Chapter 24: In the lion's den

A lump formed in my throat at the sight of Austin. The maid gave me a deadly glare before walking out of the room. Austin locked the door with a key and it made my heart race. It made me fear for my own life. It made me wonder why he did that. Did he do that so that nobody can come in when he starts torturing me?
