For the Alpha

My name is Nadeline Woods and I'm an omega. The moon goddess was unfair to me when she birthed me with this rank. I never knew my real parents but I was raised in the blood moon pack all my life.

"Ryan constantly acts like he's in heat." Stacey Anfield, my best friend said to me as we cleaned the cave for where the alpha's daughter, Jenna's new room would be. This was our job, to tend to the needs of the higher rank members of the pack.

"Everyone acts like they are in heat around him." I reminded her. Ryan was Alpha Park's first born son and he was a complete contrast from his father. Alpha Park was a great leader and made us all feel safe, he got along with everyone and treated us as a family but he was getting old, too old to lead the pack and Ryan was going to take over as the next alpha, no one looked forward to that. The man was a demon, cared for no one and his presence was scary.

I dipped my rag into the bucket of soap water, squeezed it and resumed cleaning the newly done marble floors of the cave. "What do you think he does with the omegas he constantly calls into his chambers?" 

"I would love to find out." Stacey rolled her eyes. She wasn't born an omega like me. She was a rogue from an attacked pack whose members were accepted into ours as omegas. She had the most beautiful red curly hair ever and bright blue eyes that appeared silver sometimes. 

There was sudden silence in the room and that meant a high rank was in here. Stacey and I immediately focused on our work, not wanting to get into trouble with any high ranks. 

The soap water was dirty by now and so I stood to my feet getting ready to change it. I turned on my heels too fast and I bumped into the figure that had been standing behind me that I took no notice of. The bucket had dropped to the floor from the collision, spilling the dirty water all over me and-  my eyes went wide in realization. It was none other than Ryan. 

Immediately, I went on my knees, disregarding how the water on the floor was soiling my gown, and bowed my head, "I'm sorry sir, I'm so sorry sir."

There were muffled whispers in the room. My heart beat fast in panic, I was dead meat. Everyone knew Ryan had a temper and never let anything slide.

"Look up at me." His voice was the deepest anyone could ever hear. Slowly, I lifted my face to meet his gaze still in my kneeling position. This was the first time I would be so close to him. His skin was tanned and his jet black hair was wavy and shoulder length. His chiseled jaw was surrounded by a neatly shaved beard and his full pink lips reminded me of crystals. 

My wolf Aela beamed with delight at this man's handsomeness but that was all she could do because omegas were not blessed with the ability to know their mates and hence could not fall in love.

"Stand to your feet." His commanding tone sent shivers of fear down my spine. With my wobbly limbs, I did as he had ordered, unable to maintain eye contact.

"Come with me." He didn't wait for me to listen to his orders as he turned to leave. With his back to me, I quickly glanced in Stacey's direction.

'Rest in peace', she mouthed to me.

I swallowed hard and went after the devil himself. He didn't say a word to me and it was almost as though he had even forgotten I was here. I wanted to keep apologizing but it was rude to speak to a high rank when I wasn't asked to.

Ryan stopped in front of his chambers and typed in the entrance password. I had only ever walked past the chambers, never been in there. Was this where he was going to behead me? I hadn't even witnessed my first blood moon festival. Omegas weren't allowed to the biggest pack festival unless they were nineteen. I wasn't going to be nineteen until next month and the only dream I had was going to be ripped from me.

Once we were in the paradise that was his chambers, he locked the door from behind and I didn't know if I had to keep going with him. This place smelled like roses and exclusive petals.

It was like a whole acre here. There was a huge bed at one end of the corner,  an actual fountain in the center of the room, a pool sized bathtub carved specially for him, made of gold and diamond beads. The floor was an off white marble one and the walls were covered in arts of Ryan. I was so distracted taking the whole place in, I didn't realize he was taking his clothes off until my eyes averted to the tub once more.

As he fiddled with the string of his pants, I turned around sharply and closed my eyes.

Aela was begging me to look but I shut her out. What was he even doing going naked in front of me?

"Turn around." His voice sent visible goosebumps on my skin. I didn't know if it was because I was scared of him but it made me uncomfortable. 

"Sir, I can't..." I stammered.

"Turn around." He repeated, his voice maintaining the initial consistency of command.

I did as he ordered. The naked lower half of him was dipped in the water of the tub while his bare upper half distracted me insanely. 

"Come here." 

I got back to my senses and shook my head fast, taking steps away from him. 

Ryan raised one eyebrow, his face still blank. Maybe he wasn't used to people not listening to him, maybe it was the effrontery I had as an omega but I couldn't succumb. 

"I can't, sir, I'm a v..virgin."
