I felt bad that it was Alpha Sam himself who escorted me back to the Night Walker's territory. Even though it looked like he was busy.

"Al- Sam, are you sure it's okay to accompany me? Didn't you say you had a meeting?" I asked from beside him. The Jeep we were driving drove fast through the night streets. Turns out Alex wasn't driving this car when he came back earlier, maybe running in his wolf form was a lot faster than using a car.

He glanced up at her with a smile before looking back at the street in front of him. "Don't worry, my business is done ... and actually I was chasing a prisoner who was running away. Luckily he hasn't gone too far."

I could see the furious expression on his face as he said his last sentence. "Prisoner? Is that ... Zaya my friend?" I asked a little doubtful.

His jaw twitched slightly when he heard Zaya's name. I don't know why, but Alpha Sam seems to really hate it.

"Are you sure he's your friend?" he asked in a low, sharp voice. "That woman has kidnappe
