The bedroom of the lovers featured large windows that allowed the setting sun to cast long shadows throughout the room.

Amelia stood rigidly beside the window, shivering from head to toe as she stared at the fading light outside.

From across the room, Bruce observed her with a worried expression on his face as he grimaced.

Amelia finally spoke up after a few minutes of quiet, telling Bruce, "I don't trust her." "With her abrupt behavior change, I can't help but suspect that Ema is planning something."

With a heavy sigh, Bruce combed his fingers over his thick, gel-filled hair.
