Chapter 28: I don't care how you do it

Two nurses walked in and helped me out of my clothes. Austin asked Sonia to wait outside and she obeyed without protesting. I felt lonely and helpless. I wanted to throw tantrums but of what use will it be?

The person I trusted so much to protect me has turned his back on me. He had transformed from an angel into a demon overnight. If there was a reason I wanted to live before, it was for my child but now that he wouldn't make it out alive, now that he wouldn't get to see this wicked world, I have no reason to live anymore. Let me just die in peace with him even if it's going to be a painful one. It's better to be dead than to be around demons who are ready to slay you anytime.

I felt a prickle on the skin of my hand as I lay motionless on the bed.
