Cara got up early in the morning to do her unfinished chores. She already had the intention of searching Priya's room for her pendant. Not quite long after one hell of a work. Laurel was woken up by her, a few minutes after she had done some hectic Job. "I want to sleep some more.' She grunted and reclined back to her bed.
She walked hurriedly to Priya residence in the name of doing her laundry.
She knocked on her door but got no response from the inside. "Where could she have gone this morning?" She wondered.
The sun was just setting up when Cara got to Priya's apartment. She looked around her and tiptoed to and fro in search of anyone coming. "I guess this is the right time." she exclaimed feeling a sense of accomplishment.
The door creaked open as she pressed her hand against it gently and closed it behind her again the moment she got inside. She searched the whole room for the pendant, moving from one spot to another. "What is this, is this not Priya's gold chain... how come." She looked expressionless with what she found, Priya's claimed to be lost gold chain wrapped in a parcel and hidden in a box under the bed.
"I had a guess about this already... I knew it." She felt infuriated, knowing that Priya accused her falsely. "But where's mine." She whispered as she couldn't find her own bracelet. She stood on a spot thinking of where to search again.
She suddenly sniffed repeatedly. "This is the scent from last night... it's Ethan, where is it coming from." She peeped through the window to see who was passing by. She decided to follow after the scent of the scent."
On the norms, she shouldn't be seen either caught wandering around the royal residence with being directed to as this might lead her to being punished severely. She walked stealthily, trying to avoid making one hell of a noise with her shoes.
She walked a little bit and soon stopped on the balcony around Betty's residence. She felt stunned by what her eyes caught. "no it can't be... it can't be him... how come he is my mate." She growled, feeling so displeased.
She felt disaffected and displeased by what her eyes saw when she stepped into the balcony. "Why him, this shouldn't be," She said wearily, adjusting herself to turn around and leave the place. She had just caught Ethan and Priya kissing and cuddling with themselves on the balcony.
Cara once had the thought that her mate would be someone that would feel the same way she felt. Allison Bradley had once told her about her father, Collins, who fought to save her when she had no one. Even before they mated, Collins had lavished his love upon her. Her nostalgic recollections made her shed tears that dropped on the ground one at a time.
Cara about to walk away hit her leg on a stick that fell on a steel refuse bin, making a high pitch sound. Priya and Ethan stopped suddenly at the sound of the object they heard and spotted Cara who was already leaving.
"Cara, Cara, wait up, I need to talk to you." He shouted, waving his hands towards Cara's direction. Priya felt disturbed as to what Ethan wanted to say to her. "Why would he call her, is she the next girl he is into," She wondered at the reaction of Ethan after seeing Cara.
Priya had always wanted Ethan's love and tried many times to woo him before she could get this chance with him. She had noticed on the second day of Cara's arrival at the pack how Ethan looked at Cara. "Only one who is in love could stare that way," She would say. That's probably the day Ethan set out for his long awaited adventure and the main reason why she got jealous of Cara.
"I haven't even met him yet, this is the first time I'll be seeing him clearly, how then does he know my name?" She thought to herself.
She turned back and walked slowly towards their direction. Priya left where she stood with Ethan and walked unsteadily towards the entrance of the door under Ethan's directive.
"Remember he is mine... don't try to do anything stupid neither seduce him." Priya warned her as she took her leave.
Ethan stared at Mia for some moment before speaking up. "You felt it too, didn't you... that's why you could come up here... I've known for some time now." He confessed, looking straight into her eyes.
Larry eyed Cara the first day she set his eyes on her and soon got to know that Cara was his mate but never took it to heart because of her low status.
"If you know that I'm your mate, then what are you doing with Priya?" She cut back with a sharp tone.
"Don't tell me that, you're just a low class slave, good for nothing, that's what my father said. what do you expect me to do, what am I going to tell my mother... huh." He retorted back in anger.
"And you are the Future Alpha of this pack, you could have done something... wait, are those your father's thoughts or yours," She said, wearily, almost shedding tears.
Ethan turned his face away from her in silence. Cara soon understood why he did that and stepped back a little bit from him after seeing what he is like. She felt dejected, as his words sounded like a bombshell.
"But we both can still have a thing together... you know what I mean."
"and be your lapdog... someone you sleep with, without any feelings attached." She hurled back at him.
"Then go away, I have nothing to do with you then." He rejected her immediately and she finished with her words.
Cara nodded her head in compliance to his rejection. She was about to take her leave when she stopped and turned back to him. Cara shifted aside and opened the upper part of her dress to reveal the tattoo on the side of her shoulder.
"I've seen this from somewhere. Why is that logo there on your shoulder, who are you," Ethan questioned, expecting a response.
"Through the course of your adventure, you would have heard of the Moonlight pack right...I'm his daughter, Alpha Collins Bradley daughter." She voiced out and rushed out of his sight after her last statement.
"Wait up, Cara, don't go yet, I... I didn't mean," He stammered and stopped when Cara walked out of his sight

One could hear the sounds of wolves growling, dueling with themselves in a joking manner. One might even begin with the smell of the smoke coming from the burning tree. But Ethan did not notice all of these- instead she sat all by himself in the veranda of his apartment in silence, oblivious to the surroundings.
He watched as the birds flew and chirped over his head in the sky. Few hours ago, she had just heard his mate, Cara is not just a slave but one with a royal bloodline.
He threw stones against the tree planted by his mother at his apartment. He felt so outraged. Anyone could tell by the expression on his face.
"How did I miss that... I should have known." He bewailed as he turned into his wolf form reminiscing all he could have done to Cara instead of allowing her to walk away from him just like that.
He stood up and punched the tree in front of him repeatedly as he conversed with his wolf. "what could I have done... She shouldn't have seen me with Priya, she felt so hurt."
"maybe, but you can't just blame yourself." His wolf replied
Ethan regretted his actions towards Cara. He beated himself up, piercing himself with his claws and watched them heal again. The most painful part is the fact that she has Alpha blood running through her veins.
"I have to get her back... I'm the future Alpha, I can do anything I want right."
"Yeah... yeah you can." His wolf hurled back in a soft gentle voice.
Ethan felt belittled by Cara's response and attitude towards him when they met at the balcony. That made him turn against the tree in fury and flips into an intense destructive rage. He smashed the tree with his claws, screaming out Cara's name.
Ethan walked away suddenly and stepped down from the veranda, only for him to see Cara coming his way. He halted on a spot and thought about what to do to her the moment she got to where he stood.
Cara stared at him looking straight in his eyes as she walked up to him. Ethan was about to say a word when he stopped suddenly. Cara just passed by him, slightly touching him with her arms, without saying a word to him
"What the heck." He yelled, growling with a high pitch sound. He made no attempt to run after her nor call out to her. Ethan became very mad because he couldn't accept Cara being so indifferent and made up his mind to get her and punish her for her rudeness towards him.
He took a step to take his leave when Priya bumped into him. She had been standing at one corner stalking Ethan to know what happened between him and Cara.
Ethan stared at her for a while without a word and walked away not looking back. Priya felt rejected at an instant. "Look what you've caused, Cara... you won't escape this." She whispered in fury and made haste for her residence.
"What could I do, something must have happened... He doesn't look good," Priya mused, trying to grasp what happened between Ethan and Cara.Priya treaded on the tiled tainted floor, aimlessly in her room, thinking of a way to get back at Cara and win back Ethan's heart. Her mind became jam-packed, piled up with thoughts. "I can't take that from you... you're trying to turn Ethan away from me." She screamed, pointing her finger to the wall, like she was talking to it.She removed the pendant dangling down from her neck, looked at it and smashed it down on the floor. She looked at the pendant lying lifelessly on the floor and picked it up a second time only to smash it against the wall. She laughed hysterically like a wisecrack. "This is how I'm going to end you." She said to herself. She had just made an attempt to damage Cara's pendant given to her by Eretria in exchange for hers which she claimed to be stolen by Cara."Maybe I should go see Ethan again, I wonder how he is doing." She
"Why don't you take a break, Cara... you've been working and I don't think that's good enough." Laurel said, feeling sorry.Cara had been working feverishly over the forthcoming welcome ceremony and the trials under Alpha Luke directive. Sweat dropped down from her face as she bent down, feeling tired. Cara shifted to her wolf and carried a heavy load to another spot, a few miles from where she was. Laurel did the same and followed her but unlike Laurel who doesn't have her wolf yet or probably doesn't have at all as to what she had always thought felt uneasy, carrying the load. She thought about what Priya did to her. She knew within herself that Alpha Luke couldn't have punished her just like that if she hadn't lied against her and she couldn't have defended herself in front of him even though she tried to.Being a close friend of Cara, she could not leave her all by herself doing all the work. "But what have you got with this Priya?" She asked. It took a while before Cara could giv
Ethan sat up on his bed, all by himself inside his room. He reclined back on the bed. He does not really seem to be at his best. He shivered and groaned. "You shouldn't have been here, Roy, have you come to disgrace me again." He stood up and tarried around his room. He reflected back to his past. He had known Roy since when he was very young. They were trained and they both had the best Royal guard as their master. They were best friends of different packs and loved being together."Father, I want to visit the Blackpool Pack," He remembered telling that to his father. He was only nine years and few weeks when he made that request and that was before Priya was even adopted. Their relationship started to hang by a thread when they first had their tournament. They both won till they got to the final stage where they must fight with themselves. That was an inevitable scenario as only a winner would be granted the reward. Roy was only a year older than Ethan. Roy eventually won the tou
Roy bowed his head before Alpha Luke and greeted him. Luke stood up from where he sat and walked up to him, lifting up his head with both of his hands. He smiled to his face and soon placed his arms around his shoulder. He was fond of Roy since when he was little. He admired his strength and confidence to win."How's Michael?" He asked"Is in the good hands of my mother." He repliedMicheal was the father of Prince Roy and the Alpha of the Blackpool Pack. He was loved by everyone and had lots of acolytes, probably that made him to rule over all other packs in his territory. Mated to Zoe made him stronger. Since Zoe was from another pack, their pack had to come together as one and this made them the most populated pack."Micheal and I had once fought together at the trial." He admitted and continued as Roy glared at him in amusement. His father never talked about his friends, though they had a thing, he was never that close to his father. "And how was that, when?" He questioned, wantin
One could hear cheers grow louder such that it filled the air. Shouting and dancing to the tune of the music played filled the entire ground. Everyone in the Shadow white pack including the slaves were gathered in the name of the welcome ceremony that everyone had been anticipating for.Laurel and Cara hurried to the ground where the ceremony was to be held. They had been fitted into their best clothes. Cara's face, even the shape of her body, looked different with the dress she wore. All the werewolves of the pack after dancing and drinking were gathered in the square and lined up to welcome Prince Roy. Cara could tell by the expression and attitude of everyone how eager they were to see and meet the Lycan prince."why is everyone acting this way, Kinda seemed like he had an history in this place, they all seem to know him," She talked all by herself"Laurel, Laurel," She called out to her. Laurel who was already into dancing, holding a cup of drink in her hand, staggered as she wal
Cara felt a little bit dizzy, her eyes looked blurry as she faded, unable to see clearly the faces of those that captured her. She had just woken up after being hit by one of the wolves. The impact of the blow made her weak. She struggled with her tied hands. Her hands had been tied with a thick rope behind her lower back. She wanted to scream but her mouth had been restricted from doing that as it had been sealed with a thick cloth of wool. She could hear the jesting and crackling of the werewolves, laughing with a sense of accomplishment. "Here she is, we've gotten her... who is going to go first." She heard one of them questioning the others. She had been dragged to a corner where no one could scout through and since it was already late in the night. Cara knew that she hadn't been captured because of wandering around the Royal residence, for, if it was so, she would be kneeling in front of Alpha Luke at the moment, bombarded with a lot of questions. What baffled her was she also di
Priya folded her arms moving unsteadily from one spot to another in her room. It was almost dawn and the birds were already chirping over the buildings of the silent clan. She peeped outside from the slightly opened window to see whether anyone was coming. "They should be back by now, have they gone somewhere else," She tilted her head sideways, trying to answer her questions. She sat on the couch feeling restless. She spotted Cara pendant on the floor. She gazed at it and looked away as she felt less concerned about that at the moment.``She had her wolf right, what if she defeated them.` She made a series of irregular movements with her head. "No, no, you can't think like that." She advised herself and picked up the pendant on the floor. She seemed to have seen the pendant before from somewhere or maybe what she thought. Since the day she was given the pendant as compensation for her lost chain, she didn't check it out, probably because to her, it was just some useless pendant and
Roy stared at her after placing her on his bed. He gazed at her wounds, how deep they were. "You're no ordinary girl, you are more than just a mere slave." He whispered. Cara lay still on his bed, still unconscious. The day was almost getting brightened but still slightly darkened. The wolves had started parading around while slaves that were meant to clean the entire pack have began with their daily routine. He picked up a white cloth and deepmed it inside a bowl of water. He rubbed her wounds gently to clean off the stains of blood off her nostrils and shoulder."What is this tattoo... This is a symbol... could it be a symbol of where you were born." He pondered as he was overwhelmed by this questions.``You're the one, I saw in my dreams, you fought the way you did with those Omegas.` He ruminated.Cara wounds began to heal slowly, Roy smiled, glaring at her face. Cara opened her eyes all of a sudden, panting and trying to get up on her feet. "You have to lay still, your wounds are
Abel walked slowly thinking about what Roy would do to them after the betrayal. Though it wasn't his fault but yet he could have stopped it for happening but was not strong enough to stop Eric and his Father. He walked slowly, putting one foot in front of the other in an attempt to meet with his Father. He got to the doorstep of his Father and stood there. He knocked and without waiting for a response from the inside of the room, he barged in and shut the door behind him. He looked at his Father who sat on a wheelchair with his back turned against him. He lost his leg during a fight with a few of the werewolves. He was the one to take the war to them with a few of the hunters. He shouldn't have been the one to lose his legs that night but he eventually did after he tried to save Taylor. They were ambushed as it wasn't what they were expecting. At first they thought they were winning the fight not until a few other wolves came out of nowhere and attacked them from every coners. It w
Roy sat inside the van at the back while Abel sat right next to him and Eric right at his front. Eric spied on him through the mirror that was hanging right above him. Though Roy noticed him but was less concerned about that. He head was raised high up with his eyes closed. L He lingered upward on his seat when the Van climbed on a large stone. He opened his eyes as he noticed the Van had stopped."We are here... but you won't alight here... we'll be going straight to meet him," Abel said to him. He looked up and made a sudden eye contact with Eric whose eyes was fixed on him. Abel knew that Eric did not support his alliance with Roy but Abel understood Roy and thought about it, placing himself in his shoes. He figured out he would also do the same if he should put himself in Roy's position. "I hope he hears you out but you should know... you'll have to fight him and he is experienced in this, it's not going to be easy," He said "I hope it won't be easy," Eric said immediately Abel
Liam rode on his horse, crushing through the forest as he made way for the Blackpool pack. Roy had told him to get back and get Cara to be on her way as he would have set things right before she arrives. That was part of his plan as he thought of hiding her amongst the hunters. It was the only option he have and the only one that could save Cara and the baby. Since the pack was not a safe place for them, not even in the city but being in the midst of the hunter would be a much better option. The werewolves, even though they had abilities were all scared to cross their boundary and attack the hunters, knowing that many of them would die at the hand of the hunters. They had never once taken the fight to them. He believed that if he could only get them to see from his point of view, there will be no reason to go to war.The baby would be the one who o stir up the war but if she would not be there for everyone to fight over her, then no war could be started. Liam crossed the path which th
"We have to go... we have to catch up with them," Roy said immediately Abel finished with his words. "This must have happened while I was gone... It wasn't here when I passed by," Liam said and took a brief look at Roy. "Something must be going on in the city... we have to hurry," He added."No, we have to find the hunters," Roy said immediately."And do what... kill them," Abel said and rushed right in front of Roy to stop him. He had not a slight fear in him when he heard the words Roy uttered. Liam wanted to grab him and pushed him away but Roy stopped him, knowing he was fighting for those he cared about."I feel what you feel Abel... Did you notice your reaction," He asked and sighed. "You were not even scared of me despite the fact that you were always scared... what gave you the confidence," He asked and smiled. He took a few steps closer to Abel."You had your courage because you're trying to protect your people," Roy said and took a deep breath in. "You could see why I woul
Not long after that Roy had taken his leave from the spot which he had his fight with the werewolf alongside Liam and Abel, he stopped when he sighted a thick fog of smoke that went up into the sky a little distance from them as it was eight ahead of them. Liam and Abel who were right behind him also halted as they saw what he had seen. "What is this.... this might be another trap," Liam said and rode his horse closer to Roy so that he was right beside him. "I know... it might, most of them knows that I'm away from the pack since there were intruders in the pack," He said to Liam and looked away after which he had took a brief look at him."We don't know what will be waiting for us on the other side... it's difficult to see through it," Liam said, waiting to hear from Roy about what he thought they could do. "We could use him... the human," He suggested but at that moment, Roy refute his opinion and made it known to him that Abel can't be hurt as he had choosen to trust him despite
Roy held the wolf which had spoken for the rest of his pack after which he smashed him down on the ground. He landed another punch right on his face and in no time, turned his head to notice Liam after which he heard the sound of his voice. He sighed Liam already thrown down on the floor with the side of his head bleeding, profusely. Roy got up to help him out. He ran into their midst without hesitation with the three of them surrounding him. He fought them so hard, piercing them with his claws. He got hold of one of them and threw him hard to the ground. He was struck by one of them right on his lower back, causing him to lose his balance. The three of them rushed at him all at once, leaving him at the middle. They slashed their hands trying to cut him with their claws. He defended himself, griping them one after the other and hitting them hard with his palm. He could have killed them, piercing them with his claws and be done with them once and for all but he choose not to, knowing
Abel was thrown into a muse by the words he heard Liam speak... Though he had no idea what he name was but with the way he spoke with Roy, they should be very close and had been a long time since they saw each other. He gulped and looked away as he noticed Roy stare. Roy turned to Liam and asked him if he knew how he could get to the city without anyone noticing him."Why are you going to the city... you haven't answered me yet... is it true," He asked and walked hurriedly to stop Roy from walking back and forth as he seemed restless at the moment after hearing the story of Liam. He never expected that he would have to be that way and based on the fact that it had already started in the city. He stopped and pressed on with his gaze on Liam and without giving him an answer, Liam got the answer himself. He could tell by the look on his face."So it was true... and where is Cara," He said and at that moment, Roy rushed to him and grabbed him by his neck. He held him firmly and almost lif
Roy held Abel firmly on his mouth as he tried to make a sound when he was pierced by thorns around the bush they hid themselves. He turned his head slowly to notice Roy and at that time, Roy tilted his head as a gesture so he won't have to make the sound he was about to make as it could rat them out since he was trying to hide himself from whosever that was stalking them. He withdrew his hand from Abel's mouth and closed his eyes. He tilted his head subsequently with his lips partly opened as he tried to catch the scent a second time all for the sole purpose of getting the direction the scent was coming from. ``Why does this smell this way... I've come across this wolf before but I don't know where,`` He thought to himself and packed a fistful of sand in his hand. He propelled his head forward and peeped to have a look at his surroundings but he sighted no one."We can't stay here all night... maybe you're mistaken Roy," Abel whispered to him with a low tone. "We can't move out...
Roy and Abel rode side by side with each other on their horses. The clouds was dark and the moon lurked around the clouds slowly like it was moving. Roy looked upward at the sky and viewed it for some moments. He folded his lips with his eyes lids slowly closed in such a way that it seemed like his eyes were both closed but they were not.Abel stared at him all the while with his eyes pressed on him. He looked for a while without noticing the branch of tree that shoot out from a tree and was right ahead of him in such a way that he might get injured by the branch if he choose not to avoid it as it had some sharp end that might cause him to back down and not be able to move on again but would have to rest and probably take some break before they set out again.Roy, though wasn't looking his way as his eyes were fixed on the clouds and the moon itself. The moon reminded him constantly of the vision that Cara had seen concerning the child she would born as it would be on the full moon. H
