CHAPTER 24

Bruce’s words rushed through her thoughts Amelia went out of the pack house the world rapidly turning into a blur. A Hybrid. She was a Hybrid. Its thought hurt her and intrigued her since it was beyond her imagination and revolted against all that she once considered about herself.

She strolled up and down the pack grounds, not being cognizant of the frowns communicating the same message she saw on the faces of pack members. Her feet began to tap dance of their own volition, which transported her away from the pack house, warmth, safety, and Bruce and his disclosures.

After some time Amelia came to a halt; she realized that she was on the brink of the woodland with the cold night breeze blowing softly. Her world kept spinning as she leaned against the solid tree trunk; the roughness of the bark grounding her.

She blinked and said to herself, “This cannot be true”. “There is some mistake here”.
