Chapter 133 - Marriage

William took a shower and settled himself in the bed, spooning her.

She seemed lost in thought, so he whispered.

“A penny for your thoughts?”

She smiled at him as she said.

“Just thinking about the food in the buffet tomorrow.”

William was speechless. He told her about Ria.

“Ria was crying today. She and Maddox have been living together for so many years. I don’t see what’s there to cry about because of marriage. Isn’t this just a formality?”

“How could it be just formality?”

“Why not? Marriage is just legally binding. What matters is the feeling between two people.”

“In essence, you are right, but not entirely. In our minds, marriage has been engraved as a union and, in many ways, the outcome of a relationship. On a subconscious level, it provides a level of security.”

“If I don’t love you but still marry you, how could you possibly be secure?”
