Chapter Seventy-One

Everyone was trying to leave for the wedding and with Kaden getting on my nerves, I had no idea if we were going to be able to catch up with the wedding service.

I needed to be there before the wedding so I could talk to her and offer the advice I could. I stopped for a while, listening for a footstep but i heard none. I was beginning to simmer.

"Honey! We are going to be late! Come on." I yelled, shaking my head. Amber was soon running down the stairs.

"Where's your brother?" I asked, stretching my hand across the stairs to stop her from running.

"And please don't run down the stairs anymore, okay?" I said to her, giving her a gentle pat on the cheeks. She nodded before replying.

"He's with daddy." I glanced down at the luggage. There were no guards in sight to help me with it so i just had to wait until Kaden was down. He had always complained about how I was too relaxed whenever it was time to get ready for a journey like this, but today he was guilty.
