The tranquil, balmy wind made the hectic day a little more alive meshed with some extra frustration as no one knows why the sun is so indignant.
The clock struck noon, parents were panicking with a wrinkled face and sweaty shirts striving their best to reach on time fulfilling the crazy Monday duties, to pick their infants.
Hot, dazzling sunlight start reflecting through the small glass window with tiny faded colour paper hearts on it, in a room full of clutter.
A peachy smell wavered around the house except that one room which felt vacant, strangled and a lot quiet than before. It was now locked for forever till Jin-Ae dare to look back and embrace the change and the fact that life goes on.
Jin-Ae sat down groaning loud enough to tell that she was weak and frustrated.
Muffin, Bichon Frise a cheerful small white dog woofed at Jin-Ae to get her attention. She grinned at him and peered at the mess she made.
"If Dad looked at this mess, he would have gallop behind me with specula in his hand." She took another tired sigh and sided the packed bags to the right side of the bed.
Muffin creaked at her, showing his cute glossy black puppy eyes to tell her that he want cuddles.
The black round eyes with his fluffy white-coated tail wiggling here and there in excitement made Jin-Ae chuckle as she petted his neck to reassure him that they'll go to sleep soon.
She huddled all the dark, empty and shiny coffee cups from the side table which she had while doing work, stupidly thinking of it as a possibility to get drunk, then went to the kitchen putting away all of them in the sink, whilst Muffin followed her.
She came back to her glamorous yet so philosophical room, which must be an ideology with it's meaningful notion, theory and a lot of thoughts that swam in her mind, from the time she gained consciousness.
Her room felt so distinct, at the same time it was the most significant part of the house.
Muffled brown sheets with pale white curtains, romantic yet sad poems affixed on a greyish brown wall with caramel black frames. Scratches behind the door that she never tries to fix with that matte green blanket is placed for the Muffin in the corner.
A closet, full of murky brown, intense red, navy blues pants, blazers, polo, turtlenecks and baggy sweatshirts. Green plants on her shelves with old and fresh novels, singing complicated facts and cold sentimental pickup lines drenched with life sermons.
Dim lustrous fairy lights on the wall covered a huge crescent white moon painted with metallic chocolate brown and white colour whereas, some small polaroids were glued on the right side of the full-size mirror.
Her dad always used to sit down in her room and tried to comprehend her thoughts when she was gone.
Jin-Ae adjusted the well-wisher when her sight caught something. A baby pink shirt hid behind the drawer.
"That's not mine", she thought as she made her eyes small to remember.
She bent down and unravel the shirt as it was tangled with a screw.
"Oh, dad's t-shirt." She recognised it as soon as she saw a SpongeBob on it.
In no time, her eyes became glossy.
"I miss him." She whimpered like a baby with that baby pink shirt that still smelt like her dad, in her hands till she fell asleep.
3 days before the flight,
Jin- Ae and Min-Jae were having a movie marathon together at her home.
Popcorns excitedly jumped out as heat poked them with a giggly smile.
"Ahh, it's ready", Jin-Ae bounced up and down as she reached the oven to switch it off.
Muffin was dozing off in her room on his blanket as he eventually felt that he won't be getting her attention anymore.
She hopped again but now to the dining table singing her favourite song, spring day, not to miss anything.
"Dark chocolates, done"
"Ranch pizza, donee"
"Ice coffee, done"
"Cheddar cheese fries, done"
"And oh, the jellies, donee", Jin-Ae shouted out loud that the sleeping eagle on her balcony and Muffin got scared.
"I'm all ready for the movie night, now I just need to change into comfy night suit." she jogged towards her room as she spoke to herself.
Jin-Ae took out her pink-brown nightwear with cute teddy bears on it and changed into it.
She looked into the mirror as she scanned herself from head to toe.
The nightwear was explaining her curves very well, she looked sexy but a cute naive girl who's overly thrilled in love at the same time but then, unfortunately, she got a short flashback of her in the pearl dress she was wearing, which sent her back to the night she relinquished everything.
The happiness skidded off as it'd never existed.
Sadly, the depression showed up again.
Minor waves of sadness with no appetite, irregular sleeping patterns with sudden procrastination and no motivation.
Undiagnosed Jin-Ae started to look for muffin to ease her mind, then realising that he's sleeping.
However, a small, fragile spiral of beep hit her and took her back to reality.
"Min-Jae's here," she thought as she saw his car from her secret window.
Her heart whumped loudly as she began to play with her hair ends, twirling it in circles.
She wanted to confess the butterflies, the time she distresses for him, the number of times she peeks at her phone for his text only but she was frightened to lose him.
The toxic idea of guys confessing first was stopping her and what if he said no. She'll renounce someone who she looks up to a lot.
"Hey! What's up?" Min-Jae said as he entered the house with some tacos packed in a box.
Min-Jae had the keys as she gave him for emergencies and for when she'll left as he proposed that he'll take care of the house, Jin-Ae couldn't help but be happy as she was anxious about her dad's belongings to be ruined or robbed.
Jin-Ae's eyes scanned him from his frizzed hair to his brown shoes with heart eyes deliberately.
A 'Woah' left her mouth but thus, she zipped it.
He was looking handsome more like a chestnut as he dressed brown, more casual with a little spice of formal strokes.
His hair and eyes were giving off the shade of dark roasted beans in dim yellowish light, he had a smirky smile on his face while the curvy strands of his hair were all over his forehead.
He looked slim and exhausted, even so, the way his clothes hung on him gave away the muscles beneath a strong and an elegant look; God! He looked so sexy.
Jin-Ae could see Min-Jae act cold and arrogant branched out into all his plays but he was a lot different in front of her.
He was more soft laced with a giggly vibe. He was a good listener, has heart of gold, little emotional blended with intelligence, mature emotions and calmness but most of the time, he kept quiet, nevertheless not like the painful shyness, who notes everything with a fierce, dusk stare.
He snapped in front of her face causing her gulpe her breath.
She looked down and then, looked up which was possibly the wrong thing she did at that time.
Her eyes locked with him as if he was waving a gun at her, she couldn't stop gazing into his deep honey eyes.
He blinked several times and cleared his throat to get her attention.
"Ahh, nothing! You bought tacos?" Jin-Ae asked with her brows furrowed as she came out of her in-love daydreams.
"What movies we are watching today?" Min-Jae asked Jin-Ae as he cleaned a tear on her face with his delicate, strong thumb.
"Did you cry? Do you still cry? You lied to me?"
He solicited Jin-Ae who acted surprised and fascinated to see tacos, whereas she was hiding her wounds that would never heal, however for as how everyone knows she'll get used to it.
She shook her head in no to let the uncertainty calm down in between them.
Min-Jae stared at her for a while, he then unhurriedly went near the kitchen while tiptoeing to make it as quiet as possible as he can.
He made a phone call.
"Everything's ready?"
"Yeah, I'm here."
"I want everything to be perfect, a single mistake can ruin everything. She has no idea what's coming her way, haha."
He laughed evilly and disconnected the phone call.
Jin-Ae clapped her hands in excitement and went to the kitchen looking for plates. "Oh, what are you doing here? I speculated you went to start a movie" Jin-Ae inquired, furrowing her eyebrows as she entered the lavender-scented kitchen and opened the cabinets to find the plates. "Ahh, Nothing! I'm... I'm thirsty." He hastily mumbled while scratching his neck and peeking everywhere but her. Jin-Ae got absorbed into the moment as she was trying not to make any noise and wake muffin up. He rashly came out of the kitchen and sighed loudly. "I almost got caught" he grumbled to himself as he took some popcorns in his hand and settled down on the couch. "Here, water! Why did you run out like that? I'm not gonna eat you." Min-Jae opened his eyes wide, to which Jin-Ae grinned at his silliness. Jin-Ae was glaring at him, taking up all the remaining time to memorize his every little detail so she doe
Jin-Ae tried to sense the oddness in the air. She dropped her head and sighed deeply to settle down her anxious thoughts and blinked twice to inspect, what if she miraculously see something. Soon, mild earthy smell mixed with a sense of delicacy and softness hit her. Jin-Ae got goosebumps as this was her dad's favourite, the daisies and forget-me-not flowers. Jin-Ae took long deep breathes, taking in all of the smell, apropos of she never knows when she'll be able to this smell again, when two hands helped her remove the blindfold, slowly. She got startled and felt something different. Her heart thudded loudly as if it would shred out of her chest right away anytime soon. Slowly and deliberately, the darkness faded away, she opened her eyes. It took her a moment to adapt her eyes to the warm lighting of the cosy room. Her eyes focused solely on the woman shoes which were there in front of her. Everything els
The phone rang."🎶Imagine your faceSay hello to me'Til all the bad daysThey're nothing to meWith you🎶" (Winter bear by Kim Taehyung)Min-Jae picked up the phone call simultaneously as he adjusted his Rolex watch on his wrist."yeoboseyo," Min-Jae mumbled and swirled his eyes which was filled with desperateness for someone. An old woman retorted back from the other end of the phone."I don't have any time for the hellos.Min-Jae made a revolted face as he strolled towards a quiet place. When? Jin-Ae is departing from Korea?" A cunning voice implored.Min-Jae paused a little, then responded, "She'll be leaving in 3 days."She sighed dramatically and asserted, "Oh My God! You're so slow. I should have asked someone else." She ridiculed him, considering that Min-Jae could sense her smirking evilly on the other end. Moreover, I heard you're proposing to her?" Min-Jae was about to whisp
Suddenly, the car stopped, they flitted forward as the driver pulled the brake. Shortly after, the car was replenished with scary silence and strange stares. Little small junctures that felt like an eternity soon got over. The driver nudged the curtain that was attached between the passenger and driver's seat. Oh to be the Celebrity's type of car it was. Jin-Ae finally gathered her nervous self and implored. "Where are we?", Jin-Ae glared at the cameraman for answers with her narrowed brows, who again gave her, his signature smirk. He then, rolled his eyes as they wandered back to the driver. The cameraman gestured to the driver. The driver immediately reflexed to the signal and unlocked the doors. Jin-Ae was mystified and kept staring at the cameraman with dozens of concerns in her mind. She was trickling. In a blink of an eye, she heard footsteps from the outside. Gradually, the deliberate and small fo
Jin-Ae stared into his eyes and cupped his face gently in her palms as her stomach commenced to ravage inside. She was about to mumble something but abruptly, she felt nauseous. She instantly covered her mouth with her hands to avoid any type of mess. In a blink of an eye, Min-Jae got startled like a little child as soon as he caught a glimpse of it. He quickly inquired as he pulled her by her waist, a lot more closer to him, "Are you okay?" He was quivering with concern and worry whereas, Jin-Ae got warm from embarrassment. "Uhm- yes!", Jin-Ae somehow managed to respond to him, looked down and grinned like an idiot. Min-Jae could be a tot too? Who knew. It wasn't until Min-Jae could grasp her smirking, he then, cleared his throat and stood up straight like a gentleman he is as he adjusted his coat. He told Jin-Ae to sat down on the mat and tried to soothe her down with his all-time cold face. He instructed the camerama
Five years later, Every individual hopped onto something new. Seoul was not the same anymore. New gossips, never heeded music bands, new chanting crowds, baffled yet energetic teens, unemployed heartbroken wanderers, new crime, iPhones and fashion. However, there was still something that didn't alter at all. A heart that truly loved Jin-Ae whilst striving his best to endure in the same world that's always tormented with the sad sensibilities and resentments. When the sun woke up, an aeroplane landed, rerouting the paths of two destined souls. Everyone was occupied, trying to make it to their kind of destination. Air crates landing and taking off at their velocities whilst announcements were made for the passengers. At Incheon International airport, wearing a Burberry long trench coat Jin-Ae hauled the stroller packed with the boxes and bags, above merrily sat a little girl in a white top and a grey designed skirt with loose bla
Viscosity seems to form in the air around her. It's suddenly impossible to breathe because, for whatever reasons, she feared this moment. But, now it was here and she has to untangle the knots that were tied long ago.She has to give him her sincere thoughts. She loved him but a whole lifetime with him terrified her. What girl not fear such a dilemma, a fear that stems and augment due to society and further distress her into what-ifs.What if he doesn't accept your kids after the wedding? What if this impacts your kids in any way?"Please. Jin-Ae tell me.. about when you're ready to talk about this. I've waited for five years. I've missed you, craved you, cried for you, and dreamt of us together." Min-Jae took his heart out in hopes of an answer. An answer that concludes the whole life of an unordinary fairy tale.Jin-Ae glazed at him with blank spaces, sonnets and romantic haikus that were trapped in her chest
Jin-Ae couldn't resist smiling. She closed her eyes, relishing the feeling of his muscular arms, the momentous warmth around her body."I love you too." The three magical words echoed on the shore, drifting away the anxious feelings into the depth of the glistening sea.The gentle air eagerly nudged the clouds to let the moon witness the golden moment.Min-Jae smiled wide after hearing this from Jin-Ae, between each other's lips with hundred words behind them. This moment was so celestial for both of them. Their hearts pounded at a myriad pace. Looking into each other's eyes they both desired for this moment to last as long as it can.Meanwhile, she was cherishing his smile, his cheekbones that beautifully define his features, as they both were centimetres away when a short-lived flicker of light caught their attention."Hey! The falling star", Min-Jae pointed towards it as Jin-Ae followed his veiny arms.Jin-Ae smiled at the glorious sight
Paparazzi, a populace of curious people began invading their privacy. They started capturing their outlook with every big and small digital eye, clicking and twinkling continuous lights on them which eventually resulted in Min-ah and Jae Joon getting scared and startled, they both inattentively hid behind Jin-Ae.Jin-Ae was stunned for a while as she didn't foresee being greeted goodbye like that. She stood straight bolstering her posture with wide-opened eyes as she held her kids tightly with her strong yet weary hands challenging their vicious idea of restraining her privacy. Her heart was thumping loudly, she could feel it lunging so dangerously as it jeopardized the chance of it plummeting out of her chest."Are they going to steal my kids away from me?"The only question that bounced around in her head kept on weakening her confidence whilst it slowly pulled her into this big anxious hole full of suspicions and darkness. "Please save me, please!
The sky shivered to wriggle the remaining blues into grey. The depressing yet happy tears drizzled on the earth dappling the sky with heavy clouds and shimmering silver lining.Whilst, everyone was appreciating nonentity, which is everything, Jin-Ae was standing as her heart sprinted for the figure to reveal herself.Unfortunately, something started irritating her eyes, to avoid the disturbing sensation, she carefully rubbed them but then, the appalling and the most horrendous moment transpired which caused Jin-Ae to snap her eyes wide open.Min-ah began cackling as the woman in hanbok looked pretty and so different from what she looked in front of the cameras. While on the other hand, the gullible Jae Joon was sitting there quietly, with his glossy dark eyes exemplifying the desire to go home as soon as possible.Jin-Ae recognized the woman immediately. Her breath hitched when all the voices in her head started resulting in unwelc
A tall, beautiful girl opened the door with a bright, cheerful gleam on her face, who appeared to be wearing a professional yet comfortable uniform. She greeted Jin-Ae with a big, delicate, and boxy smile. But, that smile wore off in no time when her eyes landed on Jin-Ae's drenched clothes.Jin-Ae shivered as her eyes flickered here and there trying to glare inside the room with that, she passed a small smile to the girl whilst her eyes proceeded to wiggle for her kid's sight."Please, come in ma'am!" The housekeeper mumbled softly, so soft that Jin-Ae's tears that were welled up on the edges, started to stroll down her face."Where are my kids? Who are you? Min-ah. Jae Joon.." Jin-Ae scantily sobbed when she couldn't find her kids."Please, calm down. They're so indulged in the TV right now, maybe they didn't hear you, because a while ago, big giant tears were meandering down their pink cheeks like you, wide written on their faces that they are m
Min-Jae's eyes flickered between the road and the beautiful woman driving beside him, the love of his life. Suddenly the fear of her getting hurt crawled in but then in a blink of an eye, he gradually became scared for his own life."Hey! Slow down. We'll get hurt." Min-Jae muttered and narrowed down his eyebrows in fear, without giving it a second thought.Jin-Ae forthwith gave him a death glare as a retort and then, promptly flailed her gaze to the road, trying her nicest not to tear down the concentration."My kids are lost and all you care about is getting hurt." Jin-Ae let out her frustration in a deep infuriating tone.Jin-Ae's mind was stirring up chaos and troubles, poking her in the ways that made her numb and more impassive, whatnot.Nothing in this small, scorched earth can neither harvest joy nor rehabilitate a soul that motherliness permits. Her kids not only compelled her, became a part of her, encouraged her to grow and heal in
Where are they? What are these pillows like this doing-g here?Where are you? Min-ahHer rumpus pulsated in the room, as her voice cracked in the end when her fear crawled down her throat. Min-Jae froze as his mind went blank, trying to comprehend the situation.Meanwhile, panic scrambled in her blood with her heart thumping in her chest crazily. A dozen of questions ricocheted up and down in her mind whilst she skimmed the room searching her kids with wobbled steps. She unlocked the bathroom door wishing deep in her heart for them to be in there playing with water and splashing it on one another. But she witnessed the cold water from the tap dribbling down on the ridges of the bathtub.Tip-Tip, Tip-Tip.She walked unhurriedly and removed the curtains to make sure, but Min-ah and Jae Joon were nowhere to be found. The conciliatory sound everyone loves started to torment
Flashback of a boy playing in the backyard with all the autumn leaves scattered here and there as a cold whiff swung away a few of them with it.On a loud giggly call, the kid veered around, wearing a dark brown coat which was bold and pretty, made him look like a brown rose with its corollas freshly thrived, on his simple jade black turtleneck and black earmuffs as he jogged towards his heaven, his mom.His bouncy, dusk, silky hair strode in all direction, filtered the moment into a Hollywood one. When shy airy chuckles echoed in the air as the kid jumped on her mom, knowing she'll catch him in one go.The two grinned so big at each other, as their blood rushed to their cheeks giving off a rosy tint, the cute duo looked breathtakingly beautiful.Dark chocolate brown aroma mixed with a lot of coffee beans scent, the kid pointed at the cute little pumpkin, ready to be embellished into a pretty one.The mother snickered looking at
Min-ah held her breath as she scrutinized the situation, putting up with superfluous precautions to not get snagged by the house helper/driver.She knew that they wouldn't permit them to go into a huge crowd as they might get injured. The hysterical enthusiasm and the insight of victory made them feel euphoric as their hearts romped along with the wobbly shine, a faded tremulous or sporadic light in their eyes.A child's intellect, a flame to ignite. It always works without the deliberation of right and wrong. Without contemplating any consequences, Min-ah and Jae Joon fled from the cafe to extrapolate more and experience something new.Little did they know, they were about to unlock a crazy stanza of their existences that might also cause them to tremble, lose their conscience, and the benign lifestyle they were dwelling in.Min-ah and Jae Joon sneakily got out from the different door and luckily they made it out without any dilemmas,
"You look so much like him", Min-ah lunged up, waning her brows as she twirled to get Jae Joon's viewpoint."I'm not sure but what I know is these rice chips are only made for me", Jae Joon muttered with inscrutable terms, licking his fingers, expressing how yummy those were."Hey! Look at him. WOW! This picture is you." Min-ah screeched at Jae Joon to finally get his scrutiny as her honey-brown eyes spurred and ruddy chubby cheeks hoisted in fervour gazing at her twin for a response.Greyish brown eyes diminished glaring at the picture on the TV screen as his ears earned a red hue in amusement."Woahh! That's me.", Jae Joon murmured with an unsettled tone illustrating awe.Something in Woojin was so transcendental and tantalizing that they both got engulfed in the TV screen, wowing at the man who was percolating the cliché of "hot bad boy" with a jaw slenderer than his cheekbones, guided down to his curvaceous lips.Woojin's nose, fa
The creamy silk curtains laced with fancy linen frontiers splashed an orange flicker to the room, eclectic with fairy lights reeked a greenish shade on Min-Jae's face. Felt like a forenoon in ecstasy.Jin-Ae unhurriedly opened her eyes to the adorable chorus of melodic birdsong, drifting in with the cold-warm gust swerves. The view, Min-Jae peacefully slumbering beside her was one of the best things she had ever encountered over the last five years.Resting there for a modicum, she struggled to get out of his hold, as they both slept hugging each other, admiring the warmth and adoring it to the fullest, fulfilling the missed eternities.Jin-Ae finally got out of his clasp and next, headed to the window unfurling her hands to entice her body, smiling when flashbacks of last night replayed in her head, celebrating, she then scantily removed the soft curtains and greeted the sun nicely. The dappled sunlight drew mysterious shadows, meantime, Jin-A
