Time (Around 11pm getting to 12am)

Back home, on entering the premises, the four found Shin Hye seated outside on the stairs with Jay. And they immediately came to a stop, staring at the two who were laughing, looking so happy, comfortable around each other.

What were they talking?

And........

Tae Jin,.......was he okay?

Hae Jin thought as he stared at Tae Jin and he wasn't the only one.

Chae Joon and Se Jong were staring at him as well.

Waiting for his reaction.

But,.......... what the heck were they seeing? Why did Tae Jin look so unconcerned?

Then again, Se Jong knew why. But seriously, can he pretend to be affected?

"Oh, Tae Jin, you're back" Shin Hye awkwardly said when she noticed Tae Jin. 

Standing up, Jay did the same as well.

Feeling awkward.

He was in trouble wasn't he?

Well, this would have happened sooner or later. 

"Se Jong, you guys are back. Where did you go? You guys left without a word" Shin Hye said.

She.......she was in trouble right? 

"Is late Shin Hye, why are you still up?" Tae Jin said, looking unconcerned, sounding like one.

What the heck?! Should he be acting this way?

Why wasn't he angry? Jealous? He just saw her with another guy!

For some reason........Shin Hye was angry about this.

"And who's this?" Tae Jin asked and she hesitantly answered,

"Our neighbor, Jay. Our next door neighbor. He's my friend and we attend the same school"

"I see" Tae Jin replied, staring at Jay. There was definitely something wrong with this guy.

Tae Jin couldn't put a finger on it but.........there was something........was it wrong?

Was that something really wrong?

"I'll go in first" Se Jong said walking past Hae Jin with Chae Joon following.

Shin Hye didn't look happy. Looks like she'll yell at Tae Jin any moment now.

They had to talk.

"Tae Jin, you.....where did you go?" Why did she ask this?

Why wasn't he mad? Why was he taking this so well? Why?

This was what she should have asked.

She really wanted to know why, even though, she now knew that, she no longer felt the same way about Tae Jin.

So then why? Why was she upset?

Maybe because.........for once, she wanted to see Tae Jin jealous. She wanted to see him angry. Possessive of her.

But it wasn't happening and she was starting to think...........

"I had something to take care with Se Jong" Tae Jin answered her question before looking at Jay,

"Nice to meet you Jay. Is late so I'll go in to rest now. We have school tomorrow" Tae Jin said to Jay, a friendly smile on his face and he awkwardly nodded.

"Goodnight Shin Hye" Tae Jin said to her before making his way to the house. Hae Jin following him. He was really worried about Tae Jin.

Why? What was Tae Jin's reaction just now? It wasn't like she wanted to see Tae Jin hurt.

She didn't want to hurt him.

She only wanted to know if Tae Jin really loved her, if he meant it when he said the words.

But then.........

"Are you okay Shin Hye?" Jay asked.

"Why? What is the meaning of this? His reaction. What the heck is the meaning?!" Shin Hye yelled out, staring at Jay. The anger, sadness, disappointment in her eyes couldn't be missed.

And Jay...........he felt broken at the sight.

Shin Hye really loved Tae Jin.

He knew this already, but it still hurt.

Entering the room, Tae Jin turned on the light, went for his nightwear from the wardrobe and then went straight to the bathroom. His towel was in there (The bathroom) so there was no need looking for it.

The room looked neat, clean. Smelled nice.

And that's because Se Jong cleaned up ever since he left.

Even did it this morning before he went for school.

Hae Jin went for the bed, sat on it and leaned against the bedframe.

Worriedly staring at the bathroom door, waiting for Tae Jin to come out, he heard the sound of running water and knew right away that, Tae Jin was taking a shower.

*Sigh, he sighed.

Was he ready okay? Seeing his girlfriend with another guy.

But then,.......Tae Jin looked like he didn't mind it.

Or,......was he pretending?

Some time later, Tae Jin opened the bathroom door, getting Hae Jin out of his thoughts.

Coming out and closing the door behind him, Tae Jin dried his hair with the towel, not noticing the pair of eyes that watched him.

After buttoning his top, Tae Jin left out four and it revealed his slightly wet chest.

That...... that looked.... inviting! Like.....Like.......

Hae Jin couldn't stop staring, eyes widened, his mouth opened wide. He was literally drooling over his exposed chest.

What the heck was he thinking?!

What was he (Tae Jin) trying to do to him?!!!

"Oh, hyung, are you okay?" Tae Jin asked, now holding his towel, staring at his hyung whose eyes was on his chest.

Eyes full of desire.

But the stupid Tae Jin didn't notice this.

"Hyung" he called out to him again and this time, Hae Jin snapped out, yelling "Button up! And get the towel out!"

Fluttered.

He was......... fluttered! He couldn't breathe and his heart was racing like crazy!

It......it felt so damn hot in here!

What the heck was he doing to him?!

Hae Jin thought, face red as he looked away from Tae Jin.

What was that about? Tae Jin asked himself, confused.

After getting the towel back to the bathroom, Tae Jin came back with his phone, turned off the lights and head for the bed.

Now, the top was fully buttoned. Tae Jin's chest was no matter exposed and though Hae Jin was glad,....he still felt a little disappointed.

Why was that?!

*Sigh, whatever!

"Are you okay?" Hae Jin asked as he watched Tae Jin put his phone on the drawer before getting on the bed and leaning against the bed frame as well.

"Yes" *Sigh, Tae Jin sighed tiredly before continuing, "I should be asking you that. You didn't look too good on our way back"

"And you just saw your girlfriend with someone else" Hae Jin countered.

"I don't want to talk about that hyung. Are you okay?" Tae Jin asked.

"Fine. Kim Soo is in a good place now, so am fine" Hae Jin said and he asked himself,

Was she really?

"Okay"

"Tell me how you're feeling. I'm worried" Hae Jin said.

He.......he might not want to hear it but he cared a lot for Tae Jin.

For him, he'll set aside his selfishness.

Tae Jin had to be okay first.

"Are you jealous? Seeing them together? Do you.....do you love Shin Hye that much?" Hae Jin asked.

He did not want to hear the answer!

And he wonder why he even asked!

"The first time Shin Hye asked me out, I thought she was joking" Tae Jin said.

This wasn't the answer he was waiting for.

"But seeing how serious, anxious she looked, I realized she really wanted us to be together. She said she loved me and I believed her"

Okay,.......but why was he telling him this?

"I thought she was so brave,...... taking the first step" Tae Jin said, smiling.

*Sigh, Tae Jin sighed in mind, he didn't want to hear about this anymore.

"Why are you telling me this?" Hae Jin asked, a blank expression on his face. Tae Jin couldn't read him.

What was his hyung thinking about?

"You love her a lot"

"Hyung, am not done" Tae Jin said and silence blew.

Gosh, it was so awkward. Too quiet. What was he (Hae Jin) thinking about?

*Sigh, Hae Jin sighed, "You should tell her you're not okay seeing her with someone else. It look like she wanted to hear you say that" he said, dethroning Mr Silence and Mr Awkward.

Tae Jin: Mr what?

*Sigh, Tae Jin sighed before asking, "And how do you know am not okay with that?"

"No one would be okay. Seeing the person they love, the person they're dating with someone else. That too just the two of them. Talking and laughing like that" Hae Jin answered and he (Tae Jin) sighed again,

"Why? Why are you trying to hard?" He asked, looking for Hae Jin.

Staring at each other's eyes, Hae Jin said,

"Because I want you to be happy" the honesty in his beautiful crystal blue eyes couldn't be missed.

Tae Jin believed him.

"I wrote the farewell letter myself" he said, surprising Hae Jin.

This wasn't what they were talking about.

Why did he suddenly change the topic?

And.......he really wrote it himself?

The five year old Tae Jin did?!

"I did it that very day. On my fifth birthday, after we cut the cake, my mom broke the news that I'll be leaving for the states"

Huh? Hae Jin asked himself.

"I left a week later but I never came around because I knew if I did, I would have change my mind the moment I saw you. That's why I gave the letter to Sung Yoon and left immediately"

His hyung had no idea, it took a lot from him not to give him the letter himself, not to see him.

"You wrote the letter yourself?" Hae Jin asked.

"You know, Sung Yoon said the spellings and handwriting was just too good coming from a five year old kid"

"What do you take five year old kids for?" Tae Jin asked but he didn't answer.

"She even said it looked more like a love letter" Hae Jin said, smiling.

A smile on his face as he stared at his hyung, Tae Jin asked, "Did it?"

"Maybe" Hae Jin replied, smiling.

"And did you like it?" Tae Jin asked. Lost in the moment, Hae Jin replied, not realizing,

"I love it"

"That's all I want to hear" Tae Jin said, smiling and this snapped him out.

Hold on! What did he (Hae Jin) just say?!

"Uh, Tae Jin...."

"I'm all better now! Get ready for bed hyung" Tae Jin said, cutting him off his words.

"I don't think am the high school student here" He replied and Tae Jin burst out laughter.

"Very funny"

That...........Ahh! Tae Jin looked so cute when he laughed.

He really couldn't take it anymore!!

Hae Jin thought, his cheeks reddened as he looked away from Tae Jin.

"Hyung, you really look cute when you're blushing" Tae Jin said, surprising Hae Jin. 

He snapped his head at him, meeting a sweet smile on his face.

Tae Jin...... he'll really be the death of him!!

Time (Around 7pm)

This morning before going to school, Shin Hye invited Jay to their house for dinner.

And that's why he was here.

For dinner, and I can also say,.....for a little test.

On the dining table, Shin Hye sat beside Jay and Hyun Seo beside Jay.

Tae Jin sat beside Se Jong, facing Jay while Se Jong faced Shin Hye.

Hyun Seo, alone. Yes, no one sat opposite him.

Hae Jin and Chae Joon were in the living room, seated on the double couch while watching them.

"Let's eat" Shin Hye said, looking at Jay with a sweet smile in her face.

Shin Hye...... what was up with her? The four boys asked himself, staring at Shin Hye.

"Oh, cooked tonight?" Hyun Seo suddenly asked like he didn't know who did.

Today they came home early and knowing Jay will be having dinner with them, both Se Jong and Tae Jin decided to cook.

It would have been a mess if Shin Hye did and that's why they kicked her out the moment she entered the kitchen to help them.

Cooking just wasn't this girl's thing.

"Everything looks delicious" Jay said, and Se Jong replied, "And that's because we (He and Tae Jin) took over"

"Everything looks delicious? Then I'll serve you" Shin Hye said and began to serve Jay.

Okay, she was acting weird. What was up with her?

"Thank you" Jay said to her after she served him his plate, feeling awkward.

Why was she behaving like this?

Hold on.......it can't be.......Jay didn't get to complete his thoughts, Hyun Seo spoke, gaining his attention.

"Tae Jin, when are you going to get your stuffs?' Hyun Seo asked as he served himself, Tae Jin and Se Jong.

Shin Hye wasn't going to it. He could tell. After all she has already served herself and was having her meal.

That traitor!

"Yes, you had to use my spare uniform, my bag and even my books in class. Go get your stuffs already" Se Jong said and he rolled his eyes before saying, "What harm did that cause?"

"One more word from your stupid mouth and I'll smack it hard" Se Jong threatened, looking serious.

He'll really do it.

Should he be worried? Tae Jin asked himself.

Getting his plate, he (Tae Jin) began to eat and Hyun Seo and Se Jong joined in as well.

"By the way, the principal called me today" Hyun Seo said, surprising both Se Jong and Tae Jin.

Shin Hye wasn't paying attention. In fact, while eating, she kept staring at Tae Jin, lost in thought land, thinking about why she wasn't getting the reaction she desperately wanted while Jay stared at her.

Confused and angry.

"You?" Se Jong asked in shock.

"What did you do?" Tae Jin asked, feeling offended, Hyun Seo yelled out, "I did nothing!"

"Then I guess she really love idiots" Se Jong said.

"Why do I have a feeling you're insulting me?" Hyun Seo asked.

"So, what did she want?" Tae Jin asked and Hyun Seo answered.

"She wanted to know if I know any medium. A psychic medium she said" Hyun Seo said, surprising both Tae Jin and Se Jong. They shared a look and Hae Jin and Chae Joon did the same.

Why did the principal ask that?

"You know the rumors going around right?"

"What rumors?" Se Jong asked Hyun Seo. He and Tae Jin has never heard of the rumors.

In fact, they don't pay attention to those things.

"Something about our school being haunted" Hyun Seo answered and once again, they were surprised.

Their school was haunted?

"But Principal Yoon said is not true. She only want to get a psychic medium so they'll inspect the school and proof that is not true and that, they're just rumors"

Well,.........was it really true?

Could be the principal was lying right?

"Well,......they said someone died in our school. Two people. But, then again,...........I don't think is true" Hyun Seo said.

He (Tae Jin) believed this. It wasn't just rumors.

Someone...... someone really died in their school. Their school was really haunted.

There was no proof yet, but.....Tae Jin believed this.

Ghosts were real and he was seeing them.

Maybe he should pay more attention to the rumors and get to the bottom of this.

"So, Jay, do you live alone?" Hyun Seo asked him (Jay) gaining their (Jay, Se Jong, Tae Jin and Shin Hye) attentions.

"Since we moved here we never really pay attention to our surrounds" Hyun Seo said.

"I used to live with my auntie and her husband. But they moved out a year ago. They left and I stayed" Jay said and Se Jong asked,

"Your parents?"

"They live in the states. Busy with their work" Jay replied.

"So, we attend the same school. I've never seen you before" Hyun Seo said and Jay replied,

"I'm in the class next to yours"

"So, you used to live with them? Your parents" Tae Jin spoke and he (Jay) answered,

"I've been living with my grandmother since I was six. She died a year ago and I had to move in with my auntie and her husband. But then, they had to move out because her husband got a promotion. They moved to Incheon. I didn't want to go with them because I've fallen for my current school"

And that's because Shin Hye was there

 He didn't want to leave Shin Hye. And when he found out they were neighbors, his desire to stay got even more stronger.

He was this close to his crush. Why would he leave?

"And now you live alone. You should have come over if you knew us. Hold on, when did you two become friends?" Hyun Seo asked. 

"A year ago" Shin Hye answered, smiling.

Well,...... looks like a lot happened a year ago. Jay's grandmother died a year ago, he moved in a year ago, his auntie and her husband moved out a year ago and he became friends with Shin Hye a year ago.

A lot happened a year ago. Hyun Seo thought.

"Why didn't you tell us anything about this?" Se Jong asked Shin Hye.

"Well, everyone was busy with their own things. Tae Jin was going through something he didn't want to share and you guys were busy" she answered and Hyun Seo replied,

"I don't think I was that busy"

"Oh, Jay, your lips.......... The sauce, hold on, let me clean them" Shin Hye said, getting tissue from the table.

She cleaned Jay's lips, wiping the invisible sauce (On Jay's lips) that only she could see.

Making Jay angry and uncomfortable while Se Jong, Chae Joon, Hae Jin and Hyun Seo stared in shock.

"Shit is about to happen" Chae Joon said and he, Hae Jin, Se Jong and Hyun Seo looked at Tae Jin, waiting for his reaction.

His girlfriend just cleaned another man's lips in a loving! Caring way!

Tae Jin......Tae Jin will explode in anger.

"Is it that bad? Maybe I should have brought another pack of tissues" Tae Jin said, looking at the pack of tissues on table which had a few in it.

 Se Jong, Hae Jin, Chae Joon and Hyun Seo yelled out in shock,

"What?! That's it?! 

Jay was also surprised but he couldn't let out another word while Shin Hye........she has just reach her limit.

"What the fuck Tae Jin?!" She yelled out as she got up, glaring at Tae Jin who looked confused.

"I've been trying to get a reaction out of you!"

That was why she sat beside Jay, kept smiling sweetly at him, served him! Revealed that they've known each other for a long time but never said a word.

That's why she wiped his lips just now even though there was nothing on them!

But he.....he did not give her the reaction she wanted.

Was he (Tae Jin) that dumb or was he pretending?!

"What do you mean Shin Hye?" Tae Jin asked, looking confused.

Tae Jin wasn't that dumb right? Hae Jin, Chae Joon, Se Jong and Hyun Seo asked themselves.

Hyun Seo: Get it back!

"What do I mean? Are you an idiot Tae Jin?! I've been trying to get you jealous all this time!" Shin Hye yelled out the truth, looking so angry and she wasn't the only one.

Jay was angry as well.

He was right. Shin Hye was using him to get Tae Jin jealous.

He really hated this!

"What?!" Tae Jin asked, surprised. He knew now.

He knew where this was going and he (Tae Jin) wanted no part.

"I'm leaving" Tae Jin said, dropping his fork on the plate before getting up and taking his leave.

Hae Jin immediately got up and followed him. Worried about him (Tae Jin)

"Wow!, The dinner is ruin" Hyun Seo said.

Still angry, Jay got up, saying, "I should have never agreed to this. I'm sorry, I'll leave" he said the last words to Hyun Seo and Se Jong before turning to leave.

Realizing what she just caused, Shin Hye ran after Jay, screaming "No wait! Jay!" Feeling bad.

"Hold on, am I missing something here? Shouldn't she have gone after the boyfriend?" Hyun Seo asked surprised.

Getting up and heading for his room as well, Se Jong said, "There's nothing you know"

"What?" Hyun Seo asked, still confused.

What the heck was going on? What didn't he know? The idiot Hyun Seo asked himself but got no answer.

"Wait Jay!" Shin Hye yelled out and he stopped, right in front of the front door.

Turning to face the Shin Hye, he said, "Don't ever use me again!"

"Wait Jay, let me explain" she said but Jay didn't listen to her and proceed to leave the house.

Worried, sorry about what just happened, Shin Hye stood there, staring at the door.

What have she done?

Was her last thought.
