Chapter 22

The people from whose eyes she used to hide herself today had respect for Sarah in the eyes of the same people, and seeing this, Sarah's heart was melting, but still she was restraining herself.

Because every time she considers forgiving Nicholas, she recalls her father's lifeless body, and hatred consumes her once more, she will never forgive Nicholas and her father.

Sarah is continually taunting his parents about something. She never shows them respect. Nicholas feels awful, but he does not want to ruin things again.

Nicholas goes home one evening and discovers that his wife is not in his room. He looks all around for his wife. His parents had also gone on a trip, leaving Sarah alone at home. He becomes nervous. He has to search the entire house for his wife.

When he approached the swimming pool, he noticed that his wife had half her leg dipped in the water and was sitting quietly.

She looked up at the sky; frigid winds were blowing, and they were brushing her hair.
