Those words kept bouncing in and out of my head, giving me chills around my body.

“Drive faster!” I snapped at the poor chauffeur who had been taking in the anger emitting from me.

What do I tell Evan when I get home? How is he going to react if he gets to know about this? What am I going to do to make Madam Helen realize that Evan is not the kind of person she thinks he is?

I sighed for the umpteenth time and ruffled my hair, wishing that I would find an answer, too.

I have been put in a tight corner, now I’m going to have to choose between seeking revenge or finding love.

“Turn around,” I said to the driver and he glanced back at me in confusion.

“Where, ma’am?”

I tilted my head, hardening my face and possibly, my heart and soul.

“The cemetery,” I replied.

He nodded and took a reverse, heading in the direction that led to the cemetery.

When we got there, I stepped out of the car and walked into the burial ground, searching for my daughter’s tombstone with my angry
