"Well.......I don't remember much about it but........I know he saved me. When I saw Chae Joon for the first time, I remembered him"

"You didn't tell me this"

"Yes, sorry. I was both relief and happy when I saw him........I was happy and glad...... relief because he was the one stalking us"

While he and his mother were on their way home from the cemetery.

"I recognized him as my savior. He was the one I was searching for. I was waiting to see again. I wanted to thank him for saying my life but I never met him again. Well, until a year later. He found me"

"Chae Joon saved you?"

How? And what happened?

"Yeah, like I said, I don't remember much about the accident but,........All I remember is,....... waking up in his arms. He was crying and........I don't know. I looked around and I saw the car,.......it clashed into the tree and.....I didn't see my parents. I only saw him"

It really was a miracle after all.

"I didn't know he was a ghost until I met him again and he told me. Chae Joon doesn't want to talk about the accident so I don't know much. I guess he feel guilty. He couldn't save my parents"

There was only one of him and there was three people to save. Guess, it was a hard decision for him.

"You know, everyone in the hospital, the people around told me I was lucky. They were shock, I suffered no injuries. They said it was a miracle"

"Yes, they're not lying. It really is a miracle. Your parents died, but you didn't. I don't know what happened or how Chae Joon saved you but it was definitely a miracle"

"Right"

Even he didn't know how Chae Joon saved him.

"I wonder, why didn't your parents visit you after their death? You gained the ability to see ghosts after the accident right?"

That meant, Se Jong would have been able to see his parents souls.

"Yes. Chae Joon said they crossed over after their souls left their bodies. Like I said, he doesn't like to talk about it so I don't know much"

"They didn't send you any message?"

They did.

"You'll be fine Se Jong, you're in good hands. Take care of yourself and make us proud, we'll be looking after you" this is the message they gave Chae Joon for me before they crossed over"

Good, but then....

"Why? Why didn't they stay in this world?"

"They wanted to cross over because they believed I was in good hands. They knew how they died, they had their memories, they had no unfinished business to settle.........They wanted to cross over"

"Are you okay with that?"

"I have no say in this Tae Jin, and it already happened. They made their decision and I respect that"

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Though I didn't exactly have it easy,  I still love my life after their death. I had you, our friends, your parents, and Chae Joon. And now, there's Hae Jin and Sung Yoon, Sung Hoon too. I'm fine, better" Se Jong said with a smile.

Tae Jin didn't know if he was telling the truth or not but, he has decided to be there for Se Jong.

Always.

"Okay, if you say so"

"You're step-brothers?" Hae Jin asked, still, he was a little surprised.

All along, he thought they were brothers by blood. Like they shared the same blood. But turns out, that wasn't so.

"Yes, we were and still are step-brothers"

"But.........he never used the 'step' when people asked us. He said, 'We're brothers'. On the day we first met, I thought he'll hate me. It was his mother's funeral but Jin....."

Jin? This.......This sounded familiar. Coming from Chae Joon, it sounded familiar, where has he heard it?

"Jin smiled,......he gave me a big smile and he introduced himself before saying, 'So we're brothers now. You're the older brother, please take care of me'. I.....I felt so damn guilty! I felt so bad. He just lost his mother, but it looked like....like his father didn't care. No one cared and he pretended to be okay. But the smile he gave me was so genuine, was so real that......I felt so miserable"

"He really was an angel" Hae Jin murmured. If it was him, he would have stormed off. He would have yelled at them all.

"I.....I couldn't bring myself to get close to him because of all the guilt I felt but he came close. He always came, asking we play. And every time, he had that genuine beautiful smile of his on his face, his cute face" Chae Joon said with a smile as he remembered his brother.

"He must have really been cute"

"He is. He is" he said, after a deep breath, Chae Joon continued.

"Hae Jin......I.......I didn't feel guilty just because my mom came into his father's life or should I say, we came into his father's life right after his mother's death,.....it was also because I knew what was going"

"What do you mean?'

"We have been in his father's life along. His........his father was cheating on his mother when she was alive. She found out and died from depressed"

"What?!"

Wow! That was.......... Wow! Hae Jin couldn't think of another word! This was a surprise and........

"Yes. Jin didn't know the reason why his mother died and this is why I felt so guilty. Do you understand?"

Wow!

"Heavens this......this......."

Wow!! Should he say? Hae Jin.......he can't find the words!

"And then........after some time, my mother started treating him bad. She would yell at him, beat him for no reason but Jin..........He..........He never, not even once, got angry with him. He would still play with me. Joke around with me. I tried to cheer him, always and he would always give me a bright smile, telling me it was working. He........he was going through hell! I didn't know what to do"

"Chae Joon............" Hae Jin called out to him, watching him as he cried, trying to clear the tears but they were still showing up.

Way to go tears!

He......he really felt sorry for him.

It wasn't his fault.

What should he (Hae Jin) say to calm him down?
