Breaking The Promise

The bright rays of the morning entered inside her room through the opened window and fell over her face. Ezrene shifted and then buried her face in her pillow before slowly opening her eyes and the very first thing her eyes tried to search for was him but unfortunately, she found herself all alone on the bed which clenched her heart.

Ezrene slowly got up and then touched the bed beside her where he had been sleeping with her last night. Her fingers gently caressed that place on the bed before she paid attention to his familiar cologne which was coming out from her duvet.

Ezrene clutched the duvet and inhaled its essence and yes, it was smelling like him and not just only this, she was also smelling like him which automatically started filling her heart with calmness but it didn't last long as soon as her eyes trailed towards her opened window which told her that he had left from there after she fell asleep and she didn't blame him for leaving her alone because she knew he was helpless
