Alexander clenched his fists and looked down through the veranda of his palace; he still couldn't believe Lyra was gone. He paced back and forth in the sitting room as if he were about to lose control. The sound of the door snapped him back to the present, and he turned his gaze to it.
"Sir," Jack said slowly, knowing how angered Alexander was. "You've got some visitors who want to see you; they said it's really urgent," he added.
"Do they have anything to do with Lyra?" He turned to him swiftly, hoping for a positive response, but Jack shook his head disapprovingly.
"Sir, it has to do with the pack," Jack said slowly as he watched his master seethe silently. Alexander waved at Jack, who promptly left, knowing his master wasn't in the right state of mind to attend to any visitors.
Alexander sat on the plush couch in his private chambers, and memories of Lyra began to flood back. He pushed himself closer, leaning his back on the couch as he sniffed Lyra's scent. He gnashed his teeth as he inhaled her scent; it made his whole body aroused, and he started to heat up almost immediately.
Alexander drank himself to stupor as he kept thinking of Lyra. He couldn't still believe she had a hold on him, and she was his mate. He poked his skin, guilt-ridden about how he had been treating her like trash.
Soon, the maid Alexander had sent for arrived at his chambers; he had asked Jack to get her so he could forget about Lyra, now that she was gone. He leaned forward to the maid, and suddenly she disgusted him. All his mind could think about was Lyra, and the maid standing in front of him was nothing like her.
She had a different skin color, her hair was short and a different color from Lyra's. The maid stood in front of him and started to undress. Alexander, who was heating up, was completely turned off. She leaned forward to him as he was seated and raised her boobs towards him, but Alexander just sat still and sipped his drink. He turned to her and he couldn't help but scowl. Lyra's boobs was just the perfect size he wanted, not this large one in front of him.
As he looked at her naked body, it started to disgust him. The maid caressed his chest, but Alexander pulled her hands away from him.
"Get out!" He sneered.
The maid quickly put her clothes back on and made her way out of his chambers. He watched her run out in fear, and he couldn't help but scowl. The way she had undressed wasn't something Lyra would do. Even as a maid, she was still classy; she always allowed Alexander to undress her gradually. And that alone made him even more aroused and happy.
Alexander leaned back in his chair and lit his cigarette, taking a long drag, hoping he could smoke away the memory of Lyra from his head.
He walked close to the door where it looked like he saw something. He pushed aside a trunk and found Lyra's panties. It seemed that after their last encounter, she didn't bother to find her panties before leaving the next morning. He held them for a few minutes and then proceeded to sniff the scent, which helped him fall asleep.
The next morning, the sunlight that shone through the windows forced him to wake up, hoping to see Lyra sleeping by his side, but there was no one. He turned and met an empty space, causing him to sigh at his imagination.
He walked down to the sitting room but met some of his servants on his way. "Good morning, My lord," they greeted in unison, but Alexander didn't spare them a glance.
He walked into the kitchen. "Why is my food not yet served?" He hollered at the maids who were chitchatting, causing them to jump in surprise.
"Sir, My lord, it's still 6 AM," one of the maids said, fidgeting with her clothes in fear, wary of what Alexander might do.
Alexander stared at the maids, then sighed inwardly. He never knew it was still that early. He walked out of the kitchen and made his way out, embarrassed. Then he met Jack.
"Disperse men to find her," Alexander said.
"Sir?" Jack furrowed his brows, confused about what his master was doing outside his private chambers so early.
"Make sure you find her!" he added.

Lyra lay on the soft hospital bed, wincing as she slowly opened one eye, unable to recognize where she was.
"Where am I?" She tried to stand, but a young lady rushed towards her. "Ma'am, you need to calm down."
"Who brought me here?" She asked, still perplexed about her location. She looked around the room and noticed it was a hospital.
"How did I get here?" She asked the lady, frustrated by the silence the lady gave her. The last thing she remembered was staggering through the streets when she lost consciousness and fell flat onto the ground.
A few minutes later, a woman walked into the ward where Lyra was lying. From her outfit, she looked like the doctor in charge of Lyra's ward. She made her way to the ward, and as she opened the door, Lyra jerked up from the bed.
"How did I get here?" Lyra repeated, but the doctor didn't reply.
"Miss, congratulations," she said with a soft smile, causing Lyra to furrow her brows, unable to understand what the woman was saying. She felt her heart race, and her palms began to sweat. She shook her head, feeling utterly lost as she yanked the sheets off her body. Standing on her feet, she stood utterly speechless as her legs suddenly became wobbly, and her hands began to tremble. "No," she muttered inwardly as her sight suddenly became blurry.
"Miss, you're pregnant. Congratulations once again!" The doctor smiled, causing Lyra to force a smile and sit back on the bed.
Lyra felt her heart race, and her palms began to sweat profusely. "Preg… What?" "You can go, but you need to see me in my office," the doctor said with a soft smile, and Lyra followed her, counting her steps like a lost sheep. She entered the office, which was well-furnished with plush couches scattered around. The doctor had impeccable taste, but that was the least of Lyra's concerns. She chided herself, realizing that she was pregnant with Alexander's pup."Have a seat, Miss," the doctor pointed to one of the pink plush couches across from Lyra. She settled in but remained lost in her thoughts."I'm Scarlet," the doctor introduced herself, extending her hand for a handshake, but Lyra ignored it."I know you're going through a lot right now, but you need to stay strong for your pup. You could have been dead by now if not for the man who brought you in here at the last moment," Scarlet explained in a serious tone, though Lyra scowled. She wished the doctor would hurry her words along
A few hours later, they arrived at Scarlet's house. Lyra trudged along, following Scarlet closely, the weight of fatigue settling over her. Her eyes were heavy and red, evidence of her exhaustion. Yawns escaped her, showing just how tired she was. When Lyra finally entered the house, she sank into one of the plush couches near her. She took in the opulence of Scarlet's apartment: the pink plush couches, similar to the one in her office, suggesting a Scarlet's penchant for pink; the beautiful chandeliers and magnificent lights that illuminated the space. Scarlet had an impeccable taste."Have some," Scarlet offered, placing a steaming cup of coffee on the table in front of Lyra. Lyra stared at it for a moment, her reflection of her shattered life visible in the cup. Eventually, she reached for it, took a sip, and placed it back on the table. She wasn't in the mood for coffee."You need it to calm your nerves," Scarlet urged urgently, as if begging. Lyra remained still, staring blankly

Lyra didn't bother turning because she knew the woman wasn't addressing her."I don't know! If he isn't coming out yet, he should let us all go," another voice chimed in."That's harsh, you know..." As Lyra ran off, Alexander stood at a distance, watching her trail off happily. He let out a small laugh as his face beamed with a smile. He saw her as an amateur wolf and very amusing. His right-hand man,Jack, stood from afar, looking at both of them. He wondered what amused his master about such a lowlife she-wolf like Lyra. She wasn't his type, not even close to being his type; she's not even worth his whores!"Alpha, do you fancy her?" he asked, bowing."Do you think I do?" Alexander chuckled. "Do you think I'd be interested in such a low-life?" he added."I don't know," Jack hummed with a smirk, causing Alexander to frown, his smile disappearing, pretending not to have heard Jack or seen his smiley face. He didn't know if Jack had mocked him or didn't believe him."That man in the white fur coat," he pointed at Lyra's uncle who was hastily making his way back into the Grand Hall."Yes, sir," Jack nodded approvingly."I want you to trail him to his house. Invite him and his family
Alexander spotted Lyra as she stepped out of the car with Jack. He smiled as he sat in his chair, adjusted his clothes, and went to his guest room."Good afternoon, Alpha," Donald bowed.Alexander remained silent in response to his greetings. His brows furrowed, and his face turned fiery red. He then turned to Jack."Why is he still here?""Erm... I thought it was unnecessary," Jack stuttered.Alexander didn't flinch but smirked."It seems someone is incompetent. You now disobey my orders and do your own thing, huh?""No, sir!" Jack growled pleading but Alexander wasn't accepting his apology. He turned and fixed his gaze on Donald."Why did you choose to defy my orders?" "I'm sorry. Forgive me, my lord," Donald begged as he trembled in fear, his hand shaking."You're sorry? Lyra stood there, nervous and happy at the same time. Her hands started shaking and she giggled, quickening her breath. She stuttered, "Y-Y-Yes, my lord."Alexander finished his drink just as Jack walked inside, his face red as he clenched his fists in anger.
