Gabria's POV

I woke up because of the sun rays hitting my face. I yawned. I looked at the glass door. Who lifted the curtain?

I stood up and walked towards it. I opened the glass door and then went out to the veranda. I leaned against the railings and then looked up while closing my eyes.

It feels good to be in a ray of light. I looked down the road when I saw a man running slowly. I frowned when he stopped and then looked at me. I saw him smile. I rolled my eyes. The jerk is jogging.

I rolled my eyes again at him then went back to the room and then went to the CR.

That Brian! His face ruins my day.

I washed before staring at myself in the mirror. My eyes widen as I remember what happened last night. No way!

I hurried out of my room and went downstairs. "Aunt!" I called her loudly.  Sh*t! Sh*t!

"Why? Did something happen?" I turned to her. She came from the kitchen.

"Who brought me here last night?" I immediately asked. I want to know who! The man is a blur in my brain.

She smiled and then spoke, "Your boyfriend," I was stunned by her answer. Boyfriend?!

 "What?! Aunt, I don't have a boyfriend!”  I exclaimed.

What boyfriend is she talking about? I didn't answer one of my suitors—well, I didn't allow anyone to suit me! I have no boyfriend at all!

She laughed, "Just kidding," she said.

"So, who is it?" I asked again.

"Our guard told me that a man came to the front of the gate while he was carrying you and then gave you to him.  It was the guard who took you to your room last night," she said.

After she said that, I immediately left the mansion and then went to the guard house next to the gate. I don't know why I wanted to know who that man is. But, all I know is that I need to know who that man is.

"Hey, someone bought me here last night, right?" I immediately asked him. He was even surprised when I suddenly burst out. I almost fell next to the gate because I'm running fastly.

"Why are you running? Yes, someone bought you here last night, why?” he answered while holding his chest, obviously shocked.

"Do you know him? Did he tell you his name? Or maybe did you see his face?”  I asked one question after another that made him laugh.

"I don't know him. He didn't say his name either. And I didn't see his face because his mouth was covered and he was wearing a cap," he answered me one after the other.

I hit the counter at the guard house because of disappointment. "Are you sure?" I asked again.

“Yes. What I saw was that he was tall, about 6 feet and above," he said.

"Ah, thank you for the information." I thanked him. He just nodded.

I turned my back on him and slowly walked back to the mansion. I wonder how can I see him again. I would never say thank you to anyone but for him... I would say that. Argh! I do not know why!

I stopped walking when I saw a man standing in the yard of the mansion beside ours. He is wearing all black. From the cap to the shoes. It's like it just came from a wake or something.

I froze where I was standing when I saw his eyes.

"Those red eyes," my mind whispered. No. No way! It's not him... it's impossible! It's just a dream!

I hugged my arms when suddenly the wind blew. The air suddenly gets cold. I still didn't take my eyes off him. I felt something strange about him, I just don't know what is it.

"Gabria! Your friend told me that you three will go on a jog! They're in the park!” I turned to my Aunt. She was at the door holding my cellphone.

I looked back to where the man was earlier but he was no longer there. I roamed my eye around the whole yard, hoping that I might see him, but I was disappointed when no one is there.

"Gab! Get dress now!" I nodded at my Aunt. I walked toward her and then took my cellphone from her.

I walked to my room while thinking about the man. Is it possible that he is the one in my dream? Is he really real?  Maybe It's just an illusion.

When I got dressed in a sports bra, leggings, and white rubber shoes, I immediately left the mansion. Of course, I said goodbye to Aunt first. I put my headphones in my ears and started jogging to the park.

A lot of people were jogging. I shook my head when some men looked at me with lust. I almost laugh when some of the couples were fighting because of me. I shook my head again. It's not my fault if they looked at me. I didn't do anything just to have their attention. It's their fault, not mine. Right?

When I got to the park, I immediately looked for Rose and Yuna. I saw them waving at the bench so I went there.

"Gabria! Why are you here?" Rose immediately ask me when I got close to them.

Yuna immediately hit her on the head. "You called her, remember? Don't act like you're not the one who called her, d*mwit! You even invited her here," she said flatly. Rose scratched her head and then smiled hesitantly at me.

"So, let's go?" I asked them. I've been wanting to finish this since I have something to do at home later. It's Saturday so, no school.

They both stood up and then took their water bottles. "Let's go!" and run. I shook my head and then run towards them.

"I heard that someone bought you last night while you were unconscious," I looked at Yuna when she spoke. We are still running. Do they know?

"Ah yes, something just happened last night and luckily, that man saved me from five drunk guys. I wasn't in the mood last night. I don't want any fight," I said.

"Do you know the guy?" She asked again.

I shook my head. "No. I don't know him. I saw his face last night but it was blurry when I woke up,"

She and Rose looked at each other and then grinned. I don't know but I saw Rose's eyes turn yellow. I stopped running, making them stop too.

"Why? Why did you stop?” Rose asked me, forehead creasing.

"Did your eyes just turn yellow?" I asked her frowning. It's weird because I know it's impossible because there is no such thing as turning the eye color into yellow in just a second. I can't tell if it's contact lenses because her eyes are dark brown.

Her eyes widened and then he looked at Yuna who was also, obviously surprised by what I said. "A-Ah, my eyes didn't turn yellow. That's impossible," she said nervously. I frowned even more when she stuttered but she recovered it right away.

"Are you sure?" That's impossible, Gabria! There is no such thing as turning your eye color that quickly without contact lenses!

"She's sure, Gab. Who would believe that, right? That's impossible. Maybe you're just seeing things," Yuna answered. She looked at Rose and then smiled as if she say that it was okay.

"Ooo-kay," I said hesitantly. "Let's go," they nodded.

We were about to continue jogging when I heard someone call us.

The three of us looked at each other and slowly looked at the woods near where we standing right now.

"Who is that?" Rose immediately asked while looking at the woods.

"There must be someone in those woods," I said. "Let's go inside," I suggested.

“What?! No! It's scary in there," Rose said fearfully while clinging to my arm.

"What's scary? Hey! Those woods aren't that scary. Why are you afraid? It's not like you're not a—” Yuna stopped for a moment while looking at me. I frowned because of that. "Woman. Women are fearless,"

Rose laughed. "That's right. Let's go.  Let's go in there. Let's see if there's anyone inside," after she said that, she immediately pulled us as if she hadn't been scared a while ago. Why does her mood change so easily?

When Rose finally pulled us inside, I frowned when I saw nothing but trees as we walked inside.

"There's no one here," Yuna said as she looked around.

"Maybe she or he is just around here, hiding," I answered. Who wouldn't call us if there is no one here, right? It is not a ghost because the three of us heard it. And I am sure that it was a human.

"Hiding from whom?" Rose asked. Yes. From who? Did someone try to kill him or her?

"Maybe there is—" I stopped speaking when we heard a rustling behind a large tree not so far from us. "I'm going to check that tree," they were going to stop me but I walked towards it.

"Be careful!" I heard Yuna shout.

I didn't look back because I had already arrived in front of the big tree. I went behind it but when I arrived, there was no one, not even an animal. Is there a ghost here? How did it happen that someone or even an animal made a sound here when there was no one there?

I just shook my head and looked in the distance. I frowned when I saw someone standing there. She was all black but not like what I had seen before. She was wearing a black cloak so that half of her face could not be seen. My hair rose when she grinned, it was not just a grin, it was an evil smile that everyone would be afraid to see. Well, not me. My hair just rose because of the way she smiled.

She turned and walked away. I was about to follow her when I stepped on something strange. I slowly looked at my feet...

 “Sh*t! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

 Yuna's POV

Rose and I looked at each other with wide eyes when we heard Gabria's scream. We also looked at the tree she went to.

"Yuna," Rose called me nervously while we are still looking at the big tree not so far from us.

"Let's go," we immediately ran to where Gab was.

Sh*t! If something happens to her... we will be in great danger.

"She's not here, Yuna," I was nervous when we couldn't see anything behind the tree. All we can see is a lot of trees, but gabria is nowhere to be found.

I rolled my eyes around until I saw something on the ground. I slowly took it and looked at it. I cursed when I realized it was Gabria's necklace. The necklace that I gave her just to find out if it was her and not a clone or an imitation of her.

"Yuna, that's Gabria's necklace.  Something happened to her,"  Rose said making me more nervous.

"Rose, vision now!" She looked at me with confusion. I hold her arms. “Vision, Rose. Don't panic. We need to know where she is because we will be in great danger if the King will find out that she is missing," I calmly told her causing him to calm down and then slowly nodded.

His eyes turned yellow and then she looked around. I expect that she will find her because I believe that she's still here, I think she's just lost in this jungle.

I frowned when Rose was startled and her eyes slowly returned to their true color.

"What did you see? Why are you surprised? Did you see Gabria?” I asked her one after another. She looked at me. There is a trace of disappointment on her face. I was discouraged but I shouldn't have felt it because she hadn't said anything yet.

“I saw hunters around and animals. I was surprised because I saw a hunter shoot a bird. And I didn't see Gabria around even in the darkest part of the woods, she's not there,” it was like the sky and the earth fell on me because of what she said.

Where did you go, Gabria? The King will kill us if he finds out that you are missing!

"Let's just go back to our real world and then tell the king what happened." And walked out of that place first. I even heard her complaint because it was dangerous. After all, we would be killed in no time. I ignored her.

Wherever you are. I hope you are safe and your body is unscathed… because… the man who has wanted to take you for a long time is waiting for you.

 Someone's POV

"Beloved king! The ones you sent are here," Father and I looked at the two women who entered.

"Yuna, Rose, why are you doing here?"  Father asked them.

Yuna and Rose are my childhood friends. We are groupmates in our school that is the protecter of our academy. Not just in the academy, we protect all vampires in this world from the evil vampires, Dervy. The two of them and our other girl in the group were the only girls among us. We did missions. Our Head Mistress asked us to do it because we were the only strong ones in our school.

"She's gone..." they looked at each other before Yuna continued. "The girl that we were protecting is gone." I frowned because of that.

Who are they protecting? Why did the father send them to protect someone? That's why they aren't attending school often. They just attend once a week making me curious. But now, that explains everything.

"What?!" Father stood up in shock. I was also surprised when he stood up.

I expected him to be angry but he just smiled and then sat back on his throne.  Good thing mother wasn't here. She would be shocked about this. But I think, she knows it already and I'm the one who has no idea who the person they are guarding is.

"It's fine," the two looked at him in surprise.

"W-What?! Fine?! Your majesty, she's our best friend! How can we let that go?!” Yuna shouted. Rose was quiet but the shock was obvious on her face. Why are they surprised? Is the person important to them?

My father's expression a while ago, he looked so shocked but now, he looked relieved. Is he hiding something from me? I could see him glancing at me while trying to hide his grin.

"Don't worry, she's safe with..." he looked at me meanly, grinning.  "Someone," I saw the two let out of breath in relief.

I wanted to ask but I didn't. Everyone knows that I don't care about some nonsense issue or gossip about people.

"Both of you, go back to the academy and rest. You too, son. You'll go with them," I gave my father an emotionless nod and then walked out. I know the two followed me.

I don't care about everything but, there is someone that I want to know and want to be mine.

I know that you're in this world. I feel your presence in the air. I will find you...

 My mate.

He only stopped when he saw me awake. When I came to my senses, I realized that it was a man in front of me. I immediately pushed him and then sat up from lying down. He fell to the ground. I looked around and frowned when I realized that this wasn't the woods Yuna, Rose and I entered. Oh my! Where are Yuna and Rose?! Where are they? I looked around again but I didn't see Yuna and Rose. The surroundings are different. It no longer looks creepy, the trees are dead a while ago but now, this forest is so beautiful. The trees have healthy leaves that are green and also pink. There are flowers all around, butterflies flying around, and the whole area is shining, which made my eyes shine in awe. "Excuse me, miss? How did you get in here?” I turned to the man I pushed earlier. He is now standing in front of me

I let go of my grip on Shantelle's shoulder as she started to walk towards the front of the big gate. I was about to walk when I felt someone holding my waist. I looked at Knox who was just staring straight ahead. "Knox," I called him but he didn't look at me. "Knox," I called him again and luckily he looked at me. "Why? Are you afraid?" he asked worriedly. I was secretly annoyed. What's with him? Why does he seem to care about me? There is something wrong with this guy. He seemed to be... concern about me. But no! I won't let myself comfortable with him. "Your hand," he quickly took his hand from holding my waist and scratched the nape of his neck, and then

"W-What? B-But..." Knox looked at me like he didn't want to leave me. "I will not leave Gabria here," "You stubborn, kid. I'll say it again, you can't come in here, so just go home," the Mayor said seriously. "No! I won't leave her, she might be in danger here!" Knox looked at me again. "Gabria, they don't want to let me in. You might get hurt in here," he said worriedly. Why is he like this? We just met, why is he so protective? I mean, he doesn't know me that well to be like that. We're not even friends. We're just strangers who accidentally met. I shook my head at him. "No, I'm goo

We won't look for you because we want you to discover who we are and where we are. Goodbye,” they started walking backward. "W-Wait... are you my parents?" I stopped them. Gabria's POV. I looked at Mayor Cendric in confusion. Why is he not letting Knox in? Are vampires not allowed here? He's a vampire, the same as Shantelle. "W-What?" Knox asked him in confusion. "Go home. I know your school needs you. And you can't come into this place, do you understand, vampire?" He said, authoritatively. Huh? Not allowed? Why did he get in earlier? Is this man crazy?

Gabria's POV A large brown gate with flowers surrounding it. There are also butterflies flying and landing on the flowers. It says 'Hunter Village' on top. Nice! It was like I was in a fairytale even though I used to think that fairytale-like place wasn't real. But now, wow! Fairytale places do exist.

Gabria's POV. "Miss? Miss, wake up,” I slowly opened my eyes when I felt someone shaking me. A handsome face appeared in front of me while holding my shoulder, still shaking me.
