Third person's p.o.v

Linda lay down on the fresh green grass near the lake Lucas had shown her the other day. She needed some time alone for herself. Her presence counted for more than an hour. It would be a little quirky to say but she felt a connection with the place even when she first came here. Her mind continuously denied it but her heart did not. The peace of mind that she got was unbelievable.

She decided to let her life go with the flow and accept all the positive things that were incoming.

She was admiring the infinite sky when her mind sent her a signal to become alert as she heard fallen leaves being crunched as if people were walking on them. She stood up and hid behind one of the big trees and waited for the person to walk in. However, instead of one, she felt like there were more.

She removed her shoes and tip-toed secretly to see what it was. She was surprised though. Lucas had told her that it was a secret passage. No one except her and him could experience the bea

She was going to settle for a new life and without their blessings, it would not be possible. Plus, as bizarre as it might be, she felt tranquillity in that space more than in the house. Daniel's mind was still processing her words so he did not disturb her after getting home. He went through a check-up in a clinic after the incident and shut himself in his room. She was hurting as well. After all, she still loved him but one-sided love would never be enough for a marriage. I loved Lilith but she was not living as per my according. I was not hitting her for pleasure, I was just giving her a correction and how I would sleep with her if she was going to be a mother. I did that because I cared for her. You remember the lake view, it was her favourite place.”“Watching you there made my heart rest. It feels like I was watching her. Linda’s p.o.v ‘Our journey of love was full of ups and downs, it will be in the future as well. No marriage is perfect, but I will nevertheless make an effort to appear flawless in your eyes and you will not walk through it alone. If I make mistakes along the way, please remind me, correct me, and love me till I come to my senses. You are the only one who can guide me home. Today, I am asking you to be my date forever. For I will always choose you.’ The tears that I had been holding while reading the letter were finally out on that part. I did not know when Daniel fell so hard for me that I would actually question my love for him. Did his love beat my love for him? Whatever it was, the feeling of receiving a letter from the groom while waiting to be manifested at the altar was one of the best moments on the wedding day. I finally found my heaven on Earth and I needed nothing else. Our love won. It was bliss. I acquired so much during the few days and he was always there for me.

  • Forsaken By Her Husband   Chapter 1

Linda’s p.o.v Walking down the aisle is the most monumental and most meaningful walk of your life. To be honest, I felt proud of myself and completely loved while taking each and every step towards the altar. Next to me was the man who held my hands for a short while but held my heart forever. The man who knew what I needed before I asked him. That man who did not tell me how to live instead he lived and let me watch him do it. He protected me, became my shield and took great care of me. He gave me so much love that he did not let me feel the absence of my mother. Oh! How much I miss her today. Like any other mother, she would have cupped my face and told me how beautiful I was looking on this important day if she was here. I could already feel the tears in my eyes. Thanks to the veil that covered my face, no one noticed. I moved my eyes towards the guests who were beaming at me. I smiled at them wholeheartedly even when they could barely see my face. Everything seemed to go

Linda's p.o.vSitting on the silk and soft bed, I started thinking about today. The day was quite exhausting. The reception was dull and boring except for the father and daughter's dance. I enjoyed dancing with my first hero. He cracked some jokes and made me laugh. On the other hand Daniel avoided me. He never at once looked up at me whereas I watched his every move. He was so attractive and dashing that I could not take my eyes off of him. I could not deny the fact that I married the man I loved, and I was tremendously happy."Get off my bed you ugly gold duckling." His voice took me unawares. Did I mishear him? I got off the bed and looked at him. He was a red flag to a bull. I took a step forward but to my surprise he stepped back and glared at me as if I was a piece of shit who was making him nauseated. He was having difficulty handling his body. He was drunk. On the night of our wedding. My heart suddenly felt heavy. "Because of you I lost the one I love, you gold-planner. I

Linda's p.o.vI half wondered if I was still dreaming. Sometimes dreams are better than realities. Slowly and hesitantly, I uncovered my face from the quilt. I blinked and blinked again until my eyes was comfortable enough to endure the bright light. I sat up to take in the rays of the light that burst through the glass of the window but instead I saw a figure sitting in front of me. His eyes were fixed on me. This time they were showing some kind of emotions, but were soon vanished. His eyes darkened and his face hardened into an expression of hatred. Once more, I was the enemy."Why didn't you stop me?" He asked andI furrowed my eyebrows in confusion."Why the hell didn't you stop me from sleeping withyou?" He ran his hand through his hair, frustration in every line of his body. How firmly he said thosewords.I tried to avoid his gaze."Answer me you duckling." Daniel almost shouted which made me shake like a leaf."I- you- we did not sleep together." Shakingly, I almost stammered

Linda's p.o.vWaking up can really be a torture sometimes. Especially when dreams are better than reality. But unfortunately, even the memory of the dreams fades away with time. In fact, nothing lasts. Everything in this world is temporary. Only true love lasts, which was not in my destiny.Three and half months had already passed and as he promised he did make my life a living hell within those months. Nothing had changed. Although he was not abusing me physically but somehow, his actions were emotionally affecting me. I did not even have any friend or relative with whom I could share my problems. I missed my childhood friend. Father's health had also deteriorated. Last time, I checked he was in the hospital. I could not tell him anything. I had no other choice but to bear all the sorrows alone.'Should I thank Daniel for making my life miserable or should I curse at myself for getting in this situation?'It has been three and a half months since I signed that contract. The contract

Daniel’s p.o.vEver since Linda showed up in my life, it became a living hell. I felt disgusted with myself for being married to her. I was betraying the one I truly loved. I should be marrying Rose instead of this ugly duckling. I didn't know why my dad did not choose Rose as my bride but her. The crying face of Rose when she discovered that I was getting married to another woman, was stuck in my mind. My father left me with no choice other than to tie the knot with this girl. If I disagreed, he would have transferred all the property to my younger brother's name. To be on the safe side, I asked Linda to say no for this wedding but to my disappointment, she did not and now she was in my house in the name of my wife. She merely destroyed my life and that would cost her a lot. During the wedding when I glared at her, her eyes were shining enthusiastically with an inner light and her smile only multiplied the softness of her gentle nature through every curve of her cheek. For a second

Third person’s p.o.vLinda woke up early in the morning and the memories of the day before flashed in her mind. It was a beautiful dream that would come once in a while. Daniel apologised to her for not buying her a cake but she reassured him that she did not want that either. Her day was made special by her special person. What made it even more exceptional was the time at the beach. After they had their dessert, they heard a boy singing and playing guitar for his girlfriend. Linda found it cute and complimented their pair as well as the boy’s idea to impress his girl. Nevertheless, she did not know what took over Daniel. He approached them and exchanged his car for the guitar for one hour. Thereafter, he asked Linda her favourite song and he played the guitar while singing to her. Linda felt blessed. She did not miss her father to such an extent that would damage her emotionally. She did not get the opportunity. Unwillingly, Daniel increased the love and respect she had for him

While it was Linda who was supposed to be in that character, Daniel was playing that role. He gripped Linda’s hand and sometimes would hide his face behind her which would cause Linda to get annoyed. Yet, as a supportive friend, she would let him do that. After all, he had surrendered himself to her for that day. “You were such a baby.”Linda teased him while walking to the parking lot and Daniel was following her. He was still getting goosebumps. “You don’t need to remind me.”“Baby Daniel.”“Stop.” “Crying baby Daniel.”“What did you say?”At a pace, Daniel galloped in from behind her and came close to her threatening to say that again. Her favourite pancakes and the petals of lilies were scattered on a small table next to her bed, which elated her. Just when she was about to devour the pancakes, her eyes snapped to the person entering her room. "Good morning." "Good morning, Daniel and it's bad manners to enter someone's room before asking for permission." Linda taunted him and he rolled his eyes. "Thank you for these by the way. They are totally delicious. You have improved a lot." Linda's thankfulness threw off Daniel and he stared at her blankly. "I would love to receive your gratitude but it's not me who prepared this." Daniel took a bite and let out the word yum. On the other hand, disappointment washed over Linda. She thought Daniel cooked her a special cake for her birthday. However, with that feeling, confusion tagged along. If it was not Daniel's doing then who. "My apologies for interr

Third person's p.o.vLucas and Daniel were making their way to the girls when Lucas witnessed a hand on the surface of the pool. He analysed the place and a haze of fear surrounded him when he did not notice Linda's presence. He threw the drinks, not caring where or on whom it would end. Taking out his coat, he ran towards the pool and jumped in the water. Panic engulfed Daniel when Lucas performed those actions. He did what he needed to do and moved to the pool quickly. Terror seized him as Lucas brought the person out of the water. A half-unconscious Linda was in his arms. Blood drained from his face and he stood rooted to the ground."Lend me a hand." Only when Lucas shouted for help, he came to his senses. He pulled Linda out and held her in his arms. She was shaking from head to toe. Daniel removed his suit and covered her while Lucas got out of the pool and suggested making Linda sit on the couch above if she was comfortable and okay. Daniel sat along with Linda and provide
