139: Promise me you will return

I got Danna's text to open the door and I did just as she had said. My first thoughts were that Devin had tried to take advantage of her but when she burst out of there, panting heavily and gripping my shoulders as she tried to catch her breath, she asked, "Where's Ryan?"

I'd wondered the same for a while but then I had silently started hoping he would not show up just because I wanted to stall Devin here for as long as possible.

"I was starting to wonder the same myself, I haven't seen him all morning since he left," I started to explain but she cut me short.

"You need to go and find him right away, he is sacrificing himself or at least that is what Devin says I don't really understand try and find your mate as soon as possible." She said the words with so much panic.

I furrowed my confused brows, "excuse me?"

I didn't wait for any further explanation from her, I just stormed my way to the pack house it only made sense that it was the reason why he had been so off track yesterday.
