RIONA'S POV

I walked back to the packhouse in ungraceful, staggered steps. The side of my ribs throbbed with pain from the fall, and constant hits I'd been subjected to.

Elara was all but satisfied, as I made my way to my quarters, in the basement. My wolf growled. ‘You’ve got to be kidding me, Riona. Are you seriously not going to get the hell out of this damn pack! Girl, you were almost raped by those bastards.’

I winced in pain, “Elara, you are meant to stay a secret. I'll be fine, and I was lucky nothing happened to me. Stepmother was there to save me.” I managed.

Elara winced. ‘Talk about the devil herself. You and I know she still blames you for the death of her children. She wouldn't hesitate to throw you off a cliff!’

I reached for the tote bag lying by the side of my bed. It served as my wardrobe, the tote bag was filled with hand-me-downs, passed by Luna Stacy. She was kind enough to cover my nakedness, that counted for something right?

I pulled out a flora gown that had some patches, it was the nicest cloth I had. I laid it down on my mattress, then headed into my makeshift bathroom and had a quick shower with freezing water. For once, I was actually grateful, it would help with my fever.

After washing up, I slipped into my dress and tied my arm with a thick cloth to keep the bone in place. Then, I headed straight to the office. My head throbbed with a frustrating headache.

I made my way through the entrance of the main house, which smelled of Jasmine and eucalyptus. The mansion held fond memories of my childhood, which I held dear to my heart. I walked through the maze in the hallway. And, my heart sank to the pit of my stomach when I noticed my mother's portrait was taken out and replaced with Luna Stacy's.

“See, I told you. They don't want you here, they don't even care about you.”

“Learn your place, and don't try to draw father's attention to you,” I responded to her, blocked her out then knocked on the door.

“Come in.” A deep baritone voice responded behind the thick oak door. I drew in a long breath, then walked into the office.

His face lit up briefly, and my heart fluttered with warmth. The happiness in his face melted as fast as it had appeared. “Sit.” his voice was a command.

I nodded, and started toward the chair opposite his desk when a strong, masculine scent wafted through my nose. I froze in my tracks.

I whipped my head sideways, and my lips fell apart when I took in the intimidating figure, standing at the corner of the room.

Chiselled jaw. Sleek black hair well styled to suit his stoic face. His sterling gray eyes, devoid of the slightest bit of emotion— cold and distant. Gosh! My eyes took in his broad shoulders that filled in the black shirt that hugged his honed muscles in a way that made my stomach flutter with a strange need.

His eyes narrowed, searching mine, and I quickly looked away. Expensive masculine scent rushed into my nose, twisting my insides of its oxygen supply.

It wasn't just about his devastatingly handsome face. The stranger's aura filled the atmosphere, without breaking a sweat. And from the scowl that creased his face, he didn't give a flip.

Elara whined inside of me, sniffing his scent. In that instant, she became uneasy, twirling and grounding her fangs. The more I tried to push her back, the harder it became for me.

There was something about this stranger that threw her off balance. Another jolt of pain spiraled through my spine, when my wolf sensed. his wolf at the surface.

Heck! I bit down on my lower lips to put her in a mindlock. I couldn't risk Elara being seen by anyone. To the world, she never existed.

My father cleared his throat, and said almost immediately. “Alpha Theron, we're honored to have you in our noble pack—”

Alpha Theron. Alpha Theron Moretti.

That name sounded so familiar. I tried to rack my brain trying to click the puzzles into place when he made a tsk sound. The sound was so sleek, yet so commanding, it made the air around the room stand still.

He pushed himself from the wall. Scratch what I said about his physical appearance. Alpha Theron, wasn't the conventional kind of beauty a man should possess. He was…he was… nothing like I've ever set my eyes on.

Alpha Theron's presence made me feel equal parts chills, and equal parts warmth. However, the feelings snapped when he looked around my father's fairly spacious office, and shook his head, the scowl on his face replaced with disgust.

“You and I know there's nothing noble about this pack. I could burn it to ashes in a sec.”

Father bowed his head. “Yes–yes sir. You-you…” he stuttered as his voice trailed off. I whipped my head in the direction of my father, and I could see the fear on his face.

Alpha Theron scoffed. “Save me the stress of coming here, or I might be forced to make you and your entire subordinates my captives for the rest of your lives.” The confident undertone in his thick voice, sent fear trickling through my veins.

In that second, the puzzles pieced together. Alpha Theron, the young, brutal, and power-obsessed Alpha who ruled his pack– Silverfang, with an iron fist. The other packs around the province cowered at his very presence.

Rumors had it that he killed his own parents. What was he doing here? What deal did he cut with my father? I'd barely wrapped my head around it, when father spoke.

“Come here!” Father ordered me. “Here, take her and do whatever you wish with her. From now on, she's your slave.”

A loud bang sounded in my head, blurring my thoughts. My own father sold me out to a ruthless Alpha? Betrayal, and one other emotion I didn't have a name for hit me like a ton of bricks.

My wolf broke out from the mindlock, and my eyes turned black. I let out a groan, and pushed her right back. She retreated when she picked up on something strange.

‘Fuck you jerk!’ She cussed.

Alpha Theron Moretti, was my mate.

He hissed. “You've got to be kidding me. Look at this. She wouldn't even last a day working in my mansion.” his tone was cold.

Suddenly, a low growl rattled his chest, I looked up and our eyes locked. His scowl on his face melted for a quick second, I blinked and it was gone.

He knew it. He felt the mate bond between us. I nodded past the haze that gathered in my mind.

“I'll pack my bags, and go with you, Alpha.” Finally, I was going to give in to the voice in my head that wanted better for myself.

I was going to slip out of the car during the journey. My freedom was on the other side of this turmoil my father sold me into.

THERON'S POV I trudged behind her as she walked in unsteady steps towards the car. Anger simmered in my chest. What the hell was wrong with the Shadowmoon pack? They never got anything right even if they tried their hardest.Vuk, my wolf hissed. ‘You bastard! Freaking loser, all you know how to do is hide under the pretense of being a stuck-up Alpha. Being kind to your fated mate shouldn't be such a big deal. Is it?’I let out a low growl from the corner of my lips. ‘One more word about this Vuk, and I would throw you in a freaking mindlock.’ I threatened.Vuk was acting out of character. Yep. He could be a handful half the time, but nothing too nerve-wracking.Well, I was this close, this close, to taking my words back. He changed twenty minutes ago. Since, we set eyes on this fragile, delicate thing.Vuk snapped. ‘I don't tolerate people speaking ill of my mate, even my human.’ he warned. My jaw clenched. There was no such thing as a mate bond. RIONA'S POV A small groan erupted from the corner of my lips. My head was hazy with a terrible headache that banged at the base of my skull. Another groan erupted from my lips, when I made to crack my eyes open.Ouch! That hurts. Slowly, I clutched my fist around the edge of the soft bed I was laid on and pried my eyes open. For Pete's sake! The room was just about the size of my room in the attic, except for the smell of eucalyptus that serenaded the entire room.I managed to sit up on the bed, as I took in the entire features of the room. The walls were painted white, but the strain of aging had faded the painting, to a dull white.Brown tiles spread across the length of the room, chipped at the corners. This wasn't my attic, matter of fact, this place felt strange. I looked around, my head spinning with a thousand thoughts. The headache blossomed into a full-blown migraine, as the pieces of the puzzle struggled to come together in my head.Just then, I zoned out, to mindlink with m

THERON'S POV. Vuk stirred cursing at me for the umpteenth time that morning. A surge of adrenaline, pumped through my blood vessels. My eyes remained fixed on the nape of her neck, boring deep holes into the delicate skin.Riona had just given off the indication that she was my mate. I cleared my throat, to suppress the strange emotion that fluttered in my chest. “The wounds should heal in two days max.” A streak of disgust flared in my chest at my casual tone. She slowly nodded, avoiding my gaze. Vuk scratched and gritted his fangs inside of me. After a beat of hesitation, I caved in and covered the small distance between us.I crouched down a little, so our heads were at the same level. I scoffed, mad at the tension that tightened my chest. My brows came together in a deep frown. “The next time you try to escape, I will put you in my private cell.” My tone was curt.Riona flinched. Batting her eyes. She nodded frantically silent most of the time. I snorted. Damnit! Damnit! Why does

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    LETHAL MATE

RIONA'S POV This was my price to pay for the freedom I sought. With each step I took farther away from the Silverfang pack, the snow grew heavier hitting against my skin. I'd not prepared enough for this journey of escape with the little resource available to me. My feet were frozen from the piles of snow I'd had to drag them through. I didn't need to see them, to know my feet were covered with frostbite. I hugged myself, shielding half my body, which was bare from the cold as much as I could. A cold shiver skittered through my spine, causing my teeth to ground against each other. However, my wolf, Elara nudged Ms on. ‘Just a little while, and we'll be there. Keep going.’ She whined. At first, Elara had been drawn to the charisma that dripped from her fated mate. But when she picked up on whom he truly was, she frowned at his attitude. ‘I could take over, if that would make it easier.’ She offered, clawing and scratching to come to the surface. RIONA'S POV Time stopped. And I could've sworn with everything I have, I saw lightning bolts splintered out of Alpha Theron's head. He grinded his teeth, infusing a deep sense of fear to my very core. Still, I managed to keep a straight face, despite the fear that spiralled through me. I couldn't let myself drown in the claws of fear. Especially not in the presence of this man, staring down on me with a cold gaze, and his subordinates, pacing the length of the open space. He tightened his grip around my hand, in a way that made the area with the most impact, flare with pain. I held back a groan that threatened to spill from the corner of my lips. “Please…let go. You're hurting me.” I pleaded. Much to my surprise, my voice came out shaky. One. Two. Three. Three beats passed, and he hesitantly let go. I collapsed to the ground. My veins trickled with equal parts apprehension, and equal parts relief. Alpha Theron, snarled. “Try that nonsense one more time, and I will scribble your n

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    BREAKING BOUNDARIES

RIONA'S POV The Cadillac pulled in the garage, and Kanesha did the honours of holding the door, and dragging me out of the car, in the guise of ‘helping me out’ quote on quote. It was a great disservice to Elara, who was still seething with displeasure. Theron rounded the car, and covered the distance between Kanesha and me. His face, still red from the impact of my wolf's claws. I concealed a smirk that threatened to break out of the corner of my lips. “What do I do with her…Sir?” The reluctance in her voice was all the confirmation I needed to know she had a sensual attraction towards Theron. He sneered. “Better hold your horses Neesha. If a hair on her body gets hurt,” his face blanched at the amount of sensual tension that coated the word ‘body’. Something about the way he said it, made my skin tingle with strange excitement. Thankfully, it snapped the instant he spoke again. “You would spend the entire winter at the river.” She hesitated, then gave him a stiff bow. “Like I

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    BLURRED VISION

RIONA'S POV Fatigue settled in my bones, I was so close to having fits of exhaustion. I winced in pain, and curled my legs close to my chest. The injuries inflicted on my body still ached. “Try not to be a nuisance, and maybe, just maybe I would reconsider my rules,” Her words dripped with sarcasm. She clapped her hands, and the door cracked open with a deafening scraping sound, that made me cause under my breath. A hefty six foot male, dressed in a black jacket, and a matching mask with the image of a skull drawn on it, stomped in. He bowed with a grunt. “Rocky, we have a new guest here. No harm comes to her—” she stopped mid-sentence, then continued in the same breath. “Alpha Theron's rule.” Rocky's eyes widened, and returned to normal. He pulled down his mask, revealing a wrinkled goatee, lining his mouth. “Yes ma!” His shoulders went stiff, I could literally see through the way his muscles bunched at Alpha Theron's name. Kanesha looked down at her wristwatch. “When is the ne

RIONA'S POV It's been days since I was shoved out of natural light in this dark torturing cell. Elara was acting weirdly. She'd snap her head out, and slip back in. It was getting scary. In the dead of the night, I'd allow her to surface a bit, and suppress her at the faintest sound of approaching footsteps. My entire body ached, like hot coal was shoved into my joints. My injuries were slowly healing; I wasn't given the luxury of getting attended to by the pack doctors. Moreso, Kanesha saw to it that my food was poorly made. Each day, I looked forward to clumped spaghetti, or mashed potatoes with fingerlings. I curled to the corner of the room, covered with the blanket that shielded me from the harsh cold. Even through the confines I could feel the weather build up. It got chilly, making me even more sick. Using Elara’s powers to help myself was like shoving her in the face of her enemies. I had to escape, live this pack for good this time. Who knows, the next time I'd appear i

AMARA'S POV “This is the lobby which leads to the Alpha's territory,” one of the gamma said, as he pointed at an open space. I nodded, and didn't say a single word. It's been a few weeks since I came to the Silverfang pack. My injuries had healed completely. And, my wolf Elara was more than stable, strong even. Alpha Theron had lessen my home imprisonment. Now, I could take long walks through the pack. Whilst fighting Elara from coming to the surface. “We should go outside ma'am,” the man said in a polite tone. I gave him a wary smile. “Oh yeah. We totally should,” I paused. My heart heavy with unspoken words. He led the way, as we passed through Alpha Theron's chambers. I strained my ears, hoping to pick the strangest sound. But the thick aluminum door, muffled out the voice. I'd picked the scent of the Beta from my pack. My mind raced with a thousand questions. What does he want? Why was he here in the first place. My throat itched with an urgent need to query the warrior, bu

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    LETTING OFF

THERON'S POVI stomped to my car and drove off, my clutch, hard on the gas. Waves of embarrassment gilded through my veins, as I made my way back to the condo. Fuck all of these! I had another game to prepare for. After my team lost to Carlos school in the last game, I’d hated myself these past week. The incident that happened at the victim's ward made it worse.No. I wasn't mad that I had to pay one of the enforcers a visit. For what it's worth, she was injured while trying to protect the legacy of the school. My anger was directed to Roman. He lived life on his own terms and was selfish while at it. If he had a tinge of decency, perhaps we wouldn't have to go through this. The victim's guardian had all the right to decline our entry. I slowed down and brought the car to a halt in the garage, scrambled out when either of my brother's pulled up right behind me. Sparing whoever it was no glance, I made a beeline for the entrance of the door. I was going to be fine. My wolf was fumi

THERON'S POV “Are you going to remain standing with your back turned to face me?” Father's voice seethed with pain. My lips pursed. “Why'd you do it?” I questioned, ignoring his request. “Do what?” I turned to face him, my eyes narrowed with fury. “You know exactly what I'm talking about.” “You were there, you saw his everything played out—”“Stop with the pretense, father! If you didn't give them your approval they wouldn't go ahead with it in the first place,” the veins in my hand budged with each word I spoke. He removed his glasses, and placed them on the hard glass table. “Rylan, the people of Oakville pack, can't trust their life and security in the hands of someone who is fleeting.” “I am not a fleeting Lycan King—”“Then quit your hockey career, and face something more reasonably for once. What has come over you?” He asked. “We went with the best option for our pack, deal with it.” I scoffed. “So I'm not good enough?” “You have to prove it.” His tone was emotionless.

THERON'S POV “Your father would send for you shortly,” one of the gammas said, the minute he sighted me a few blocks away from the King's in-house council chambers. It was a place where the King met with other pack Alphas, and even the pack elders. Before I left, I made sure the Chefs and the other gammas that attended to me, ensured Amara came down for lunch. Still, a foreboding prickled the nerves in my body. I gave him a nod, and stood by the side of the door. The man walked into the council chambers, and came out a few minutes later, “You can go in now, Sir. Sorry for the inconveniences.” He held the door open till I stepped into the room. “Look who came to grace our presence today,” A familiar masculine tone chipped, as I sauntered further into the room. My eyes hovered all over the room, and landed on Zain who had a tough time masking the scorn that threatened to break out on his features. It was a funny sight to behold. Still, I held myself together. I wasn't about to make

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    WOUNDED

THERON'S POV I was a jerk. A total jerk for first being a bully to my fated now. And even worse one for kissing her, at her vulnerable state. Fuck me for that. But, the streak of guilt fizzled out just before it had the opportunity to blossom. At first, she'd been out of breath, but I couldn't let myself get away from her. Some minutes later, I dragged my lips away from her, much to my chagrin. Something wweird blossomed in my chest, in a way that appealed a nerve in me, I thought no one could ever reach. The bottom of Ella's lips trembled, her chest heaved up and down like she wasn't used to this. I reached for her hair, sleek with sweat and tugged it behind her ears. Her cheeks were flushed. “I'm—” my voice faltered mid-sentence, when I figured I would mess everything up if I said I didn't feel bad for kissing her. My wolf stirred inside of me, excited and giddy. The mate bond might be broken, but he still wanted her. No, he needed her and he needed her badly. Ella snapped he

RIONA'S POV The walk out of the pack, to the garage was nerve-wracking. My chest churned with a thousand splinting thoughts. For goodness sake! How did I miss it? How come my so-called Volana wolf didn't sense there was something wrong. I stirred on the seat, trying to reach out to her, to feel her presence. But she'd secluded herself in the deepest place of my mind. My lips straightened into a thin line. My eyes were swollen from the sting of tears that had flooded down my cheeks. My world was gone. I bunched, snapping back to real life when I felt a hand curl around my shoulder. I snapped my head to the side, and my eyes fell directly on Christopher's eyes. Those magnetic eyes held a thousand words that he was willing to let out of his mouth. Without saying a word, he nudged me into the car. I stiffened at first, a tad bit reluctant to go into the car. If I did, that would mean depriving myself of the closure from my mom's death. I opened my mouth to speak, instead tears rushed

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    DUNGEON

THERON'S POV Anger simmered in my veins, as I waited for her in my office. First, I harbour her in and hold myself back from acting on my emotions. And now what? She calls the shot? I tapped my fingers angrily against the table. My eyes fixed solely on the wall clock as it ticked. Two more minutes. Two more minutes, until I lose it all on her. Suddenly, a shrill knock sounded against the door. I stiffened on my chair, and rested my back against the headrest. I waited. The door pushed open, and she walked in. I rubbed my hand against the bridge of my nose. Her sensual scent ripped through my core, leaving a whirlwind of tornadoes swirling through my core. My hands curled into a fist. “Where have you been?” My words were calm, if her gaze wasn't boring a deep hole in my chest, she might miss the outburst that was about to erupt. No response. I stomped my hands against the table, rounded it and walked up to her. “I just asked you a goddamn question!” My tone seethed with defiance.

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    LURKING

RIONA'S POV The minute he pushed the door open, I clamped my eyes shut. My eyes were devoid of sleep. His presence awakened a delicate nerve in me I didn't know needed awakening. All my life, I'd been living in a facade of what I thought was mine. My mother had died during my birth. And nobody talked about her true identity. The Silver Moon pack was known for their incredible strength. It was a rare abilities that could only be possessed by them. And now? My birth mother was a part of that clan. What more didn't I know about myself? Shifting into my wolf form as thirteen was enough strange occurrence. But this was nothing like I'd envisioned. In school, we were taught sparsely about them. I’d been so enthralled about their very existence. Their show of strength. Still, I bet I didn't prepare myself enough for this odd plot twist. My intestines churned, and bile sloshed in my stomach. That meant…Suddenly, my entire insides froze, and my thoughts jumbled up. I felt Alpha Theron's

  • Fated To The Ruthless Alpha    DISTURBED

THERON'S POV Riona's eyebrows furrowed into a deep frown. “Wh-wh-what—” she stuttered as her voice trailed off. I pulled at a strand of her hair, and she shoved my hands aside. I grunted in sheer disapproval. If there was something I loathed, that would be blatant protest. Especially from a female that was at loss for her own identity. Anger ripped through my spine. I was equal parts infuriated, and equal parts fascinated. Fascinated at her courage to sneak into my study unnoticed. How'd she bypass the warriors to start with? How'd she get her hands on the journal? Did she have someone telling her about her identity? So many questions rummaged through me. I swear by the moon goddess, I was going to find the culprit if there was anyone feeding her some sensitive information. “Can I go now?” She spat, when she finally found her tongue. Surprise flickered through my core, but I pushed it to the farthest back of my mind, and locked it off. “Riona, you have no say in this pack house—
