Chapter 4.

Gabria's POV.

 "Miss? Miss, wake up,”

 I slowly opened my eyes when I felt someone shaking me. A handsome face appeared in front of me while holding my shoulder, still shaking me.  He only stopped when he saw me awake.

 When I came to my senses, I realized that it was a man in front of me. I immediately pushed him and then sat up from lying down. He fell to the ground.

 I looked around and frowned when I realized that this wasn't the woods Yuna, Rose and I entered. Oh my! Where are Yuna and Rose?! Where are they? I looked around again but I didn't see Yuna and Rose.

 The surroundings are different. It no longer looks creepy, the trees are dead a while ago but now, this forest is so beautiful. The trees have healthy leaves that are green and also pink. There are flowers all around, butterflies flying around, and the whole area is shining, which made my eyes shine in awe.

 "Excuse me, miss? How did you get in here?” I turned to the man I pushed earlier. He is now standing in front of me causing me to look up to him.

 "Who are you?" I asked him while frowning.

 "I was the one who asked you first, miss, so answer," he said to me seriously. I didn't answer him and looked at him seriously.

 Who is this? Why do I feel like he's weird? He seems to be higher than me. Is he the president's son?

 He smiled when he saw my serious face while staring at him. He looks like a monkey.

 He extended his hand in front of me causing my forehead to frown even more. I hesitated if I will accept his hand, but I accepted it afterward. He helped me stand up and then let go of me. I took a few steps away from him.

 "Why did you step away from me? Am I scary?” he asked innocently.

 "Who are you?" I asked him again. I'm serious. Why hasn't he answered my question yet?

 He came closer to me and extended his hand in front of me again. "I'm Knox, you are?"

 I looked at him from head to toe before accepting his hand. "Gabria," I said briefly and then quickly took my hand back. He laughed because of that.

 "So, how did you get into our world?"  he asked me.

 "World?" I looked at him as if I was weirded out by him. "What world? Isn't this earth?" I frowned when he laughed while holding his stomach.

 "Wait... hahaha... Who said you're in earth?" he said while laughing, but also stopped when he saw my confused face. “Wait… You're a human?!” oh! Why is he surprised?

 "Eh? You are a human too. Why does it seem like you just saw a human for the first time?" my eyes narrowed.

 He covered his mouth as his eyes widened. My eyes widened when in an instant he was close to me and quickly cupped my cheeks.

 "Is this real? Are you a human?” he asked again while staring at me with big eyes.

 I haven't gotten over my surprise yet, but when I came back to my senses I immediately pushed him.

 "H-How did you..." I stammered.

 "You do not know? You are in the world of vampires," he said which surprised me even more.

 V-Vampire?! Is this a world of vampires?!

 “W-World of vampires? No… vampires are not real,” they are not real. I don't believe him.

 My eyes widened especially when his eyes suddenly turned gray. He opened his mouth and I saw his fangs.

 "What? Do you believe me now?" he asked.

 I backed away because I was afraid of what he might do to me. His real eyes and teeth returned to normal. He smiled at me and was about to walk towards me when I step back. He stopped and frowned.

 "D-Don't come near me... Don't," I put my hand in front of me so that he would know that I was stopping him from coming near me. "Don't come near me, Knox,"

 I retreated and then ran away from him even though I didn't know where to go because I didn't know where this place was. I just kept running away from that vampire.

 I'm in the world of vampires. It's hard to believe but that man proved that vampire is real and I'm here in their world. I don't know how I got in here, all I know is that I stepped on a golden stone and it slowly turned into a hand.  It grabbed my leg and then pulled me down. That's all I remembered.

 Yes, I believed in vampires even though I didn't know they were real. I was even excited to see at least one of them, not thinking that I could be in danger. But now I've seen it, I guess I don't want to see a vampire anymore because I expect them not to be real so I believe in vampires. Weird, right?

 I stopped when I bumped into something hard. I looked up when I realized that I bumped into a human... or maybe a vampire.

 I stepped back and my eyes widened when I saw his face. He was dressed all in black and had very black eyes as if he was possessed by an evil spirit. Black surrounds his eyes like eye bags. There was blood in his mouth and I knew it was fresh blood. His fangs are sharp and his claws are also long and sharp.

 I'm nervous but I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid because I have nothing to fear and I'm nervous because I know that I'm in danger but I'll fight even though I know I won't win against a being more powerful than me.

 "I will have my food again," he then wears his evil smile.

 He run towards me so I prepared myself. I know I can't win against him but I'll still want to fight as long as I can.

 I avoided his scratch but his nail still scratched my arm causing it to bleed.  He became more aggressive and his eyes darkened when he saw the blood flowing down to my arm.

 He runs towards me again. I avoid all his scratches. It was hard for me to find the right time to hurt him because he was moving fast and it got faster when he saw my blood.

 When I saw the right time, I immediately kicked him in the stomach and then slapped his face causing him to step back. I took the cloth that was in my shoe and then threw it at him. It hit his left arm.

 I was surprised when he arrived in front of me. Using his two hands, he scratched me hard causing me to fly. Good thing I crossed my arms to protect myself. I groaned as my back hit a tree.

 I looked at him while struggling with pain. My eyes widened when he raised one of his hands and something... black smoke came out. Wait... what?! Is that... black magic? Is this a dream!? Vampire then, magic? Why does what I see today seem impossible?

 My eyes widened when he threw it in my direction. I just closed my eyes and waited for that black smoke to hit me.

 I frown as I felt nothing hit me. The only thing I felt was the pain from the wounds all over my arms.

 I slowly opened my eyes and to my surprise a protective air surrounded me. I can see it because there is gray smoke around it. It immediately disappeared and suddenly Knox appeared in front of me. He was now facing the man.

 "What are you doing?" I asked him. I was still sitting on the ground looking at his back.

 He turned to me and smiled. "I'll protect you, don't worry," he said under his breath.

 He looked at my bloody arm. His eyes turned gray for a moment and then they disappeared. He smiled at me once again, before facing again the man who attempted my life.

 Knox raised his hand and a ball of air came out of it which surprised me. Does he also have powers?! It's like I'm just dreaming!

 The man also raised his hand and then black smoke came out again. The two of them were about to throw away their power when an arrow suddenly hit the man's head and he suddenly turned into ashes which surprised me even more.  What the—

 I turned to Knox when I heard him curse. He looked at me. "Stay here behind me. There's a vampire hunter around us," he then surrounded the two of us with protection.

 My eyes widened when many arrows flew toward our path. I thought we would be hit but I was wrong. Knox's defense was strong. When there was no longer a bow in our way he looked at me.

 "Are you okay? Are you hurt?” I was tormented to see the worry in his two eyes.

 “Do you think I'm not hurt? Are you a jerk, huh?! You can see that both of my arms are wounded, right? Don't you have a brain?!" I told him bluntly. His eyes turned gray as he looked at both of my arms, obviously holding back his thirst. "Don't look at my wounds!" I shouted making him look at me.

 He raised his hand and a small wind surrounded me. “There. I can't smell it anymore,"

 We turned to a tree when a woman came out with a bow. Knox became alert and immediately raised his hand with a ball of air.

 "Who are you, vampire hunter?" he asked.

 "Don't be afraid of me, I won't hurt you," the woman said.

 "Huh?! You won't hurt us?! Hey, what did you do earlier was dangerous! You freed too many arrows towards our way," Knox said seriously. There was anger in his voice.

 "I'm sorry. I thought you were a black vampire," she apologized.

 She looked at me and frowned when she saw my condition.  “Why—”

 "Don't come any closer," Knox warned her. Knox stopped her as she walked toward us. She stopped. "Wait a minute..." sniffed Knox. "Why do I smell the blood of a vampire in you?"  he asked wryly.

 "I'm a half vampire and a half human." the woman smiled. In an instant, she was in front of me. "Why is your blood different? I smell something in your blood. It is different from the blood of humans or any other kind of creature in this world. Why so?" She said with a frown and then covered her nose with a white cloth. I didn't answer.

 Does she have human blood?! What are humans doing here?

 She was about to touch me when someone grabbed her hand. "Don't touch her," Knox said seriously. The woman took her hand and then held my arm causing me to arched. "Hey! What are you doing?!" Knox asked frantically as a white light appeared in the woman's hand.

 "Don't be naughty! I have healing power so let me heal her!” the woman yelled at him causing him to be quiet.

 The light completely engulfed me causing me to close my eyes. When the light disappeared, I immediately opened my eyes. To my surprise, all my wounds disappeared. I looked at her with big eyes.

 "You're welcome," she said with a smile and then removed the cloth covering her mouth and nose. “Ouch!”  she moaned as Knox pushed her and then he moved to me.

 He held both of my arms and looked around my whole body. What is his problem? "Are you okay? Does anything hurt? Did she do something unusual?”  he asked me one after another.

 "You are very obvious, Mr," the woman said with a laugh. Knox glared at her.

 I pushed him and then stood up. In fairness, I didn't feel anything painful anymore. "Thank you," I looked at the woman. She nodded and then extended her hand to me.

 "I'm Shantelle Molve at your service," she introduced herself with a smile.

 "I'm Gabria Lia Lusenya," I accepted her hand and then shook hands with her.

 She let go of my hand and then looked at Knox. “I know you. You are one of the top strongest students in your school. Knox Ace Crowther, an Air user," Shantelle said.

 "You know me? Wow, I'm really handsome," Knox said airily. Shantelle and I looked at each other and then laughed together. "Why are you laughing?" he asked wryly.

 "You're arrogant!" Shantelle and I laughed together when we spoke at the same time. Knox scratched the back of his neck.

 "By the way, Gabria. I need to bring you to our town so you can be safe and we can find out what kind of blood you have. Because now… I can't smell your blood anymore after treating your wounds,” Shantelle said seriously.

 “Oh! Only her?" She nodded at Knox. "I will not allow that! I should be with you.  I don't know what you will do with her. I know I didn't smell her blood when I first saw her and I only smelled her blood when she had a wound but I won't allow it when I'm not with her, no!" he speaks so fast!

 "Wait..." Shantelle looked at me. "Is he your boyfriend?" My eyes widened because of her question.

 "No! I just met him. I just don't know why he is like that," she laughed at my answer.

 She looked at Knox. "You can't come,"

 "I'll go with you! You wanted it or not!" he said angrily.

 What is happening to this man? Why doesn't he want to leave me? Is he crazy?

 Shantelle raised both hands as if she had given up. "Okay okay. Chill!” she said laughing. She turned her back on us. "Hold on to me,"

 We held both of her shoulders. I'm on the left and Knox is on the right.

 I screamed as she sped up. I felt Knox grab me by the waist to keep me from falling. I just closed my eyes.

 When I felt Shantelle stop, I slowly opened my eyes. I was amazed by what I saw.

 What kind of place is this? Why is it beautiful? This world is really strange. I have accepted that I am in another world.

 The world of vampires.
