"How dare you, you slut!"
The clamor of chips hitting the floor echoed through the dimly lit casino, drowned by the furious curses of an angry guest criticizing the trembling Kinsey. Glass shattered, scattering a glittering mess across the floor, now a place of chaos.
Kinsey felt the weight of countless eyes upon her as the slap mark burned painfully on her cheek. She felt the rusty taste of blood rise in her mouth.
It was obvious Mr. Smith was annoyed badly but Kinsey had no regrets. She did nothing wrong. She just tried to protect herself when he was trying to reach her thighs with his intrusive hands.
Being forced to work in this casino was bad enough; she didn't want herself to fall deeper into hell. If her poor nephew Connor wasn't still lying in a hospital bed waiting for her paycheck to save his life, Kinsey would be sure to throw her apron in the face of this old fat pig and then slap him back even harder.
Yet she had to control herself hard not to fight back. Connor was still in the hands of her stepmom. If she dared to lose the job, her stepmother would flay her alive and watch Connor die.
"My apologies, Mr. Smith." Kinsey clenched her fists, doing her best to sound polite. "I'll have others get you another drink."
"How dare you try to escape after ruining my expensive suit!" William Smith thundered. "I've got to teach you a lesson!" He added, gritting his teeth angrily and striking her face with another resounding slap.
A gasp of shock swept through the onlookers, and the manager, Harold Grunt, drawn by the commotion, stormed over.
"Bitch, it's you again?" Harold grumbled, gritting his teeth in anger. His fingers latched onto Kinsey's messy hair, yanking her to her feet. "What have you done wrong again this time? Are you determined to ruin my business?"
Tears streamed down Kinsey's face, a silent protest against the injustice of it all. "No, Mr. Grunt. I didn't..."
Before Kinsey could finish her words, Grunt held her hair even tighter, making her cry in pain. "You still have the nerve to reason? Quickly take our honored guest to the VIP area to change. Or I'll fire you right now!"
"No, please don't, Mr. Grunt.," Kinsey pleaded. "I...I need this job."
Connor's leukemia was the anchor tying her to this dangerous underworld. Her poor nephew was the only blood of her late sister Alexa, her only family left in this world. She couldn't lose Connor.
"Then why don't you move! Are you deaf?" Harold Grunt furiously shouted to her ear. Kinsey nodded as she swallowed a lump in her throat.
"Please follow me, Mr. Smith," Kinsey stuttered. "Allow me to take you to the VIP room."
"Good," Mr. Smith nodded with satisfaction and passed Harold a hint as Kinsey turned to lead the way.
William Smith had always been a big casino client, and Harold knew precisely what this big client liked. Mr. Smith was a sexual sadist who enjoyed torturing women in bed with different kinds of tools. He had his eyes on Kinsey the first time he saw her, but it seemed the woman had avoided him like a virus. He'd make her pay for the rejections she did in the past.
He looked at Kinsey's legs lustfully. Although Kinsey is petite and a bit skinny, she is blessed with beauty that men can't take their eyes off at first glance. Tonight, she'll be his bed slave. No one would come to disturb them, no matter how loud she screamed.
"Mr. Smith, we're here. I'll wait for you outside while you change your suit," Kinsey said, dragging him out of his wild fantasies.
"Do you think you're in charge here?" Mr. Smith snapped. "You were the one who ruined my expensive suit, so you'll be the one to change it for me," he ordered.
Kinsey's eyes widened, thinking about how she would escape from this dangerous situation. She had a bad feeling about what he would do to her.
"Mr. Smith..." Before Kinsey could protest, Mr. Smith dragged her into the VIP room. The room smelled strange; she covered her nose, but it was too late. She knew this incense, which was specially made for aphrodisiacs.
Mr. Smith smirked wickedly as he approached, "Tonight is the night; you'll be mine."
With Kinsey's remaining strength, she tried to pry Mr. Smith's hands from her. But he was so fat and bulky that Kinsey found it hard to escape against him.
Mr. Smith enjoyed her unhelpful struggles, drooling as he started to tear her uniform. The uniform of the waitress here was supposed to be very revealing, but Kinsey secretly added some material herself. Mr. Smith had long hated her conservatism! How did she think she could keep her innocence after selling herself to such a place?
"Just wait for what I have in store for you," he laughed wickedly as he was about to pick one of his torturing tools. Taking the moment he left her a bit, Kinsey quickly grabbed the wine bottle on the table and smashed it onto Mr. Smith's head. The sound echoed in the room, and Mr. Smith groaned in pain.
"You bitch," he grumbled. "You won't get away from this!"'
With this chance that he was unable to gain his posture to get up, Kinsey hurriedly ran out of the room. Her heart was still pounding wildly in fear. She just injured the VIP of the casino, Harold would definitely not let her off easily. She had to run away from here as soon as possible.
Inside the dimly lit corridor, Kinsey as she stumbled, disoriented and desperate. The fire of desire burned in her dry throat, a cruel reminder of the aphrodisiac working inside her.
"She's there! Get her!"
Kinsey panicked as the hired thugs of the casino sounded behind her. NO! She couldn't let them get her! They would tie her under that old pervert, or even worse, she would become a plaything of all Harold's men.
She twisted the first door she could find in her desperation, and luckily, it was unlocked. Breathing heavily, she leaned against the wall, trying to shake off the fear.
"Miss, I didn't order room service," a man said with a hint of humor. He appeared from the comfort room, wearing only a towel in his midsection. His broad shoulders and well-defined physique hinted at strength and confidence, accentuating the allure that surrounded him.
"I..." she wanted to explain but seeing the droplet of water snaking down his magnificent body, she only felt her mouth more dry. Kinsey looked away from him and pleaded, "Just please let me stay a while, I'll leave after..."
Her words were more like murmur and as she tried to work against the nameless fire inside her, her body heaved intensely in the torn dress, making the air more tempting.
"Are you...?" The moment the man tried to touch and check her condition, a moan of relief came from her throat. Oh, Kinsey felt his touch was the only panacea she wanted at the moment.
She lustfully looked at the man before her. A tall figure with an imposing presence. His jawline chiseled and eyes piercing, made it impossible for her not to be captivated. And he even smelled surprisingly good, making her unable to resist moving closer to him.
"Please...Own me," she said in almost a whisper. If she had been in a sober state, Kinsey would have been surprised at how she could have said such a licentious thing.
"Excuse me?" The stranger frowned at the beautiful woman who was voluntarily offering herself to him.
"I want you now," Kinsey said, her face a few inches close to him. "Shut up and kiss me!" And then, she hungrily owns the man's lips without permission.
The stranger was taken aback by her bold action, but he immediately gained her senses and kissed her. He was fiercer than her, hungrier, letting her know who was in control, but she did cope with his pace.
"Remember you asked for it, little bird." His voice turned deep and husky between their hot kisses. With a hard tug, her already-tattered dress fell to the floor, showing her gorgeous body. She might be a bit petite and skinny but still had perfect curves. Before his hand traced down to her hip, she boldly jumped onto his waist and clipped her legs behind him, making him smirk winden.
Their kisses couldn't be stopped. When he carried her to the bed, they were both naked. Kinsey's senses were overwhelmed by the mysterious man's smell. She closed her eyes, feeling the pain as the man began thrusting inside her before it was replaced with ecstasy. His every push inside her was so pleasant that drawing them into a long irresistible night.
The following day Kinsey woke up, there was herself alone in the luxurious suite. Her body was cleaned but a blood stain on the sheet reminded her what happened last night was not a dream. She lost her virginity to a stranger. A stranger, but not her boyfriend whom she had promised to keep this for after their marriage.
"Oh no, how should I explain all this to Gordon?" Kinsey felt a headache and suddenly, the harsh ring of the phone pierced the room's silence.
"Get your ass back now, Kinsey!" Olive, her stepmother's angry voice echoed through the phone. "Or I'll let you watch Conner die."
"Shameless bitch, you're a traitor to our family. You whore!"All Kinsey heard as she arrived home was the evil hiss of her stepmother, whose eyes were cold and accusatory, fixated on the marks of Kinsey's body.Last night, she accidentally slept with an unknown man. Kinsey shook her head to defend herself, "I was drugged. I didn't do it intentionally.""Not intentionally?" Her stepmother Olive huffed. "Do you know how much trouble you've gotten us into?"Kinsey tearfully shook her head in denial when her stepmother waved the whip in her hand. She knew how much it would hurt. Every time Olive felt Kinsey annoyed her badly, she would whip her, leaving scars that took months for her to disappear."Not only did you have the guts to ruin Mr. Smith's clothes, but you dared to hit him?" Olive scolded her. "You have to work all your ass life to afford the money he asked for!""But he was planning to rape me!" Kinsey couldn't help but cry out."Then just let him fck," Olive taunted without co
On the big day of the wedding, the church was decorated fancy and surprising. Fresh flowers smelled lovely, fancy silks on the seats, and classical music softly played by a world-class orchestra.Candles made the place warm and golden, creating a special feeling for the ceremony. Everything was made perfect without leaving any details of mistakes."Mom, didn't you tell me Brandon was half-exiled from the Simons?" Blair complained, unsatisfied that they had spent so much for an infamous sonOlive heaved a breath, "The Simons are a grand family who wouldn't like to lose their reputation even if this is only the wedding of an unwanted son." She patted the arm of her anxious daughter, "Wait and see, it won't be an easy time for that little slut to have such an asshole of a husband."Meanwhile, Kinsey stood in the dressing room, a mixture of disbelief and awe reflected in her eyes as she gazed at the extravagant wedding dress. It starkly contrasted with the other modest one, which her fami
The scenes of what happened in the casino kept flashing in her mind. Kinsey's hands quivered out of nervousness and Brandon had cupped her chin before she knew it."Stay focused, little bride. Every guest is watching." He murmured to remind her calmly, making her unable to read the emotions under his eyes.Did he recognize her?Kinsey couldn't help but wonder, but his lips pressed on hers, and she voluntarily reacted. It wasn't their first kiss, but this time, Kinsey felt like kissing a wall, unlike that night he devoured her passionately. He didn't recognize her, did he? Kinsey was inexplicably a little lost. But wasn't it better for her? The Simons family wouldn't have approved of the marriage if they'd known she'd been a waitress at the casino. Connor's medical bills would have been canceled as well.A loud clapping took Kinsey out of her reverie. Brandon politely held her hand, facing the guests. She hadn't seen him smile since the beginning of the ceremony.Looking at the perfect
Kinsey felt her knees weak as his breath sprayed on her neck. The details of that crazy night sneaked into her head again. Her face blushed almost dripping blood as she remembered how shamelessly she wrapped him with her legs begging him to take her again and again."You did impress me, Kinsey," Brandon smirked. "It's hard to believe that was your first time."The teasing in his tone was like a tub of cold water pouring down, dousing all her desires. Kinsey finally found her voice back, "I was drugged."“You should have expected that when you agreed to work in a place like that.” Brandon continued, "If I didn't happen to be your husband, have you ever thought about what would happen?""Or, you're intended to hide it from the beginning."Kinsey couldn't help but cringe as she sensed the coldness in his voice. "I didn't mean it."“You'd better be.” Brandon sat back in his seat, "Did you take the pill after that?"Kinsey was shocked, slight panic etched on her face. What? What did he mea
Kinsey finally made Brandon's old house more livable within a few days, but Brandon had yet to come home since their wedding. If this was a marriage of love, they were supposed to have a honeymoon in their favorite place, like a beach resort, or fly to an expensive private island in a tropical country, but it's not.She felt relieved but a little bitter. Her last few nights, she hadn't slept well because living here alone was so deserted, and she had to worry about security at night. But all this was nothing compared to the suffering days under her stepmother and stepsister.Kinsey reached for her phone but realized she needed Brandon's contact number. She chuckled bitterly, disappointed that she didn't even have her husband's phone number."I need to visit Connor," she murmured before heading to the kitchen.Kinsey prepared some food to visit Connor to help enlighten her nephew's mood. It's the least she could do while he was in treatment. The sharp white walls and antiseptic scent r
Kinsey felt anger in her veins. She tried to grab Blair's dress away as she yelled, "I worked hard only to save Connor's life, not to pay for your luxurious dream!""Don't touch my precious dress with your dirty hands!" Blair argued as she tried to avoid, "You should ask your loser husband for help if you need money for Connor's medical treatment! Aren't you the best at seducing men?"Kinsey's anger reached a boiling point and couldn't help but slap Blair."How dare you harm my sweet daughter! You ungrateful bitch!" Olive tried to grab Kinsey's hair to fight back."ENOUGH!"A roar sounded at the door, making the women in chaos stop. It was Jonathan, the host of the house.Blair hurriedly covered her face and ran to Jonathan to complain about Kinsey, "Dad, Kinsey is jealous that I'm going to marry Gordon. She's trying to ruin my dress and even threatens to seduce my fiancé."Kinsey couldn't believe how shameless Blair could upside the truth. She wanted to explain but Jonathan didn't gi
A wave of panic washed over her when Kinsey heard his unexpected proposition about having a baby. She tried to pull away, but Brandon, with a stronghold, locked her in his arms."Brandon, this joke is not funny.""I'm not joking," he whispered in her ears. "We're already very familiar with each other's bodies. It should be easy for us to get a baby."His words took her back to the night at the casino. Though she was drugged, she knew they indeed had chemistry. She didn't feel violated. Having sex with him was a beautiful experience, but having a baby was totally different.Kinsey could never forget that night she lost Alexa. It was a stormy night, she knelt outside the gate of the Gates Family for a long time begging them to save Alexa. However, when she finally managed to get the money and hurried to the hospital, Alexa still ended up dying in childbirth, leaving her only the baby Connor."It isn't that easy, Brandon!" With all her strength, Kinsey pushed him away, causing him to fre
Hearing Brandon showering in the bathroom, Kinsey found it was hard to calm herself down. She thought it was only a contracted marriage with no intimate interaction when it was not necessary. She already accepted it when he didn't come back home for days. But what did he mean when he suddenly chose to stay home tonight? There was no extra bedroom in this house and Brandon didn't seem to have any intention of sleeping on the couch either. Was he waiting for her to sleep on the couch first? Many thoughts flashed through her mind but the moment she heard the door of the bathroom about to open, she covered herself with the sheet, pretending she was already asleep.Brandon stepped into the room and couldn't help but be entertained by Kinsey's faking sleep. He deliberately chose to lie down beside Kinsey and chuckled louder inwardly as he sensed how stiff the one beside him was.In a gentle motion, he drew her into his protective embrace. Kinsey couldn't pretend she was asleep anymore. She
Brandon and Kinsey slowly cut into the cake, and as the slice was pulled away, a collective gasp filled the room. The inside of the cake was a brilliant blue."It's a boy!" shouted Taylor, throwing her hands up in celebration. Those who had bet on a boy cheered, while those who had hoped for a girl joined in the joyous laughter. Cooper lifted Connor into the air, both of them laughing with excitement. "I have a playmate," Connor shouted.Brandon laughed and then turned to Kinsey, his eyes misty with emotion. "We’re having a son."Kinsey's smile was radiant. "Yes, we are. I can’t wait to meet him."Amelia clapped her hands, beaming with joy. "Congratulations! A little boy is going to bring so much happiness into your lives."Chelsea hugged Kinsey tightly. "I'm so happy for you both. This baby is going to be so loved."Grandpa Benjamin's eyes twinkled as he motioned for everyone to gather around. "I have a special gift for Brandon and Kinsey," he began, his voice warm with affection. "I
"If you ever look at her like that again, I will make your lives here like hell. Don't test me," Brandon said as he stepped forward, his voice low and menacing.Thomas and Johnny exchanged a wary glance, the threat in Brandon's tone cutting through their bravado. They knew all too well the reach of Brandon’s power, even within prison walls."Alright, alright," Johnny said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "No need to get all worked up. What do you want, Brandon?"Brandon took a deep breath, trying to control the anger boiling inside him. "I want to know why. Why did you kill my parents?"Thomas's face twisted with bitterness. "Elliot was always the golden child, wasn’t he? Dad’s favorite, the one trusted with everything. And what were we? The leftovers. We had to scrape by while he got it all handed to him."Johnny nodded, his expression mirroring Thomas’s resentment. "We hated him. We hated how he looked down on us, how he had everything we wanted. But we never meant to kill your
In the morning, Brandon gently caressed Kinsey’s scars, his fingers tracing the faint lines left by Blair’s brutal whipping. His jaw tightened as he thought about the pain his wife must have endured. His heart ached, a mix of anger and sorrow. He would make sure Blair paid for what she had done."Good morning, beautiful," Brandon whispered as he noticed Kinsey slowly flickering her eyelids open.Kinsey smiled, her cheeks flushing pink at the memory of the passionate night they had shared. They had both been insatiable, rediscovering each other most intimately. "Good morning," she replied softly, her voice filled with contentment.Brandon’s eyes softened as he looked at her. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his tone gentle."Better," Kinsey said, her smile widening. "Especially after last night."Brandon chuckled, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "I’m glad to hear that. What do you want for breakfast? I can have anything you like brought up."Kinsey’s face turned serious as she propp
For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Brandon's eyes widened in surprise, then filled with a joy so intense it took his breath away. "A baby?" he repeated, his voice choking with emotion.Kinsey nodded, tears of happiness welling up in her eyes. "Yes, Brandon. We're going to have a baby."A broad smile spread across Brandon's face, and he let out a joyful laugh, lifting Kinsey off her feet and spinning her around gently. "We're having a baby!" he exclaimed, his voice ringing with excitement. He set her down carefully, cupping her face in his hands and kissing her deeply.Kinsey melted into the kiss, feeling the warmth of his love and the reassurance of his touch. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "I was so nervous to tell you. I thought you wouldn't like to have a baby yet," she admitted, her voice soft against his lips.Brandon pulled back just enough to look into her eyes. "Nervous? Kinsey, this is the best news I've ever heard. You've made me the happies
The soft murmur of conversations and the clinking of champagne glasses filled the elegant ballroom where Taylor and Daniel’s wedding was in full swing. Brandon couldn’t take his eyes off his wife, Kinsey. She looked stunning in the custom gown he had arranged, a delicate creation that seemed to shimmer under the soft lights. Brandon himself was dressed in a tailored suit that complemented her dress perfectly, a symbol of their unity and love.As they stood together, Kinsey glanced up at him, feeling his gaze. "You look absolutely beautiful," Brandon murmured, his voice filled with admiration and love. "I can't believe how lucky I am to have you by my side."Kinsey blushed, a warm flush spreading across her cheeks. "Thank you, Brandon. You look incredibly handsome too. This suit... it’s perfect."Brandon smiled, his eyes twinkling with affection. "I wanted us to look our best tonight. It’s a special day for Taylor and Daniel, and I wanted to make sure we could celebrate it fully, as a
As Brandon and Kinsey stepped through the door of the Simons' Mansion, the last person they expected to see was Cooper. The man stood in the foyer, his posture tense but his eyes determined."Cooper?" Kinsey's voice trembled with shock. "What are you doing here?"Brandon’s initial reaction was fury. "What the hell are you doing in my house without any prior notice?" His voice was hard, filled with protective anger.Cooper raised his hands in a gesture of peace. "Please, Brandon, Kinsey. I know this is unexpected, but I need to talk to both of you. It's important."Brandon crossed his arms, his jaw tight. "You've got five minutes. Make it quick."Cooper took a deep breath, his eyes meeting Kinsey’s. "I'm here to tell you the truth about Connor. He’s my son, Kinsey. Alexa and I... we were together."The words hung in the air like a bombshell. Kinsey’s knees buckled, and she stumbled back, leaning against the wall for support but Brandon was quick to help her. "What? Connor... your son?"
Olive paced back and forth in the living room, her eyes blazing with fury as she glared at her husband, Jonathan, who sat calmly on the couch. The tension in the room was palpable, a storm of emotions ready to burst.“How could you, Jonathan?” Olive’s voice was sharp, almost a hiss. “How could you not let me talk to Brandon when you met him? Do you even care about Blair? She’s our daughter, and she’s been rotting in jail with no bail for days now!”Jonathan sighed heavily, running a hand through his thinning hair. He looked exhausted, a man burdened with too many troubles. “Olive, it’s not that simple. Blair has committed serious crimes. Kidnapping, detaining, whipping, and attempting to murder Kinsey… She’s lucky she’s even alive.”Olive’s eyes filled with tears of frustration and anger. “I know she’s done wrong, but she’s our child! I can’t just sit here and do nothing. We need to beg Brandon to drop the charges. It’s the only way to get her out.”Jonathan shook his head, his expres
Kinsey lay awake, Brandon's words echoing in her mind. "Jealous" Was she jealous? She couldn't deny the pangs of hurt and anger that had surfaced when she saw Chelsea with Brandon, and the thought pissed her off.Another thing that's bothering her is Taylor's wedding. She had promised Taylor and Daniel that she would bring Brandon to their wedding, but her pride kept her from asking him. Her mind churned with conflicting emotions, preventing her from finding peace.Morning came too soon, and with it, a heavy sense of unresolved tension. Kinsey dragged herself out of bed, her eyes heavy from lack of sleep. Determined to resolve things, she decided to talk to Brandon about the wedding. She steeled herself and walked to their room, only to find it empty. Her heart sank a little. "Where could he be this early in the morning?" she muttered. As she headed to the dining room for breakfast with Connor, she felt a mixture of disappointment and anxiety. Sitting across from Connor, who was cheer
Kinsey stood among her colleagues, her emotions a turbulent mix of anger, hurt, and embarrassment. As Brandon introduced himself with his usual charm and confidence, her mind replayed the memory of Chelsea in the elevator, each repetition stoking her resentment.Brandon tried to catch her eye, his smile warm and inviting, but she turned away, her face a mask of indifference. Internally, she was seething. The memory of Chelsea's face haunted her. "I’m visiting a friend on the top floor," Chelsea had said, the implication clear. Kinsey had been so naive, so stupid to trust Brandon, to confess her feelings to him. She felt a deep sense of betrayal and embarrassment.Kinsey felt insecure in every way possible. Chelsea is more fitting for Brandon. They match in status, in every way that counts. Unlike her, poor and stupid, abandoned by her own family. As Brandon spoke to the employees, detailing his vision for the company and his plans for the future, Ki
