Anna rushed toward her father the moment she stepped into the hospital room. She sat on the chair at his side of the bed and held his hand in her palm.

“Are you alright, Father?”

The man slowly opened his eyes to look at her, his eyes weakly staring at her. Anna’s heart broke as she stared at the man, lying weakly in a hospital bed with different medical machines connected to him.

She’d been having lunch with her mother-in-law at the penthouse when she got a call that her father was in the hospital. According to the doctor, he had a sudden heart attack and was rushed to the hospital immediately.
