Serena POV . . 'How can that be? She's nothing but a bastard human!' I threw away the first thing that I grabbed on the table in my room, and it smashed right into the window. "Miss Serena, calm down!" Miranda had been watching me since we both left the grand ball and strode straight to my chamber in the palace. Logan gave me the east wing to stay for as long as I wanted, and this has been my home since I was in high school. We had our own place outside of the palace, which was twenty minutes away from here. "How can I calm down, Miranda? He already marked her. That b*tch!" I picked up another vase and threw it on the floor far away from the table. The broken pot cut my fingers, and blood sprouted on the carpet. "Miss Serena, your fingers!" Miranda was about to come closer, but I raised my hand to stop her. My finger was beginning to heal when I checked it. "Tell me, Miranda. How did that b*tch still alive? I thought she was burned alive a year ago. How could that happ
Serena POV . . "Bring me to her!" I commanded condescendingly. Miranda led the way right in an instant. "How long has she been in the kingdom?! How come I didn't know?!" All the while, I was kept blind by what was happening in our world. I knew that Logan and Jackson left the kingdom a few months ago, but the only information I got from the council was that they had to take care of something very important. "Miss Serena, do you remember when the king and his beta left a few months ago? After that, they brought home some witches in secret!" A gasp escaped from my agape mouth upon mentioning the word witches. "Some of them are in the dungeon, and this one is at the inflammatory!" Miranda turned left as she narrated the events a few months ago. "What makes this one special? Shouldn't she be in the dungeon, too?!" I was already enraged that Jaque came back breathing like she really reincarnated, and now a group of ugly witches were roaming the kingdom. Although they were in the
Jaque POV . . "Witch Anya!" I screamed upon seeing her lifting her hand in the air. She was still shaking, and I could see that she was not totally healed yet. She had drained her powers to fight Orora last time, and that caused her to fall into a slumber for months. Now, she was using her power again to hang Serena in the air in her wolf form. Serena's wolf howled as she tried to free herself from that invisible force that was holding her, but Witch Anya's power was strong. "Aunt Anya, you are not healed yet!" It was Kelly, and she was now in her human form, naked. One of the warriors draped a cape around her shoulders to cover her body, which she nodded in appreciation. "We can take care of her!" Kelly added as she tried to come near her aunt. "Stay back!' Witch Anya uttered in a hoarse tone. Her voice was a mixture of a beast and her own. "This wolf tried to hurt my master!" Witch Anya hardened her fingers like she was gripping something, and when we saw how Serena wince
Logan POV . . While we were searching for that unknown force that trespassed our lands, Jackson kept on looking at his watch, and I couldn't help but ask. "What's the matter?" I squinted my eyes at him. He just gave a quick glance and gazed at his watch again. Then he stood up and observed the woods. "Beta Jackson, I am asking you a question!" I was annoyed when he just ignored me. "My king!" Finally, he spoke and strode toward me. "Don't you notice something strange?!" He asked rather, making me crease my brows at him. He also glanced at our warriors, who were sniffing and searching around. Some even climbed up the trees to see further, while some ran to the deepest parts of the forest, but also aware that they could still be reached through mind-link. "What something strange are you talking about, Beta Jackson?" I questioned with a little annoyance. How come he could see something that I couldn't or feel something that I couldn't? "How long have we been searching in
Logan POV . . "Col?!" I asked, repeating his name in my mouth. "Just Col?!" He nodded. His stern gaze was fixed on me. "What are you doing in my territory?!" I had a notion that these were the unknown forces that trespassed into our kingdom. "Just passing by. We don't know where we're going. We came from a faraway land, and we just arrived in this place two weeks ago. One of your warriors smelled our scents. We actually came in peace, but it looked like your warriors were trained to treat passersby this way... very hospitable!" His words were laced with sarcasm, but I just sneered at them. "We are just being vigilant!" I came up with a short reply, then glanced at Jackson. 'Is your watch working now?' I asked through mind-link. Jackson almost jolted in his spot when he heard my voice and then observed his watch and shook his head. 'Negative!' He responded with a snarl. 'These creatures are powerful. What are we going to do?!' 'Let me continue talking with their leader!'
Jaque POV . . 'Wow, this is like Mission Impossible in the Werewolf World!' Kelly mind-linked me while we were stealthily passing by the corridors going to the dungeon. Guards were everywhere, standing alert with their complete armor. There were lamps attached to the brick walls to give light to this unending path. 'Yeah! The only difference is that we're like filming a horror story here!' I told her, making her chuckle at the back of my head. 'Witch Anya said she is at the far corner of the cell, and her sisters are at the opposite side!' 'Uhu! That corner. The oil Aunt Anya rubbed on my skin tells me she is in that cell!' We both glanced at a cell covered in pure bricks, and the door was a thick metal. There was no window except for a small rectangular hole, where we could just peek if we wanted to know what she was doing inside. "How can somebody live in a dungeon? I can't imagine myself in this place!" I whispered, forgetting that we were wearing an invisible cloak.
Jaque POV . . "Who gave you stupid permission to go down the dungeon?!" Logan's voice echoed in the whole courtroom. My head was hung low, and so was Kelly's while we were standing in front of him, his beta, and that f*cking wh*re, Serena. 'What is she doing there?' I asked Shiva, who had been dormant since the dungeon scene. My eyes side glanced at the other audience, and on the right was the council. On our left was Delta Peter, Gamma Kyle, and the seer of the kingdom, whose name was Maritha. "I asked you a question!" Logan roared, making me and Kelly startled. Our shoulders bounced up as we met his gaze. In there, I saw the face of a ruler, ruthless and merciless. However, there was also something lacing behind that tyrant look. It was the sorry and pity he felt for his mate. "No one!" I answered in a low tone. "If there's no one, then how did you get this invisible cloak?" It was Serena who asked this time. "I took that cloak from my aunt when she stayed in our
Jaque POV . . "This isn't bad!" Kelly whispered as she rummaged through the small room they brought us in. She was right. There were two small wooden beds inside and a window. Kelly ambled to the window and tiptoed to take a glimpse of the sky. "Hey, Jaque! Are we near the cliff? I can hear the sound of water!" I also walked to the window and checked it myself. "I think we are. The breeze is different here. It's stronger and cooler!" I told her. I went back to one of the beds and sat on the edge. This cell reminded me of my old bedroom at the Davis household. It's almost the same as this, including the bed. There was a small bathroom at the corner and a separate toilet. I thought prisoners' rooms were horrible. However, this one didn't even look like one. The wall was even painted in white, and the beddings were neatly folded on the bed. "It's like we're just having a small vacation. Did your mate arrange this?" I thought he did. I could see from his look at the courtroom ea
Adam POV . . "This is just a misunderstanding, Queen Anicia. I was brought here by the water. I was in the Atlantis, talking to my mate Princess Amira. I was supposed to go back to my pack but the water brought me here by accident!" "It wasn't an accident, Alpha Adam. It was fate that brought you here!" Seriously, this queen was getting on my nerves. Kylo snarled at her. 'Is this how she repays our kindness? Has she forgotten that we saved her kingdom from her abusive mate before?' Kylo snapped it loud. 'Need I to remind her that, perhaps!' I told my wolf while my jaw ticked. We had been having an argument for my stay here in their kingdom. These werebears forbade me to even walk to the door. They literally made me their prisoner here. All because of this mentally ill werebear woman standing next to me. "Why not tell that to my mate? We'll see what's going to happen!" I questioned. My orbs were seething in rage. I was losing patience, and at the same time, my wolf wa
Orora POV . . In the Kingdom of Diaphora King Arabic Reubus had managed to bring everything back to normal, almost half of it. The kingdom was still in the process of fixing the ruins the previous war had made, but at least the dragons were working together. They were doing their best to have the glory of their lost kingdom with them once again. I saw my mate commanding one of the dragons about the vast empty lands. Based on their body movements, his king was telling him about his plan for that brownish ground. I felt so curious that I strode toward them. The white thin dress I was wearing had reached my ankles, and every blow of the wind made its hem wave, dancing freely with the breeze. I heard my mate sniff and turned around to greet me with his captivating smile. "My queen, what brought you here?" He asked. The dragon next to him smiled at me before he lowered his head as his greeting. "I felt bored staying in the room. I want to see what you guys are doing. Also,
Adam POV . . "Who is he in your life, Amira? Why do you have to distance yourself from me? Amira, give me at least a clear explanation, so I also know what to do!" I was on the edge of a cliff with my situation right now. "I can't tell you yet, Adam. Give me a few months. A couple of months to be exact. Then I will tell you my decision after that!" "A couple of weeks of not seeing you is a h*ll in my life, Amira. What about a couple of months? Amira, seriously, tell me the truth. Who is that Amet to you?" "I already told you, Adam. I can't tell you yet. In the meantime, you have to trust me. If you can't wait!" She paused for a while. "Then we can reject each other and just forget everything!" "No one is talking about rejecting here, Princess Amira!" I roared as I gripped her waist and held her tightly. "Don't even think about it!" I sternly told her. Every word I uttered was a bullet piercing her heart. "I will wait. If that's what you want. A couple of months then. But if I
Adam POV . . "Adam? Is that you?" My dear mate had the audacity to ask. Could she not recognize me? "How did you get here?" Wrong question! That even made me more furious. "What am I doing here?!" I asked, repeating her words with sarcasm. I stepped heavily toward the two. My fists clenched when the merman stepped forward and spread his arm, blocking my sight to Amira. "Step aside, stinky fish!" My blood was boiling in fury that I pushed the merman aside, but he didn't even move. "Adam, stop that!" Amira roared, upset. The water around her suddenly produced bubbles. "My princess, just one word!" This annoying merman glanced over his shoulder. I had to admit he had the body physique of a great warrior. He had muscles everywhere, and the height like mine, King Logan, Prince Alaric, and Collen. He was holding a triton in his right arm and a pearl necklace hanging around his neck. "Who is he, Amira?!" I asked, but it was this merman's slap that answered my question. I
Adam POV . . 'Ayesha, where is she? Listen! That was all a misunderstanding, okay? Let me speak to her!' I was almost begging through mind-link. I was pacing back and forth in my office and had no clue how to reach her. 'Can you just tell me where she is?' 'She's in her castle in Atlantis. Alpha Adam, if I were you, I would give her space to think and reflect on her feelings about you!' 'What do you mean by reflect?' I roared. I was taken aback by her words. 'There's nothing to reflect on her feelings for me, okay? I'm serious about her. She is my mate and my Luna. Just show me the way to get to Atlantis. Give me now!' I was getting enraged. This servant of Amira was stern. 'Nope, can't do it, Alpha Adam!' I imagined her crossing her arms over her chest. 'I have to go. I have some matters to do for my mistress!' 'Like what?' Sometimes Ayesha just burst our words that could trigger me and my wolf. And this one was already giving me goosebumps, and she didn't even tell m
Adam POV . . The death of my parents took a toll on my life. We had a werewolf funeral, and it ended for 40 days. First, my parents were mourned by the Blood Moon Pack members in the first week. The alphas of different packs came after, and they stayed in the pack for a week, then the people in the palace led by our king and queen came on the third week and stayed for two weeks in the pack. In the last week, all the werewolf packs paid tribute to the former Alpha and Luna of the Blood Moon Pack. Queen Anicia from the werebear clan also gave her final respect on the fourth week. At sunset, it was a tradition to burn the body of the werewolf and watch the smoke fly to the sky. Then we all shifted into our wolf forms and lifted our heads, howling as we grieved for the loss of our loved ones. That day was the most painful day of the Blood Moon Pack, for it was not just my parents who were burned under the shade of the moonlight. There were almost two hundred of them. The king and
Alectrona POV . . "Alectrona, what brought you here?" Magenta, Diana's long-time servant, met me at the door instead of her. Dameron and I strode towards Diana's chamber rather, ignoring her presence. My cloak danced swiftly in the air as I marched down. The annoying servant hastily ran past us and spread her arms, blocking our way. "You can't go in!" She sternly stopped us. "The moon goddess is not interested in seeing you today, Alectrona!" I just chuckled at her and passed my attention to Dameron, who had been gritting his teeth on her. These two had an unresolved grudge in the past. "Dameron, you know what to do!" I told my servant, and he sneered at once. His snarl signaled the beginning of their unfinished business. Dameron was a shape-shifter while Magenta was a she-wolf. I wanted to watch this once-in-a-lifetime show, but I had bigger fish to catch. As I strode towards Diana's chamber, a dozen warriors immediately lined up in rows to stop me. I just swayed my
Alectrona POV . . I watched my best weapons banish in front of me. The snake that I secretly took care of since it was small, fed it with fresh blood from both humans and animals, and trained it to be loyal and obedient was now just vapor in the wind. The werebear that I wielded and experimented with had turned into its normal size, a useless naked human slave wriggling like a worm. His body was covered with bruises, claw marks, and canine bites. "Useless fools!" I couldn't help but freak out, shaking the whole enormous cave with my voice. "I only have one weapon left!" I thought about it. However, I was not even sure if this one could be trusted. She had a dark heart, but she was new. "My goddess, I have news!" My one and only warrior, who managed to escape in that dragon's kingdom, came in. He bowed to me. He had lost his right arm when he dared to fight Delmar. That traitor! He was just like Thorin. I fed them, drank my wine, sat on my throne, and then what did the
Amira POV . . "What the heck had just happened?" Alaric was pissed. The giant hawk landed on the rock, and Alaric jumped down, furious. There were still fireballs on both of his palms, and they hastily disappeared when he clenched his fists. "Is that some kind of a trick again just like before?" He pointed at the imaginary spot where the two giant beasts disappeared. "Obviously, it is!" King Logan answered. He was now in his human form and wearing his original king warrior uniform. "Alectrona did not want to lose. She always has replacement plans!" King Logan glanced around, devastated. "Princess Amira, where is Alpha Adam?" He suddenly asked. "As much as I want to join in your conversation, King Logan, brother Alaric. I have to attend to my mate first!" I told them. I almost forgot about Adam's parents. I turned around, my eyes roaming the disastered area. I could not find Adam anywhere. The battle had temporarily stopped an hour ago, and some of the casualties were now te
