I finally convinced Davina to go lay down so I could let the nurses take Malayah’s body for burial. I ordered Dr. Ase to move Maliyah to her room and hook up everything he needs to monitor her in there. Mark dragged Owen to the training field because he was losing control. I don’t blame him. He just lost his mate, we just lost our sister and now I have to go tell mom. I am sure she knows but I also have to tell her about the girls.

“Derek! Where is Mark?” I can hear the panic in Daniela’s voice.

“He’s fine. He took Owen to the training field, he’s not doing well.”

“Why? What happened?”

“Keila died,” I choke out, tears brimming my eyes again.

“Oh my goddess! Derek what happened?”

“I was hoping you could tell me.”

“She said she was going to herb storage to help the injured upon your return. I went to nap and your mom has been busy with the kids. We figured she was preparing with the nurses.”
