Cara felt a little bit dizzy, her eyes looked blurry as she faded, unable to see clearly the faces of those that captured her. She had just woken up after being hit by one of the wolves. The impact of the blow made her weak. She struggled with her tied hands. Her hands had been tied with a thick rope behind her lower back. She wanted to scream but her mouth had been restricted from doing that as it had been sealed with a thick cloth of wool. She could hear the jesting and crackling of the werewolves, laughing with a sense of accomplishment. "Here she is, we've gotten her... who is going to go first." She heard one of them questioning the others. She had been dragged to a corner where no one could scout through and since it was already late in the night. Cara knew that she hadn't been captured because of wandering around the Royal residence, for, if it was so, she would be kneeling in front of Alpha Luke at the moment, bombarded with a lot of questions. What baffled her was she also di
Priya folded her arms moving unsteadily from one spot to another in her room. It was almost dawn and the birds were already chirping over the buildings of the silent clan. She peeped outside from the slightly opened window to see whether anyone was coming. "They should be back by now, have they gone somewhere else," She tilted her head sideways, trying to answer her questions. She sat on the couch feeling restless. She spotted Cara pendant on the floor. She gazed at it and looked away as she felt less concerned about that at the moment.``She had her wolf right, what if she defeated them.` She made a series of irregular movements with her head. "No, no, you can't think like that." She advised herself and picked up the pendant on the floor. She seemed to have seen the pendant before from somewhere or maybe what she thought. Since the day she was given the pendant as compensation for her lost chain, she didn't check it out, probably because to her, it was just some useless pendant and
Roy stared at her after placing her on his bed. He gazed at her wounds, how deep they were. "You're no ordinary girl, you are more than just a mere slave." He whispered. Cara lay still on his bed, still unconscious. The day was almost getting brightened but still slightly darkened. The wolves had started parading around while slaves that were meant to clean the entire pack have began with their daily routine. He picked up a white cloth and deepmed it inside a bowl of water. He rubbed her wounds gently to clean off the stains of blood off her nostrils and shoulder."What is this tattoo... This is a symbol... could it be a symbol of where you were born." He pondered as he was overwhelmed by this questions.``You're the one, I saw in my dreams, you fought the way you did with those Omegas.` He ruminated.Cara wounds began to heal slowly, Roy smiled, glaring at her face. Cara opened her eyes all of a sudden, panting and trying to get up on her feet. "You have to lay still, your wounds are
"Cara, Cara...." Laurel felt worried as she called out to her. She woke up to the sound of the whistle blown and could not find Cara by her side. Since they were used to going out and working together. "Where could she have gone to, this early morning." She stood up from where she laid and searched outside the room. The rest of the slaves were already on their way to the field and the punishment for getting late to the field required twelve lashes of rod. She started walking all by herself hoping that Cara would join her soon enough before the guards knew anything about her missing, but that does not change the actuality of her being in a frenzy state about what might had happened to Cara. "Have something happened again between her and Priya... Maybe she was called by Alpha Luke." She pondered not knowing what to believe."Laurel, Laurel." She looked back, hearing her name being called from behind. She already knew it was Cara since they've been together for sometime now and with no
Priya followed behind the guards that hauled Cara and Laurel across the pack. Her neck still bleeding as she could not heal herself following the actuality that she didn't have her wolf. She ran to her room the moment they passed in front of her residence, leaving the guards alone with Cara and Laurel on their way to Alpha Luke residence. Eyes were all on them as they dragged them across the slaves and the citizen of the pack. She closed the door on entering inside her room. "What was that, it was like a flash of memories." She muttered, feeling uneasy. She had always struggled remembering things from her past but this sudden flash of memories she recollected when Cara stiffed her neck was redoubtable. She remembered her father very well, including her mother but she never knew how her Father died. Alpha Luke was the one who gave her the news of her father's death who died alongside him in a war with another pack.He shared stories of how His father, Henry gave his life for the sake
Laurel POV...It was a very long time ago, I could still vividly remember the colour of the sun whenever it arises every morning. I made it a daily routine to wake up before the sun rises. In order to see this view I called it beautiful to such an extent that my mother made it a habit to wake me up whenever I slept. She knew what was best for me and would do anything to make me feel good. The view point from where I used to live allowed its serenity to be so beautiful. The chirping sound of the birds that flew over the sky and from one tree to another. It was so peaceful and beautiful.I missed her so much, I'm actually talking about my mother. We lived a complicated life from other packs. My father actually blamed me for that. He was once part of the most important member of a pack. I was very young then but I could still recall how the symbol was. It wasn't that big a pack and they don't really have that big enough residing place to shelter everyone. It was told to me by my mother.
Cara felt sorry for Laurel after hearing her story. Cara had a peaceful and blissful childhood, Her father being an Alpha and the Luna of her pack, she had no idea how one could be an outcast since when she was young, hated by everyone except for her mother and father and later sold as a slave. "I'm sorry Laurel, I had no idea how much you suffered." She said, cleaning the tears rolling down her eyes with her thumb. Laurel cried silently, unable to control herself."This can't be the end of us, we must somehow escape." She said, giving Laurel a sense of hope.Cara sighed and inhaled. She wanted to say something but stopped again. "You're thinking whether you should tell me about yourself or not." Laurel asked, already knew the answer to the question"How do you know... it seems like you have some special ability after all." She chuckled. She told her about herself, why she wanted to escape from the pack. Laurel said nothing, only smiled at her. She gave a smirk and leaned on the wall
Roy stood and chuckled to Ethan's plans. He stood before Alpha Luke who's back was turned against him. "Roy, you're here... you must have heard what happened." He asked, feeling tense. Roy kept silent, his eyes directed on him. He thought about what to say to get Luke on his side. "You didn't catch them, fleeing away from the pack or trying to escape... The guards had told you what they heard from Priya." He said, making frequent gestures."What do you mean?" He asked"I mean, we have to hear from Cara before deciding what to do with them." He answeredAlpha Luke seemed agitated, listening to what Roy said. He turned to ask why he was concerned about her. The only time he got to see them both was when she had the fight with the Omegas. "Are you speaking for her... You don't even know her," Alpha looked shrugged. "It's about justice and not letting your emotions cloud your judgement... Priya must have done something that stirred up her wolf to react that way." He said with confidenc
