Part One Hundred and Ten

We had spent hours in Malachi’s study discussing what possible due cause they could have. Neither of them were involved with the pack, neither of them had suffered any losses like we had. Christian had more due cause than they had. We couldn’t come up with a plausible answer to how they would swing this in their favor and we gave up after a few hours.

The knock on our door came at six p.m., just as we finished dinner. Malachi had been quiet and distant. I opened the front door and a smiling Alexander stood there with a large envelope in his hands. My instant dislike for him rose and I didn’t care that he was my brother anymore. I cared that he thought he could oust my father.

“Kiran.” Alexander nodded and stepped past me inside the house.

“Puppet.” He smirked at me as I barely glanced at him. I wouldn’t show him an ounce of respect and I knew that if Franklin had been here instead of Alexander, I would’ve hurt him.

“I thought it best to deliver our claim to you personally.” Alexander
