Chapter 81: “Miss, are you okay?”

I think my face had permanently colored red.

After what Cain had done yesterday the few people that were in the library had all sealed their mouths shut thanks to Cain but they still knew about it and every time any one of them passed by me they would give me a knowing smile.

Even now as I am walking through the corridor of the hospital I can feel eyes on me from a young girl who is standing by the helpdesk with her grandmother. Turning back to glance at her our eyes meet and I find her color an equal shade of embarrassment as mine.

Moving my gaze away from her I speed walk to my destination trying to forget about the thoughts that are making me feel weak in my knees again.

‘Don’t go to the hospital Asa, please,’ Cain’s voice suddenly rang in my head making me scared for a second as I stopped in my path.

‘How did you kn-?’ I started to ask but stopped mid-sentence knowing well enough that it was no use asking that question any longer. He seemed to have figured me inside ou
