chapter 37I nibbled on the pancakes so generously gifted to me as I worked my ass out in the Alpha’s closet. He was a considerably neat person so why did this look like two toddlers with sugar rushed had played in here today? Was he purposely trying to burn me out? I wasn’t well acquainted with the arrangement of his closet but since I’d rather not have to ask him anything, I decided to deal with it myself. First, I folded all the trousers and put them on one stool, then all the casual shirts on another stool and…why does he even have so many stools. Chapter 38Alpha Jason snapped his fingers, “You’re right.” He said in sort of light bulb turning on moment even though I couldn’t think of what he could possibly be validating, “If I want to keep you busy, it shouldn’t be with such tasks. I can tell you’re intelligent. With the kind of life you had growing up, I’m sure you received the best education.”I raised a brow, “What does that have to do with anything? Chapter 39After the lunch I hat to take our plates back to the kitchen. The food was delicious and when my stubborness wore out, I allowed myself to enjoy it to the fullest. I just wish I would be able to boast of such cooking skills one day. Chapter 40We walked in a silence that soon bored me, but not Alpha Jason, it seemed because his forehead was wrinkled and his lips were in a tiny, nearly noticeable pout that I doubt he even knew he was making. He was thinking about something, something worrying. My gaze continued to follow him, tracing the outline of his face, the sharpness of his jaw and perfection in his cheekbones. Chapter 41AmberI woke up slowly, my senses waking before my body. I felt the soft sheets around me and hummed; it felt like I was sleeping on clouds. I moved around on the cloud, extending my arms as I stretched feeling my joints protest in pain that wasn’t usually there. Chapter 42When I woke up, I was feeling refreshed and much better than before. The headache had tamped down considerably and it no longer felt like I was in an igloo. Alpha Jason was not in the room and I decided that he had left to carry out his duties of the day. Chapter 43We ended up having rice with some amazing sauce whose recipe I would kill to have. For someone who had a nonexistent appetite, my appetite right in that moment was baffling to say the least and I told myself it was only because the food was good.
