Kate’s POV

“Never knew that jerk had a streak of romance in him.” Lois snorts at the large bouquet of roses

sitting on the table.

I chuckled, keeping my eyes on the file that I was signing. Dame has been going high and aboard

to show just how intact his affection for me is. Practically everyone in the building is aware of his

interest in me. Naturally, I would ask him to tone it down, but it is all part of the game plan to

make him get carried away.

“It is still thoughtful don’t you think?” I joked.

He scoffed with an eye roll. “Oh, please. There is nothing thoughtful about that silly Alpha. You

need to see the state of the north end of the pack. He isn’t paying attention to the needs of his

pack members. But he is here trying to move mountains for a love gone sour.”

“You are just jealous.” I teased.

“Yeah, right,” Lois mumbled with a fake shiver.
