My heart dropped in my chest as Hannah drew Jace’s chair closer to the bed.

“He knows.” I stated blankly. Her nod confirmed my fears. “How, I…” I panicked on my way to the hospital screaming at the top of my lungs that my child was in danger. The question I should’ve been asking was ‘who DIDN’T know.

“Oh god.” I placed my hands over my face. “Tami must’ve told him.” I laughed drily, “maybe she even caused the accident. My mum said she would hurt me, I just assumed it was her brain doing it’s thing again. What if Tami was trying to kill my child, what if she succeeded? The doctors won’t tell me anything-“

“Hey, hey…breathe honey.” She squeezed my shoulder and I did as she instructed.”

“Let’s not focus on what has happened alright? Let’s try to deal with now. And the problem now, is that Pierce knows that you’re pregnant.”
