"Oh come on Mrs. Navarro, I don't bite," Beau said with amusement dancing in his face at the distance Kaia had decided to keep between the two of the them. He knew why she had decided to keep away from him because his own body had started reacting the moment he had seen him through the restaurant window, looking sexy as hell in simple jeans and a messy bun to top off her whole look.

Kaia blushed at his words as she tried all she could not to look him in the eye, her fear being that she would act on how hot her body was at the thought of being alone with her husband again. They needed to talk in all seriousness and Kaia was determined not to let him distract her. "You're supposed to be taking care of the companies Beau!" His smile dropped instantly and he proceeded to run his fingers through his hair, a habit he seemed to be taking up more and more.

"I don't care about that anymore Kaia, I need you by my side," he inhaled sharply as he took the decision to move closer to her. They had b

She felt herself panic but to her relief, found her beautiful husband standing by the bed with a tray full of food. “You looked so peaceful, so Lulu and I decided to make you breakfast. Well, Lulu ate all the pancakes but I tried to save you some!” Kaia watched his playful stance and the bright smile on his face. At that moment, she knew she wanted nothing but to see that beautiful smile every day of her life. Luna watched the exchange between her parents quietly and noticing she was not getting the attention she was used to, she let out a string of baby babble. “I’m sorry angel, mommy’s not looking at you? No morning cuddles today? That’s daddy’s fault.”Beau sat down close to his two favorite people and gently put the food down on the on the bedside table. “Hey, don’t put all this on me, I co

Kaia sat down, waiting for Beau's wrath to rain down on her hard, she couldn't even look him in the eye. Beau had shut the door in Matt's face, telling him his wife would be resigning effective immediately. Kaia was not going to agree with him of course, but she needed him to stay calm first. It would take her begging him the only way she knew how and she smiled at the naughty thoughts going through her mind. "Now is not the time to be smiling Kaia, that pervert of a man is the most disrespectful person I've ever come across.""Do you find me attractive Beau?" The question startled Beau and he immediately stopped his pacing, wondering why she was asking this question, but without a second thought he nodded his head, not wanting to ruin what he was trying to do to fix their marriage. "Then why don't you think other men might see exactly what you see?" Beau thought about what she had just said, truthfully realizing he had never thought about what Kaia had just made him aware of. The next morning Kaia woke up tired as hell, but she needed to get Beau to get back and try to salvage whatever he could from his father's company. You can't hide here any longer!"Beau knew she was right but he did not have the heart to leave her and he was too scared to ask her to come with back with him, since she seemed to comfortable in this little heaven she had created for herself and Luna. He sighed and rolled to his side so he could look her straight in the eye, "I'm not leaving you Kaia Carson Navarro, I need you beside me if I have any chance of getting through all of this madness."Madness? What he was saying was the real madness. "Beau, you can't live here while things go to shit on the other side. I will not let you give up on the things you've worked so hard for." Kaia slid into the car Beau had called to pick them up, feeling too tired to even talk. Luna, being the daddy’s girl she was turning into, was yet again sleeping on her father’s chest, who slid in right beside Kaia, looking like the long flight had not happened. Kaia summed it up to the fact that he usually made these long trips several times in a week, he had gotten used to it. She looked at him with a sleepy smile and he gave her back a tiny smile, feeling bad for how tired she looked.“Sleep my love, I will wake you up once we get to the house. I need to start making phone calls anyways and I do not want to bore you.” He was being weird, she thought to herself, but his offer for a short nap through the long journey they were about to take back to their apartment. “Okay baby, don’t work too hard.”He put Luna comfortably into her card seat and made sure Kaia was fast asleep before he made his phone call. More investors were threatening to leave Beau as they felt he was not competent enough to take care of their investments and Kaia was ready to have them hooked again. She gave Luna a loud kiss which made the little girl giggle uncontrollably. She smiled at the exaggerated laughter which was serving to calm her nerves more than the coffee she had made but could not stomach. Beau came down a few minutes later to a breakfast made by his beautiful wife, who for some reason, had not made an effort to even touch a piece of toast on her plate."Nervous, huh," was all he could say, hating that she was in this position because of her. He would not let Kaia sit on h

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 59

Beau hurried to walk in close to his wife, wanting to mark the territory with his mere presence. Kaia smiled as she walked in with her laptop in her hands. "Hello ladies and gentlemen, we meet again!" Her smile seemed contagious and everyone in the conference room beamed at her. Beau was not sure whether the smiles were all genuine or if it was because of her choice in outfit. Beau was reluctant to got to his seat but he took her laptop from her and set everything up, even though his assistant was perfectly capable of setting up. "I'm sorry for this sudden meeting, I would have loved it more if I met each of you in your respective departments so we can chat in a more casual manner but matters don't really allow for that at the moment." Beau flashed her a smile, proud of how she was going about this, it seemed her nerves had left her the moment they entered their car.Kaia took her time as she went through her presentation, incorporating her parenting skills into her approach. Beau was so excited to have his wife to himself. finally, all he wanted was time alone with him. After the way she dominated the conference room today, all he wanted was to worship her and give her anything and everything she wanted. "Can I take you out for dinner Mrs. Navarro?" He sounded like a love sick puppy and he really did not care anymore. He was both amazed and aroused at the same time.Kaia was surprised at the attention Beau was giving her but loved it nonetheless. She made sure to sway her hips as she walked towards the elevator, letting Beau's assistant help her back into her coat but he stopped her with a whisper to her ear, "Do you really need it? I am quiet enjoying seeing your body.""We have work to do babe, plus you're definitely giving everyone her a free show." Their sibling bond grew stronger with each passing day, filled with adventures and shared secrets. Sometimes Kaia would just watch them when they thought they were alone enough to be naughty and just admired her babies.Kaia considered herself blessed to have any sort of stable family and as hard as it had been getting here, all that mattered was that she was here and she was loving every moment of it. She had the worst luck for th longest time and thought she was destined to be just an aunt

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 85

A few months later, as Kaia struggled to get out of their bed, feeling huge as a whale, she couldn't help but smile at the sight of her loving husband and their beautiful baby girl trying to tiptoe into the room with a tray full of all her favorites. The pregnancy had been a bit harder than with Lulu and with her due date being so close, Beau had decided to take paternity leave earlier. "Morning mommy! Do you need some help?" Lulu giggled, having come to enjoy making fun of Kaia's daily struggles to do the easiest of tasks. She usually had to end up giving her a hand putting on her shoes or handing her anything she had dropped. Beau had a huge, silly grin on his face as he rushed to her side. "Easy there, baby," he said, putting the tray down on their side table and helping her get to her feet. Kaia had gotten much bigger this time, to the point where they had been convinced for a short while that they were expecting twins but later found out it was just an overly active baby boy o

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 84

Kaia took a deep breath to calm herself down, but her mind and heart refused to cooperate. She felt her eyes fill to the brim with tears, and she had to take a step back; she would not let this woman see just how much she had hurt her. "Why, Melissa? Right now, that's the only thing I want to know. What good comes from hurting me, from destroying my family?" Melissa had grown used to her daughter's indifference, her stoic face, and the hatred that occasionally dripped from her lips—the utter distaste she had for her and Mike—but never in her life had she seen Kaia cry from any kind of hurt she had conflicted. The only time she had seen a bit of emotion from her daughter was in the few months they had gotten along. Kaia had worked hard to keep her emotions in check, but like any child, she had sought comfort in her mother's presence. "Trin---," Melissa tried in a shaky voice, then remembered the disdain Kaia had for the name. "Kaia I swear I had no hand in kidnapping Lulu. I love yo

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 83

In the morning Kaia woke up to an empty bed, only to hear Beau’s voice come from their bedroom balcony. “I want that woman out of my house in the next hour Jaden. I don’t know what I was thinking even suggesting we bring her here; I have a pregnant wife and a young child for God’s sake!”Kaia had thought like Beau was thinking right now, but as time went on and her anger dissipated, she still wanted to get revenge, but she at least thought to hear Melissa’s side of the story first. Funny thing though, she still had not been with her long enough to even listen to any of the words that would come out her mouth. Most of her visits to the safe room was when she could see from the camera feed from her phone, that Melissa was asleep or only when she wanted to give her special meals. She never said a word though! She got out of their bed, put a robe on and left the bedroom to make them breakfast, not wanting to disturb his phone call. Beau had spent too long in his sick bed and knowing her h

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 82

Beau lay in the quiet of their bedroom, watching Lulu play silently on the floor, surrounded by the hum of medical equipment monitoring his recovery. The past weeks had a hell for him physically and mentally but it had been worse for his pregnant wife. He glanced at the empty space where Kaia used to slept next to him, now abandoned in favor of a makeshift bed close to him so she could rest without disturbing him but still be close enough to monitor him throughout the night. Jaden had informed him of Melissa’s presence in the safe room as soon as Kaia had allowed him to touch anything work related. He also knew Kaia had found out a whole week ago of her mother’s capture and detainment and he hated himself now for the decision he had taken to bring Melissa here. At first, he thought he could get information out of the older woman, just so they could understand why Mike did any of this. Then as Beau recovered and only had his mind to work with, he realized that he had done it for Meli

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 81

Jaden, Beau's security team leader, had been given instructions no one knew about and now that Beau was incapacitated, he knew Kaia was the next person he would have to approach to tell everything to. The woman had been breaking down with the kidnapping of her child and finding out about her husband's coma, but a week later she was taking care of things like the boss she was. Beau had come out of her coma but he was still healing. Kaia had insisted they moved him to their home, got him every piece of equipment his doctor needed and made sure he had around the clock care. She woke up early to fix him and Luna breakfast, fed them both then took Luna to their home office with her while she worked. She would only eat when Jen or Leon arrived, so Jen basically moved her and Kim in to make sure she ate and did not over work herself.Yesterday had been her first day leaving both Luna and Beau’s side and her anxiety levels had been sky high. Knowing Jen was back at home made her feel slightl

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 80

Kaia knew this go could either way but she had to keep strong for her babies. "Doctor, Mrs. Navarro is here and I think you can start communicating everything with her from now on," Leon said before the doctor could say anything, pointing at Kaia for the doctor to see. Kaia felt her heart skip a beat as she tried her best to give the doctor a small smile. "Mrs. Navarro, I'm so sorry we are meeting under these circumstances. Your husband suffered a really horrible injury to the head but there must be a higher power watching over him because the bullet did not injure any important organs, it did not even go through the skull, just got stuck right above his skull. We were able to take the bullet out but he's still in a short coma." Kaia was not sure whether to cry or laugh at how the doctor was describing all this as a lucky break, especially right after she had been wondering what she had done so wrong to deserve everything they were being dealt by this bigger being or the whole univ

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 79

Jen woke up to her phone ringing and as soon as she noticed it was Leon calling after hours of silence, she decided she would leave the room to answer so she wouldn't wake Kaia up. A sense of doom washed over her as answered the phone. "Babe, is Kaia with you? I don't want her to panic!" Jen was already thinking the worst. Did they find Luna? Was the little girl okay? What would they tell Kaia if anything had happened to her child? Jen's world started spinning and she sat down as she tried to breath. "What's going on Leon? Where is Luna?" The silence on the other end of the phone was suffocating to say the least. Leon immediately saw his mistake, remembering the real issue that had brought him to the predicament he was in now. He wanted to explain things before the cops did because it would sound worse than when it came from a friend. "No, oh God no Jen, please stay calm. Luna is here with me, in my arms as we speak. She doesn't really know me but I guess I was the closest calm pers

  • Fix My Heart   Chapter 78

Beau and his head of security led the men to the location flashing on his screen, Leon sitting by his side practically shitting himself, begging but failing to stop Beau from this suicide mission. Beau was not having any of it, what he wanted was his life back to normal, his wife's smile back and a healthy pregnancy for them. The image of Kaia rolled up into a ball, not even wanting to move kept haunting him, it hurt him so deep. His car screeched to a halt outside the abandoned warehouse, which Beau wondered how Mike had even gotten access to. His heart pounded with a mixture of anger and determination. With a quick glance at the darkened windows and graffiti-covered walls, Beau steeled himself and stepped out into the cold night air, following his men to the main entrance. Leon stayed in the car, knowing he was only here because Jen would have killed him for letting Beau go anywhere alone. Beau would stop at nothing to get his little Lulu out of this place.
