“The fuck is this doing here?”

“I’m trying to figure it out too.”

Caspian and Anna stared at the white fluffy puppy on a box at their doorstep, they looked down at it, their lips twitching in confusion. Caspian turned to Mariam who was standing behind them, still watching the puppy who stared at them, his tongue out and its tail wagging behind him in the box.

“Who brought this here?” He inquired.

“I’d been in the kitchen when I heard the bell ring. When I opened the door, there was no one there, just the box. That was and then, I called you both.”

“Just the box?”

“Yes, sir.”

“But who would drop a damn puppy at my doorstep and leave?”

Anna examined the puppy, side-eying it as if warning it to get its eyes off her. She wasn’t a fan of pets and just like her, it seemed Caspian also wasn’t a fan of pets, maybe just puppies?

“Should we throw it out?” She asked him.

“We should then.”
