However, their voices had Liam feeling like something sharp was ripping his heart from the inside, and no matter how hard he tried to block out the noise, it kept getting louder, leaving him in a state of agonizing pain.
His eyes didn't sway away from Carmen as he clutched his fist and took a step towards her.
‘Sure! You both may be living in la-la land because your affair is hidden. But what happens when it comes in the open? Who do you think will be in favor of you guys? Have you thought about Carmen's image or how you are going to drag her down in the mess you made!’
With an aching heart, Liam slightly shook his head to get those words out of his mind as it rang in his ears. Then he took another step forward.
