As Lyra ran off, Alexander stood at a distance, watching her trail off happily. He let out a small laugh as his face beamed with a smile. He saw her as an amateur wolf and very amusing.
His right-hand man,Jack, stood from afar, looking at both of them. He wondered what amused his master about such a lowlife she-wolf like Lyra. She wasn't his type, not even close to being his type; she's not even worth his whores!
"Alpha, do you fancy her?" he asked, bowing.
"Do you think I do?" Alexander chuckled. "Do you think I'd be interested in such a low-life?" he added.
"I don't know," Jack hummed with a smirk, causing Alexander to frown, his smile disappearing, pretending not to have heard Jack or seen his smiley face. He didn't know if Jack had mocked him or didn't believe him.
"That man in the white fur coat," he pointed at Lyra's uncle who was hastily making his way back into the Grand Hall.
"Yes, sir," Jack nodded approvingly.
"I want you to trail him to his house. Invite him and his family here tomorrow," he ordered.
"Master, it seems you fancy her," Jack chuckled lightly, drawing out of Alexander's sight.Alexander waved the tease aside like he didn't hear him.
"He should be here tomorrow before noon unless I'll have his fingers chopped off," he ordered in a soft but cold voice.
Anyone near him would have felt his cold and ruthless demeanor from his voice. Alexander wasn't one to mess with when his voice got so cold with such a devilish grin across his face. So Jack knew better than to act otherwise.
"What are you still waiting for?" he scowled. "If you lose him in the crowd, I'll chop your fingers off,"Alexander warned.
"Okay, Master! I'll be on my way." Jack bowed and ran out to trail Lyra's uncle. He wasn't ready for Alexander's wrath.
As Lyra walked home, she didn't know what others were plotting against her. Her uncle didn't even pay for her cab. But she was glad she walked, as it helped clear her mind from thoughts of Alexander. However, the idea of him being her mate still bothered her.

Being a Saturday Lyra was in the kitchen doing the dishes, immediately after that she went to clean. Her regular day as Lyra had just started. She lived in a big house that made people think she had a perfect life, but that wasn't true.
Only the woman wearing the shoes knew how it was for her. One thing was clear in her life: she had no freedom. Anything that might make her feel better, her uncle would make sure it wasn't granted to her.
He made sure she didn't go out to meet or play with anyone. When it was time for her to go out, he chose her friends. But she felt trapped in her father's house, like a slave. Her uncle had sold most of her parents' things, leaving her very poor. She barely had clothes. The only valuable thing was the house they both lived in, he would have sold it off too, but they were both living in it together and Lyra wouldn't let him sell it.
"Lyra!" He yelled from the sitting room, bringing her back to reality. She knew what he was about to say, so she stayed silent and continued cleaning. Sighing to herself, she arranged the plates and wiped her hands. But before she could speak, he interrupted her again.
"Slow sloth! You'll need the whole day to finish up," he cursed but Lyra rolled her eyes and ignored while she came out to the sitting room.
"I thought you'd never come out, Crazy Bitch!" he scowled. But Lyra kept silent, any talk from her might result in a smack across her beautiful face.
There was a knock on the door dragging his attention away from her to the door.
"Bitch!Go check who it is!" He ordered. Lyra hurried to check. She opened the door and saw Jack, Alexander's Beta. She recognized him easily since she saw him yesterday. But what does he want?
"Is your Uncle home,?" He asked and she nodded.
"Hoe,Who the hell is…," Her uncle cursed but swallowed his words once Lyra opened the door and it was Jack.
"Oh,How may I help you sir,"he stuttered in fear.
"The Alpha wants you to report to his palace with your family before 12 noon." Jack answered, his voice very authoritative while he made his way out Immediately.
Mr Donald quickly turned his wrist to check the time and it was still 9pm,he exhaled softly.
"You heard him,Get prepared" he said, fixing his gaze on Lyra who scoffed at his words.
"I heard correctly, I'm not your family," she mumbled, walking towards her room. She didn't understand why the Alpha wanted her Uncle and his family in his palace. What did her uncle do? 'Either way I'm not his family' she hissed.
The next day, Lyra remained in bed, her mind still clouded by her uncle's curses. Mr. Donald grew impatient, wondering why she hadn't come out. Alpha Alexander had summoned him to his palace at 12 noon and demanded to come with his family.
Being a self centered person his mate had left him a long time ago and he has no other family except Lyra.
"Lyra! What's taking you so long?" he bellowed. Lyra remained in her room, not willing to be the obedient lamb this time, not after enduring all those curses a few hours ago.
"I'm not feeling well," she sneered. Donald's grip tightened on the cup in his hands at her disrespectful tone. Glancing at his wristwatch, he realized he was running late and knew he couldn't afford to anger Alexander.
"You! You little piece of sh*t!" he groaned. "I've got a very busy schedule. You'll have yourself to blame when I get back!"
He hailed a cab and went to Alpha Alexander's palace. After he left, she leaned back, smiling contentedly and feeling fulfilled now that he was gone.
Alpha Alexander stood at the high tower he had built for himself, a place for his training and leisure time. From there, he could oversee his vast pack and sometimes gained a clear view of his kingdom.
As he stood, his mind wandered back to Lyra's choice of words and how she had spoken to him when they bumped into each other.
Speaking of which, he looked down and saw Donald highlighted from a cab. He was excited, a small smile cracked on his always frowning face. However, the smile disappeared when he saw Donald arrive alone, without Lyra.
Jack ran into the tower and met Alpha Alexander halfway.
"Sir, the man you requested to see is here," Jack said, but Alpha Alexander shrugged his shoulders.
"Only him?"
"Yes, sir," Jack muttered, stepping back from the staircase to give way to his master.
"Who was he supposed to come here with?" Alpha Alexander asked again, disappointment evident in his voice this time.
"Sir, his daughter," Jack chuckled, and Alexander gave him a sneer.
"So what are you waiting for? Must I always tell you what to do?" he questioned, his voice full of rage and beginning to grow impatient.
"Throw that man into the dungeon for disobeying my order!" he scowled.
"Go get that premature pup now! If she refuses, drag her here!" he added.
Alexander spotted Lyra as she stepped out of the car with Jack. He smiled as he sat in his chair, adjusted his clothes, and went to his guest room."Good afternoon, Alpha," Donald bowed.Alexander remained silent in response to his greetings. His brows furrowed, and his face turned fiery red. He then turned to Jack."Why is he still here?""Erm... I thought it was unnecessary," Jack stuttered.Alexander didn't flinch but smirked."It seems someone is incompetent. You now disobey my orders and do your own thing, huh?""No, sir!" Jack growled pleading but Alexander wasn't accepting his apology. He turned and fixed his gaze on Donald."Why did you choose to defy my orders?" "I'm sorry. Forgive me, my lord," Donald begged as he trembled in fear, his hand shaking."You're sorry? You're begging?I don't need any apologies," Alexander scowled."Then what can I offer you, my lord?"Alexander pointed at Lyra and said, "I want her as my slave." Lyra's eyes widened in astonishment. She prayed it wa
Lyra stood there, nervous and happy at the same time. Her hands started shaking and she giggled, quickening her breath. She stayed still, observing Alexander sip his drink bit by bit."Prepare to talk me to sleep," Alexander grinned.Lyra stared at him, tasked with putting him to sleep. She stuttered, "Y-Y-Yes, my lord."Alexander finished his drink just as Jack walked inside, his face red as he clenched his fists in anger. He drew Alexander's attention, who turned to him swiftly staring into Jack's eye's he asked. "What happened?""My-my-lord, he didn't make it," Jack stuttered.Alexander's mood changed immediately. His eyes darkened, and he had a fiery look in them. He was both angry and heartbroken."What happened?" he growled. Alexander clenched his fists and looked down through the veranda of his palace; he still couldn't believe Lyra was gone. He paced back and forth in the sitting room as if he were about to lose control. The sound of the door snapped him back to the present, and he turned his gaze to it."Sir," Jack said slowly, knowing how angered Alexander was. "You've got some visitors who want to see you; they said it's really urgent," he added."Do they have anything to do with Lyra?" He turned to him swiftly, hoping for a positive response, but Jack shook his head disapprovingly."Sir, it has to do with the pack," Jack said slowly as he watched his master seethe silently. Alexander waved at Jack, who promptly left, knowing his master wasn't in the right state of mind to attend to any visitors.Alexander sat on the plush couch in his private chambers, and memories of Lyra began to flood back. Lyra felt her heart race, and her palms began to sweat profusely. "Preg… What?" "You can go, but you need to see me in my office," the doctor said with a soft smile, and Lyra followed her, counting her steps like a lost sheep. She entered the office, which was well-furnished with plush couches scattered around. The doctor had impeccable taste, but that was the least of Lyra's concerns. She chided herself, realizing that she was pregnant with Alexander's pup."Have a seat, Miss," the doctor pointed to one of the pink plush couches across from Lyra. She settled in but remained lost in her thoughts."I'm Scarlet," the doctor introduced herself, extending her hand for a handshake, but Lyra ignored it."I know you're going through a lot right now, but you need to stay strong for your pup. You could have been dead by now if not for the man who brought you in here at the last moment," Scarlet explained in a serious tone, though Lyra scowled. She wished the doctor would hurry her words along
A few hours later, they arrived at Scarlet's house. Lyra trudged along, following Scarlet closely, the weight of fatigue settling over her. Her eyes were heavy and red, evidence of her exhaustion. Yawns escaped her, showing just how tired she was. When Lyra finally entered the house, she sank into one of the plush couches near her. She took in the opulence of Scarlet's apartment: the pink plush couches, similar to the one in her office, suggesting a Scarlet's penchant for pink; the beautiful chandeliers and magnificent lights that illuminated the space. Scarlet had an impeccable taste."Have some," Scarlet offered, placing a steaming cup of coffee on the table in front of Lyra. Lyra stared at it for a moment, her reflection of her shattered life visible in the cup. Eventually, she reached for it, took a sip, and placed it back on the table. She wasn't in the mood for coffee."You need it to calm your nerves," Scarlet urged urgently, as if begging. Lyra remained still, staring blankly
