Chapter 26

It was evening. Sarah walks out of the restaurant. Today there was a birthday party in the restaurant, so she was late leaving. It was gloomy, and there were dark clouds everywhere in the sky.

It was about to rain. She was waiting for a taxi, but her luck today was so awful that she didn't even get one. This had never happened to her previously because Nicholas was always around to help her. Nicholas was injured and unable to be present; therefore, she is now on her own to deal with this.

The mild rain had begun. She needed to get home as soon as possible before the heavy rain fell. She hadn't even brought an umbrella. Suddenly, a car stops in front of her. She recognized the car, which belonged to Nicholas's father.

Nicholas's parents were the type of parents who would do anything for their children, even if it meant enduring insults. Nicholas's mother is often trying to engage in small talk with Sarah. She always attempts to gain Sarah's heart, but Sarah continually ignores her, par
