It was a little after 2 a.m by the time we got finished with the last of the interviews. Leaving the captives in the capable hands of the Warrior guards Roman and I trudged up the stairs to the main floor of the packhouse, both of us bone weary and exhausted.

Without much conscious thought I followed my beta into the first floor sitting room and slumped back on the sofa as Roman poured out two generous glasses of Scotch.
