Avery POV:-

My hands were cold as ice, my heart was bursting from my ribcage in dread. The fear of meeting Jeremy after all this time and Blaze that if he came to know about it, what he would do, sent terrifying shivers to my core.

“I hope everything went well.” I breathed out. “I hope Brother won’t kill me after knowing I helped you.” Ashley was even more scared than me. I put my hand over hers and gave it an assuring squeeze.

“You are also frightened.” Ashley said deadpanned. “I am afraid of Blaze’s wrath.” I exclaimed my worry.

“What if he found out… he won’t kill me but give me something worse than that.” I said, a chill stiff my bones to think about it.

“There’s no going back now.” Ashley said and I nodded.&nbs

I took a deep breath and told him what happened that day and everything. I broke into soft sobs when I told him. “I had no choice… I never thought he would get this far… I.. I .. thought he will leave me after we get married.. I never knew he made me sign marriage papers.. I was so scared at that time and didn’t think about anything… I am sorry… I am so sorry.” I wailed, hiding my face in my hands. “Avery…” he called me, rushing to my side. He bent and removed my hand from my face and held them tightly as he kissed them, “I am so sorry. I didn’t know he made you go through all this.” He apologized, holding my hands close, “Please don’t hate me. I am so alone, don’t leave me…” I hugged him, crying. He hugged my back and rubbed it, “I won’t… I am with you… Only if I knew what he made you go through… I am sorry for not being able to stand by your side.” Jeremy whispered, hugging me close. And when the call ended, I bursted, “Blaze didn’t know about us, did he? Is he coming here? Was he angry? What did you talk about?” “Calm down, Avery. Everything is fine… isn’t it, Ashley?” Jeremy said, taking me sit and handing me a glass of water. “Here, drink this and calm down…” I took it with my shaky hands and began to drink it. “I didn’t know you were so scared of him…” Jeremy mumbled. “I am terrified of him… I might show it to him but I am.” I breathed out, taking deep breaths to put my vexed self at serene. “Not show it?” He raised an eyebrow. “I don’t feel frightened in his presence.. mostly.” I responded truthfully. “It’s the effect of mate-pull to feel secure in the presence of your mate.” Ashley said, looking away. “It’s just an effect not the actual emotion of your heart.” Jeremy said. I nodded. “I know… I know…”

  • Guilty Passion   41- Senseless Talks

Blaze POV:- When I saw him holding Avery, my anger burst, not being able to watch some person touching her and moreover making her wince was too much for me to take- especially when the person is none other than her lover. I fucking hate the fact how it evoked such unwanted sensation of wrath and jealousy in me, my mind was at lull completely when I came, burying the bitter actuality where she went with the intent to meet him but thankfully he didn't listen to her and I came on time before she could win his trust but I managed to swallow it up… not anymore. I could sense Avery's fear emitting from her very soul, the deep terror of facing my rage was clear in her and it was hard for her to stay composed and not break but all her efforts were in vain as I could feel it in my every bone: the urge to teach her a lesson but I have to refrain myself.

I have to make a decision. Kill her No, Mate her. Killing her sounds better though. But, taking her life for being my mate is too much. Mating her sounds better. But, what about her unbearable presence? Ugh! Filled with extensive seething and no senses, I went home. My mind blank, nothing flashed in it and left me void as my step moved on their own to my room. I washed my face and looked at my reflection in the mirror. You are a monster. That's right, I am a monster, so let me show you what this cold-hea

"What do you know about me?!" I yelled at her. She shivered and shut her eyes as her breath hitched. "You know nothing…" I whispered, pulling away from her. She was losing her breath, countless skipped heartbeats of dread. The fear of facing my actions. I took off my shirt and unbuckled my belt. "No. No. No. No… Blaze.." She whispered in extreme consternation and appall. I smirked darkly and pulled her back. I grabbed her neck, she coughed, trying to remove her hand which restricted her breaths. I was choking her with the determination to kill her. I want to end this ordeal. "You are mine. All mine." I declared in a furious tone. A tear rolled down her cheek, she was losing her breath, trying to push me off from her. "I… should have killed you." I said, loosening my grip over her and moving down. She

"So you are a monster after all…" When Avery’s voice reached my ears, I stopped. This sentence is the last thing I want to hear from anyone. I was left with the inability to speak, feel, comprehend. An intense pain shot in my heart as it broke me from inside mercilessly. My breath stopped as tears brimmed in my eyes. Either drunk or not, intentional or unintentional, I could never force anyone. I shouldn’t have. How depraved have I become? “What happened huh? Do it. I am not stopping you.” She said emotionless. The tears from my eyes fell directly on her cheeks as she narrowed her eyes at me, not understanding what made me cry. “Do it, Blaze.” She whispered, angrily. Without any control, my tears began to fall as I removed my hands from hers hesitantly and moved from the bed, sitting on the ground. She sat up and grabbed my shirt and began to wear it, “Why did you stop at the last moment? My tears, my pleads didn’t affect you so what awoke your dignity?” She jeered. I hugged my kne

Avery POV:- “What’s with your change?” I asked him in a cold tone. Not being able to grasp the sudden change of air from senseless lust, need and force to unbearable remorse, pain and heartache. What made him come to his senses and stop from making an irredeemable mistake at the very end? When he was one bite away to claim me as his, what remorse faltered his actions and shred effectless tears of agony? And deep down, I knew he’d stop. “I SAID GO!” He yelled, breaking into inaudible sobs but I could still feel the despondency emitting from him which made a needle prick in my heart. His vast ocean of torment can’t redeem his actions, irrespective of anticipation I could feel the same heartbreak as his for some obvious reasons. With a glare, I stood up and without sa
