“A jerk named Caleb,” Evan spelled out the name flashing on the screen and glanced at me with disappointment on his features.

“What’s this Rosy? Don’t tell me you have gone back to this scumbag,” pain filled Evan’s voice as he spoke.

I shook my head, hoping he would believe me.

“I… I don’t have anything to do with him, why will I go back to my past and vomit?” I tried to convince him, but Evan’s scoff showed that he wasn’t convinced at all.

“Why is he calling you and how did he get your mobile number?” Evan said I could tell that he was refraining from blowing up in anger.

“He probably got my number from someone or somewhere, I have no idea,” lies rolled out of my tongue smoothly.

When did I learn to lie this much?

Evan stared at me in bemusement and disbelief.

“His fucking number is saved, Rosy! You’ve been seeing him, haven’t you, this is not the first time he is calling, right?” Evan finally flared up.

I have lied to him enough, I have cheated on him enough.
