Chapter 12

"What's wrong?" Selene screamed in my ear.

I shook my head, I didn't feel much like telling her what the bartender had told me.

I wasn't quite ready to admit that Lobo may have had some involvement in the murders.

She shimmied her way onto the dance floor while I stayed near the bar. My mind was racing over the new information I learned and I wasn't sure how to process it.

"What are you doing here?"

I spun to see Lobo glowering down at me. I remained silent but yelped when he grabbed my upper arm and pulled me away.

"What are you doing? Let go of me!"

He shoved me into a wall in the hallway leading to the toilets. It was a lot less noisy here.

"What are you doing here?" He repeated.

"I came out with Selene. Not that I need to explain myself to you."

He looked back towards the club before turning to me again, "This place is not the sort of place you want to be in. It's not safe."
