Chapter Seventy-Four

The room was filled with the aroma of freshly prepared food but I knew that eating we just felt like I was pouring ashes into my own mouth. I could not eat because my heart was shattered.

I looked up again at the table to see the pastries, grapes and all other sorts of food that was scattered around it because none of it appeared to me at all. I could not eat because my heart was filled with guilt and the Guilt no matter how much I tried to state a side continued to gnaw at me from the inside.

It felt as though I was being ripped apart from inside because how could I sit here and try to eat while my mate and my unborn child were in the captivity of an enemy who I knew nothing about.

The worst part of the whole thing was that the enemy who had abducted my maids had not offered any kind of Ransom and it was clear that they wanted her to themselves because they needed something.

She was very Gifted so that might be their main aim but I could not say how she couldn't have gotten herse
