Chapter Seventy-Three

Thankfully she was able to steady herself before she bolted off again in full tilt, her tiny legs carrying her with boundless energy.

"Goddess." I muttered, knowing I had to go get her immediately before something worse happened.

I quickly stood up from the window side where I was seated.

"She's just like his father, they never rest. You should let her. " My mother said, smiling the moment she knew what was happening.

"I'm not taking the chance mother." I said, hurrying towards the door before she said something else to stop me. I could hear her laughter as I walked through the passageway, en route to the outside.

A tender smile crossed my face the moment I saw Ichabod running after her. They were chasing a butterfly and the moment she caught it, they admired it for a while, the laughter ceasing. She flashed a grin the moment she saw me and stretched her hands like I had caught her doing something wrong.
