Chapter 57

Kaia slid into the car Beau had called to pick them up, feeling too tired to even talk. Luna, being the daddy’s girl she was turning into, was yet again sleeping on her father’s chest, who slid in right beside Kaia, looking like the long flight had not happened. Kaia summed it up to the fact that he usually made these long trips several times in a week, he had gotten used to it. She looked at him with a sleepy smile and he gave her back a tiny smile, feeling bad for how tired she looked.

“Sleep my love, I will wake you up once we get to the house. I need to start making phone calls anyways and I do not want to bore you.” He was being weird, she thought to herself, but his offer for a short nap through the long journey they were about to take back to their apartment. “Okay baby, don’t work too hard.”
