Seraphine held the trunk of tree and tried to regain her breathing. That name Aeryes— she heard it before. It was that time when she saw that magical beast during auction. Seraphine couldn’t comprehend what connection it would have with her possibly.

Just what was the gap she wasn’t able to sort out? Maybe she was really close to the answer. The truth was at the tip of her tongue, but she wasn’t able to exactly figure it out. Only a questions of her needed to be answered before she added everything up, making a sense out of the conclusion she reached.

Her knees gave out, and exhausted from running around, she breathed heavily, leaning against the tree trunk. Staring at the surroundings, she could see that she was at the unfamiliar, deserted part of the town. Back then, she didn’t pay much attention to where her feet led her in midst of panic.

Even her sword was left behind. Looking around, she wasn’t exactly able to recognize
