“Never give up on us,” he breathed out, looking into her emerald eyes intensely.

Ezrene just gazed at him for a moment while he waited for her answer. She finally parted her mouth to say something to him but his phone started ringing, making her halt.

Asael took out his phone and Ezrene noticed his entire facial features turning rigid and numb as soon as his eyes fell on that name flashing on his phone's screen. Ezrene looked at his phone and saw it was from his father, Ziven but the thing which stunned her was that that name, which was appearing on his phone's screen. He had saved his father's name as Ziven in his phone but not as his dad, father or papa. This shocked her as this was something extremely new to her.

With his stern face, he picked up the call and pressed his phone against his ear.
