Chapter 26: I will haunt you

The door squeaked open and Austin's head popped in. I and Sonia turned our heads in his direction and the look on his face had changed. He was no longer wearing that remorseful look on his face anymore and it made me sick to my stomach.

I saw Sonia glaring at him with anger in her eyes and it made me wonder why. Weren't they working together? Why does she look like his sworn enemy?

I retracted my gaze and fixed it on Austin. I tried to read his expression but I couldn't. All I knew was that he had a different expression from the one he had earlier.

" Nora, follow me!" He ordered, his voice icy and I felt chills on my skin.

" Where are you taking her?" Sonia asked, taking I and Austin unaware. I was more shocked because I never expected her to speak up for me.

" I mean she was about to take a nap" Sonia added but deep down I could tell that wasn't what she meant. Why does she have to lie? We were talking and I wasn't planning to nap.

" You should learn how to mind your business slave"
