Chapter 2.

(Gabria's POV)

 I woke up because my alarm sounded.  I put the pillow on my ear because I’m not going to wake up yet, but it still sounds.  I was annoyed and killed it.

 I got off the bed and then went straight to the bathroom while still yawning.  I washed and then stared in the mirror.

 I suddenly remembered what happened last night here.  I shook my head then undressed and took a shower.

 When I finished I put on my uniform.  I went to my mirror then sat down.  I combed my hair and applied powder and lip tint.

 I grabbed my bag then went out and went to the dining room.  I reached Aunt there as if someone was waiting.

 "Aunt?  Why haven't you eaten yet? ”  I asked as I sat across from her.

 "I'm waiting for you because I want us to eat together," she said with a smile.

 "Let's eat.  Maybe you'll be late for work, ” she just nodded and then started eating so I ate as well.

 Aunt has her own company so she leaves every day to take care of it.

 By the way, today is Thursday so I'm excited for the weekend.

 “By the way, Gab.  A man came here, he is looking for you, ” the aunt said while not looking at me.

 "Who?  I don't know any man who has been close to me, ”

 "Brian," I almost swallowed the strawberry juice I was drinking.

 “ What?!  Brian?! ”  it nodded.

 "Is that your lover?"  she teasingly asked me.  "Or maybe — your boyfriend?"

 “Goodness!  Not at all, please!  We only met yesterday! ”

 "Oh. I thought so," she said regretfully.

 “Why do you look like that? ”

 "Because I thought you were going to have a boyfriend," she said.

 "That will never happen," I said loudly.

 "Don't worry, you'll find your mate soon." I heard her whisper.

 I just ignored it.

 "Aunt, I better get going," then stood up.

 “All right.  Be careful, okay? ”  I kissed her on the cheek.

 "Okay."

 I went out and got in the car that would take me to school.

 My classmates screamed when the bell rang.  It's already recess time.

 Yes!

 "Okay, class dismissed!" our math teacher said then it came out.

 My classmates also came out immediately, still ahead.

 "Hey, Gabria!"  I turned to the person who called my name.

 It's Rose and Yuna.

 "What?"

 "Aren't you hungry yet?"  Rose asked me.

 "Hungry, probably," I replied calmly.

 "So, come on!"  they pulled me both so I just let them.

 When we got inside the cafeteria we immediately looked for a seat.  We went to the middle, there was an empty table so we just sat there.

 "What do you want to eat?"  Yuna asked the two of us.

 "Burger, fries, and juice for me," Rose told her with a smile.

 The two of them looked at me as if asking what I was going to eat.

 "Fries, chocolate cake, salad, and milk tea," I bored answer to them.

 “All right. I'll be back. ” Yuna said then left.

 As we waited, Rose fiddled with her cellphone as I looked around.

 I felt as if someone was looking at me, but I didn't know who.

 I looked around but I couldn’t find who it was.

 I looked at Rose as she called me.

 "Huh?"

 "Why do you seem to be looking for something?" is the question.

 “Ahh. I'm not looking for anything.  I'm just looking around, ”I excused myself.

 "Okay," he turned his attention back to her cellphone.

 Yuna arrived with two men carrying our food.  They put it on the table in the middle.

 "Thank you, boys," Rose said softly.

 They nodded and left.

 “Hey, Yuna!  How do you make them obey? ”  Rose asked Yuna are she sat down next to her.

 This girl Love gossip.

 "I have my charm, duh!"  Yuna's steady language made Rose laugh.

 "Yeah, right!" Rose said then began to eat.

 Yuna and I ate as well.  The two were very hungry because they were eating a lot.

 I was shocked when someone shouted my name.

 "Gabria!"  I looked at the entrance of the cafeteria.

 Oh, no.

 All the students here as well as my friends looked at him.  He ignored it, walked over to me, and then sat down next to me.  He even took the milk tea in my hand and drank it.

 I would still drink ‘em!

 "That's mine!"  I took the milk tea and drank it.

 "Good morning, best friend," he said so I could almost swallow what I was drinking.

 I looked around ‘cause the surroundings were quiet.  Everyone was watching us as well as my friends.

 "Stay away from me, Brian!"  I pushed him away, but he ignored me and immediately ate my fries.

 I took that too.  "Buy yours!"  I said rudely.

 “Alright!"  he sprang to his feet and left to get some food.

 I continued to eat.  But I also stopped to see the faces of my friends.

 "What?"  I question them.

 I was shocked when the two screamed so the students' attention returned to us.

 "Hey, shut up!"  I said.

 They fell silent but the tremor was still on their faces.

 Why would they be thrilled?

 “Hey, Gab! Is he your boyfriend? ”  Yuna asked me excitedly.

 "No—" I was stopped by someone touched my shoulder.

 Guess who?

 "What?!"  his embrace was removed.

 “Your rude, ”  he frowned.

 The two of us turned by the one who cleared her throat.

 "Hey, ladies," he waved at my friends.

 The two waved shyly.

 "Babe, eat that," I rolled my eyes while looking at him.  Even my friends were surprised.

 I punched him hard in the arm.  “Babe ?!  Babe your face!  There is no us!"

 He burst out laughing while holding his stomach

 "Just a joke!"  he said laughing.

 "F*ck you!"  I immediately left the cafeteria.

 But before I could get out, I heard the last thing he said.

 "Bye, babe!"  then it laughed.

 I just closed my eyes and then went straight to the classroom.

 Go home, I'm still here in the classroom.  I'm still putting away my belongings.  Yuna and Rose are still with me.

 "So, what are you and Brian?"  Rose asked me.

 "Friends," I said simply while not looking at them.

 "But, isn't that weird?"  we looked at Yuna in a questioning look.

 "Weird?"

 “I mean when we know him.  He's a snobbish, cold, and quiet type of person.  But now, he's different, ” she said.

 I was thinking about it, either.

 Yes.  He's weird.  I don’t even know if he exists.  I mean, I never heard his name. Until yesterday came.

 "Maybe, he's in love?"  Rose said.

 In love? Psh! It doesn’t exist for me, I guess?

I remembered the man in my nightmare.

 "Guys, do you believe in vampires?"  I asked them.

 They raised an eyebrow at me.

 “Vampire?  Do you believe that?  They exist in the book.  Meaning, they are not real, ”Rose said.

 "Yes.  They are just fiction.  And if they’re true… I’ll marry one of them, ‘Cause, as far as I know, they’re handsome,” Yuna said excitedly.

 Rose immediately kicked her.  "You're flirt!”

 "Incapable!  But, Gab?  Why did you ask? ”  Yuna asked me.

 "I have a dream about vampires," I replied.

 “What?  Are you sure?"  I just nodded.

 "Care to tell?"  Rose asked.

 “In my dream, I was in the middle of the forest and its full moon.  As I was walking, I saw a shadow so I went for it, and it turns out, it’s a guy.  I thought that the guy will help me escape from that forest but it turns out, I'm running.  Why?  Because he's a f*cking vampire!  Red eyes and very dangerous fangs.  I can't see his whole face, I don't know why” I explained to them.

 "Then?"  they immediately asked.

 Hmm.  They're interested.

 “Then, I stumbled.  I stepped on a sharp rock.  My left foot was bleeding, because I wasn't wearing slippers.  What was even more shocking was that he was already standing in front of me so I threw the stone at him, it hits in his eye.  I ran even though my foot was bloody and hurt.  But, he still caught me and then grabbed my neck, ” I continued.

 “Eh? Forest? Full moon? Vampire?!  Scary!"  Yuna said as if she’s scared.

 "Did he say something or called you?"  Rose asked so I nodded.

 "What's that?"  they both asked.

 Uhmm… do I have to say?  Maybe just the first thing the guy said.

 “Baby,” I bored answer to them.

 "Baby?!"  they shouted in shock.

 I was surprised when they both screamed.

 "Hey!  What happened to the both of you?"  I wonder question them.

 “That guy is your soulmate! ”  Yuna said thrilled.

 “Tsk.  Let's go.  It's getting dark, ”I said then took the bag before leaving.

 Tsk. Soulmate? Really?

 They chased me.

 "Why do you walk so fast?"  Yuna said breathlessly.

 "You need to know!"  then immediately got on when I saw the car used by my driver.

 I don't know but I feel like someone is following us.  A frightening presence.  I've felt that in the cafeteria before.

Why is he following us?  Or just me.

 When I arrived at the mansion, I immediately got out of the car and went inside the mansion. Head maid  Esha opened up to me walking down the stairs.

 "Where is Aunt?"  I ask her.

 “You already come home.  Your Aunt worked overtime. She will be able to come home later in midnight, ” she replied to me.

 “Ah, is that so?  All right. I'll just go upstairs, ”

 “All right.  By the way, there is a cake in the kitchen, just take it from the refrigerator. ”  I just nodded then went to my room.

 I dropped my bag on my mini sofa.  Took my cellphone then lay down on the bed.

When I open my cellphone, someone pops out a notification on my F******k. So, I looked at what that was. I immediately let go of my cellphone causing it to hit my nose.

 "Sh*t"  then took my cellphone again and looked at it again.

 OMG!  No!  No!  No!  No, Gab.  You're anti-romantic.  Chill, Gab, chill!

 I picked up my cellphone again and then looked again at the guy who added me. His name is Xenon Vamir.

 Vamir?  Hmm.  Sounds familiar?

 He's handsome.  A very handsome guy and he's very popular. His profile has 1 million likes. 

OMG!

 I don’t know how many hours I’ve been staring at the picture.

 I could almost drop my cellphone when someone called.

 Unknown number?

 I answered it immediately.

 "Hello?"

 But no one answered.  I looked at my cellphone again, the call was still on.

 “Hello?  Who's this? ”  I asked but no one answered.

 “Hey, whoever you are!  Why did you call me ?! ”  but still nothing.

 “Fine! I will end this, right now! ”

 “Baby,” I froze.

 T-That v-voice.

 Suddenly the call ended.  I stared at it for a few minutes, then just shook.

 He's not him. Maybe?

 I got out of bed then put on pajamas and a black hoodie.  I left the room and then went to the kitchen.

 "Aunt esha!" I called the head maid esha.

I usually called her Aunt.

 "Why?"  it asked me.

 “I will just go out.  I'm just going to the convenience store, I'm just going to buy something, ” I said.

 “All right.  Take care.  There are a lot of people hanging out, ” she warned me.

 I went out of the house and then the guard opened the gate.  He even asked me if I needed him to accompany me, but I just said no.  I can do it alone.

 As I walked to the convenience store, I noticed that someone seemed to be following me, but if I looked behind me, there was nothing.  So I just kept walking even though I still felt that someone was following me, I just ignored that.

 When I arrived, I immediately chose what I wanted to buy.  I still looked around to see if anyone was looking at me or following me, but nothing.

 Maybe I’m just imagining it.

 When I finished shopping I immediately went to the cashier.

 "One thousand, nine hundred, twenty-one," the cashier said.

 I gave her two thousand.

 “Keep the change,” I said.

 "Thank you, ma'am."  I just nodded and then took what I bought.

 I went out to the convenience store because I wasn't comfortable, someone was still looking at me.

 As I was walking home I came across a group of people who is drinking alcohol.

 Tsk.  Drunks!

 "Hey, miss!"  I was stopped by someone calling me.

 I knew they are the who's calling me, so I just continued walking.  I stopped immediately when they interrupted me.  Five men, same age as I am.

 "Where are you going, miss?"  The man with long curly hair asked me.

 "What do you need?"  I can keep asking them questions.

 “You’re sexy,”  he laughed, his companions also laughed.

 "I don't have time for this, excuse me," I would have passed them but they hold my two arms.

 “Let me go! ”  I struggled.

 “How beautiful of you, miss.  Can we share with you? ”  he said while cares my cheeks.

 "Don't touch me, you assh*le!"  I shout.

 “You fight. I like it! ” he said while smiling and tried to kiss me, but I  avoids my face. Then, I so it over his face.

 "You b*tch!"  then he punches me in the stomach causing me to writhe in pain.

 Sh*t!  If I can get lost. I will kill you first!  It hurts!

 “Let me go!”  I shouted.

 "You're still fighting, huh?"  and someone who spoke when was about to slap me for a reason to stop him.

 "Let her go," we looked at the speaker.

 He is in front of us.  He was tall, capped, black-masked, and gloves on. That's why I can't see his face.

 "And who are you?" the guy who punched me laugh at his question.

 "It's none of your business.  Now let her go, ” the man said.

 His voice was familiar.  But, goodness! I want to hear his voice every day.

 “What if we don't want to, huh?!  What will you do?!" the drunk guy asked proudly.

 I was shocked — we were shocked when the man quickly got to the front of the leader of these drunks.  He is like the wind because of his speed.

 "H-How did you do that?"  stutter of its question.

 We were just surprised when the man kicked the leader causing him to fall and lose consciousness.

 “M-Monster.  Monster! ”  the four shouted then ran away.

 I was left in front of this man.  I'm not afraid, maybe he's just really strong.

 I was able to sit up because I could still feel the pain in my stomach.

It hurts. Sh*t! That monkey face! When I saw him again, I will kill him! Shameless!

 "Are you okay, miss?"  the man asked me.

 “Do I look okay, mister?  It’s not! ”  I shouted him.

 I heard it laugh.  I was shocked when he picked me up and then walked away.

 I just stared at him.  I wanted to shout at him for holding me but I couldn't.

 I looked at his face mask.  I wanted you to remove it, so I slowly touched her mask.  He did not growl. I successfully removed his mask.  I was amazed because this man is handsome even though I can't see his whole face.

 I felt it stop and look at me.  I blinked as his eyes turned red.

 I felt drowsy as I stared into his red eyes.  Before I could go to sleep, I heard the last thing he said.

 "Sweet dream, baby."
