William chuckled when Rosaline heaved an audible sigh after he stopped the car at the garage of AR Mansion.

“What’s so funny?”

“If you were scared, you could have told me. You were clutching my jacket so tightly. There are probably finger-shaped holes on them. Did you also hold your breath throughout the way?”

“I could not possibly hold my breath for that long.”

“If you are scared, just tell me. Don’t keep it in.”

“You were the one who told me not to disturb you.”

“I did, but that’s not what I meant.”

“What did you mean?”

Amidst the bickering, Rosaline did not realize he had lowered the car seat, and she was practically lying on his chest.

She looked up when he laughed, only to find herself in an ambiguous position.

“Wait. How did we get like this? And oh, dear god, I wanted to go to Tessa’s.”

“I thought you agreed to stay with me.”

“No, I was just teasing you. My clothes and everything are still in Tessa’s place. We planned to get our hair and makeup done in her place before going t
