Chapter Four

*Alice’s POV*

I was enjoying the class, I mean the students were asked to show off their powers and it was really fun watching each of them with different powers; some are almost perfect in controlling theirs while others are still learning.

The powers are really amazing, some with psychokinesis, others with telepathy and many more.

I got to know Seth has another power asides teleportation- stretching, it was actually both weird and funny seeing his hand stretching like an elastic from the front of the class to the back, but it was amazing. I mean, he’s got a power to reduce his stress of walking about just to get something.

Damon’s powers are fucking good too- strength, speed and wall crawling, just like spiderman.

But I was more shocked when it got to Jupiter, I mean she’s more powerful than I thought. That bitch has three powers and they are creepy and scary, now I see why everyone chose to be so scared of her.

She’s got a power to absorb other supernatural beings powers like I was told, she possesses an electrical manipulation power too, so better don’t mess with her when there’s electricity close to her, and lastly she can fucking time travel, is she a time machine?? Fuck, I wish I had such powers too.

She was the last to be called and she smirked at me before going back to her seat. I was praying the teacher doesn’t call me, I have nothing to show off like others.

Just then the most craziest thing happened, Tiger and Jove came into the class, causing a mass of whisperings from every angle.

"What? Kingston and Jove?"

"What are they doing?"

"Geez, Kingston be killing me with the hotness."

"He’s so handsome!!"

"Oh, how I love Jove, he’s cute!"

Even the teacher stopped teaching when they entered. Wait, didn’t Odette say something like he doesn’t attend classes?

“It’s weird, he’s never attended any of the classes,” Odette muttered.

Everyone’s attention is on them now, including me. And then the Tiger went straight to sit down beside Jupiter, I could see her blushing and I scoffed. Does he have to show everyone that he likes her?

I looked away from them and the teacher continued again, I was happy she didn’t bother to call my name 

“So, this is going to be the end of our class for today” She said.

“And, for the new student. Alice, right?” She asked and all eyes turned to me, I couldn’t help but wonder if Tiger was looking at me also.

“Yes?” I looked up.

“You will need an extra class and monitoring with other senior students, or are you confident in..."

“No, I’m not,” I cut in immediately and she nodded.

“I bet her powers are lame, just like her,” That was Jupiter who said that and I turned back at to look at her.

I wanted to talk but Kingston was looking, I just rolled my eyes and turned back to the teacher.

“So, who should I link up with?” I asked, hoping it’s Tiger.

Don’t get me wrong, I just want to get on Jupiter’s nerve.

“Do you know anyone you’re comfortable with? If you don’t, I’m going to just...”

“Tiger” I spoke up without thinking and everyone looked at me, like what the fuck? Who is Tiger?

“Tiger? Who is that?” The teacher asked.

“I...I mean Kingston,” I muttered and the class gasped.

"She called Kingston Tiger," someone muttered.

I turned back to see Kingston looking at my direction, now I think I’m in trouble.

“Kingston? What do you think?” the teacher asked him.

“Kingston is not doing that!” Jupiter snapped and I saw her brother touch her.

Is she crazy?

All eyes turned to him and he seemed to think for a while before speaking up.

“Yeah,” That was all he said.

“Good,” The teacher said and went out of the class.

Kingston was the first to stand up.

“Come with me,” he said once he got to our seat and walked out like that.

“What the hell were you thinking when you called him that?” Odette asked and I opened my mouth to talk.

“Just go, don’t keep him waiting,” she snapped.

I nodded and immediately ran out of the class, I caught him with him.

“Kingston!” I called and he stopped walking.

“I’m, I’m really sorry, I wasn’t...”

“Your class starts by 4pm today,” he cut me off coldly and I swallowed.

Did I make a mistake wanting him as my tutor, or why is he cold? Or is he offended by me calling him a tiger? Which is it?

“Oh, okay” I muttered.

“Yea, and it’s going to be Master from now on,” He said coldly again.

I only nodded and he walked away.

Now I think I’m really dead, like hell, he’s the only one I’m partially scared of in this institute and I wasn’t planning on getting on his bad side, but my mouth....

“Are you okay?” Someone asked behind me and I turned.

“Damon,” I called in a low tone.

“This is not like you, did something happen?” He asked again.

“I think I’m in trouble,” I said and he chuckled.

“Kingston, right?” He asked and I nodded.

“Don’t worry, you will be fine, if he tries to hurt you, just call me and I will hit his handsome face,” He said showing off his strength and I chuckled.

“Thanks for making me laugh,” I said.

“It’s nothing, see you later,” He said and walked away.

I immediately ran to Odette and Perse, I guess they are on their way to the room.

“What’s the time right now?” I asked 

“It’s, 2:50pm” Odette said

“He said my class starts by 4pm, please when it’s 3:45, just show me how the class is gonna be like, so I'd know whether to go or not...” I said to Perse.

“I can’t use my powers on Kingston,” Perse said.

“Huh? I’m not asking you to use your powers on him, I just want you to look into the future and see what is gonna happen.”

“No one in the institute can use their powers on Kingston, I’m sure I won’t see anything since it involves him.” Perse said again.

“Is he that powerful? I have a feeling he might kill me, I won’t go.” I muttered.

“First time I'm seeing you scared,” Odette teased.

“You can’t do that, you need to go or it won’t be nice at all,” Perse added and I nodded.

“I need good food and rest before 4pm, please” I said and we all turned towards the cafeteria.

“Good luck to you, Ice” Odette kissed my cheek.

Its few minutes to 4 already and I need to get my ass there before 4.

I nodded and walked out of the room, walking to Tiger’s apartment. It’s not like I’m going to stop calling him that, the only mistake I made was saying it out loud, but who cares now? The deed is done already, no going back.

I continued walking until I got there, I greeted the three guys I met at the door; I’m still wondering if they are guards or something else. They replied me quite well and I went in, I still remember passing this way last time I was here.

I got to the living room and I was able to admire it. When I came here the other night, it was tension filled and I couldn’t check it out.

I smiled and sat down, but I stood up again, should I go into the room? What if he’s waiting already? It’s 4pm already.

I exhaled and arranged my hair, I tied it up this time, who knows if he will get mad if it’s down. Annoying.

I knocked on the door but there was no response. I did again, the same thing. I opened the door and went in but the sight I beheld in front of me shook me.

Kingston and a girl I couldn't recognise were kissing each other as if they were the only ones in the world, the girl was almost naked.

They both stopped and turned to me and my eyes widened when I saw who the girl was; it’s that bitch, Jupiter.

“I’m sorry,” I said and went out of the room immediately.

I sat down when I got to the living room, I don’t know why my heart is beating fast right now. I should have just waited here, I wouldn’t have seen that hectic scene. Does that mean they are dating? Or probably, they are only fucking each other and nothing more?

I wonder if Jupiter’s brother is aware of this, but then what’s my business about it anyway?

It felt really somehow in my body reminiscing that scene, though, I didn’t know they are close to this extent. Gosh, just stop thinking Alice, it’s nothing. Jupiter is a bitch and you’re not.

I sat down waiting but they didn’t come out, I was begining to feel sleepy when Jupiter came out like a bitch she is. Wait, I actually thought she was half naked earlier, does that mean she dressed this way all the way from her room? Is she seducing him or something?

I sighed, what’s the difference? They had sex, that’s it.

She smirked and stood in front of me.

“I see you’re trying your best to get close to him, but don’t even dare. I am sure you now know what I can do, unless you want me to show you before you back off. Kingston is mine, do you get that?” She said to my face.

“Of course I know, I don’t shit around with boys all because of getting their dicks into my pussy just like you, mine is too precious. You should keep yours clean too or it’s gonna start stinking if too many dicks get into it. Oh, it’s even stinking already. I don’t know how you got him, maybe he....”

I was just on a roll, until she interrupted me.

“How dare you!!” I didn’t finish when she slapped me right in the face.

I mean, I never intended to say all that, I just don’t know why I keep on saying those shits out, but how dare her slap me!

I raised my hand to slap her also but someone grabbed my hand from the back and I turned back angrily to see Kingston holding me.

“Let go of me!” I snapped and threw his hand off.

“You can’t fight here,” He said and gave a sign to Jupiter to leave.

Wait, just like that? I’m not going to slap mine back? He just supported her right in front of me, how dare he make a fool out of me!

Jupiter smirked and walked out, then I faced him angrily.

“Why did you do that?! Just why the hell will you stop me from hitting her when she did the same to me! How dare you!” I yelled out, almost in tears.

“It’s 5:30,” he said.

“I don’t care! It was you who was busy fucking, I’ve been waiting here for forever!” I yelled again.

“If you yell at me once again, I will kill you, do you get that?” He snapped coldly at me.

I glared at him but didn’t say anything again, how dare he threaten me? The tears I was trying so hard to conceal started flowing endlessly from my eyes.

He let out a smirk as if it’s nothing and I started wiping my tears, I fucked up.

“If you’re ready, come with me,” he said and went in.

I stopped crying and followed him.

I didn’t find him in the room, where did he go all of a sudden. I sat down on a seat staring round the room, I hate him right now, I hate him so much. He has gotten into my black list already.

He came into the room minutes later, he had a new clothes on now. I guess he took his bath because his hair still looked somehow sticky, he’s really handsome but I don’t care anymore.

Our eyes met and I looked away, he went out again and returned with some books.

He threw the books on the floor, I counted it roughly and it was more than twenty big books. I looked up at him.

“Start reading them, you must finish everything before 10pm tonight, make sure you understand every bit of it or you’re in trouble.” he said.

“But, how can I finish everything?” I blurted.

“Do I look like I care?” He scoffed.

Bastard!

“Call me that once again and you will regret it,” He said and I gasped.

Don’t tell me he read minds also. Now I’m in trouble for sure.

“Don’t step out of this place until I am back,” He said and I nodded but he shot me a hard glare.

“Yes Master,” I corrected myself and he went out.

I sighed and sat down on the floor, not like I have a choice.

I started checking the books out, they are supernatural books mainly on how to discover powers within. I took one and started reading, I don’t think I can finish even one of the books before 10pm. He’s just being wicked right now.

Night*

*Writer’s POV*

Jupiter sat down, her two legs in the cold pool water. She was looking angry, she finally had had enough of Alice.

She made up her mind, she’s going to fucking absorb all the powers in her, including the ones she haven’t even discovered yet.

“Don’t try that thing you’re thinking” someone said behind her and she froze. She looked back and saw Kingston.

“What do you mean?” she retorted.

“You know what I mean, don’t lay your finger on her powers or I will make yours useless,” Kingston said, not bluffing.

“Why do you care?!” She snapped.

“You don’t have to know,” Kingston said and walked away.

“I hate her!” Jupiter screamed.

When Kingston got back to his room, Alice was fast asleep on the floor. He chuckled, he knew she wouldn’t even finish the books.

He bent down in front of her, she was looking so calm and innocent that no one would ever think she’s the crazy type.

He tried removing the hair strands on her face but she opened her eyes, and he immediately straightened up.

“You’re back.”

“What do you think you’re doing? Get up!” Kingston yelled and immediately Alice got up.

“I’m sorry I slept off,” She said.

“It’s past 10, did you finish everything?” Kingston asked.

“I finished one,” she managed to talk.

“Go, you should resume by 6am tomorrow. If you are one minute late tomorrow, consider yourself dead.” Kingston threatened.

Alice nodded and walked towards the door.

“Isn’t that a spider?” She heard Kingston suddenly asked.

“Arrgh!!!!” Alice let out a scream and jumped on him, and they both fell on the bed.

Alice held him so tightly as if she was dying.

Kingston who was making a call hung up immediately, still looking at her confused as fuck.

Alice was still on top of him.

‘Is she scared of spiders?’ He thought to himself.

“Hey, hey,” He tapped her shoulders but she didn’t let go.

“Please take it away,” she muttered, burying her face more into his chest.

“What?”

“Spider, it’s scary,” Alice replied.
