Amanda was loved by everyone. She was brainy, smart and what's more very good at sports. Her dream was to become a top shot scientist and to achieve that, Amanda knew she had to work towards it. Her parents were her world, she looked up to them for everything. She couldn't quite imagine how lucky she was to have parents like that. They gave her everything she needed and supported her in her dreams and aspirations. Then tragedy struck. A once happy family, bounded by love was severely ruined. Amanda's parents died in a plane crash on their way to an event. At that moment, Amanda knew her life was coming to an end. For several weeks, the star girl was out of school, battling with her mental health. The only succour she had in those trying times were her friends, Emily and Leslie. Gradually, Amanda's life began to take shape again but yet, she knew nothing would ever remain the same. Like a beam of light, under the darkness, Parker came her way. At first, he resulted to bullying her, thinking he could oppress her as a result of the jealousy he had towards her being the school's star girl and all. At the end, he realized that what he felt for her wasn't hatred but love and it was evident in the fact that he found himself being drawn towards her. Amanda, thinking it was all a lie avoided him like the plague. She didn't believe she loved him but yet, there was a nagging feeling within her that he was something more than that. Till then, she was determined to keep her feelings for him in check until they just faded away. But one thing she failed to realize was that true love never dies.

Amanda, a 17 year old girl currently in her senior high school lived in a mini bungalow with flowers adorning the sides. A huge gate that separated the house from the street stood gallantly at the entrance. Amanda was a nerd, the kind of girl who seemed to know it all. She was one of the brightest students in her school and the best, topping the charts in her class.
Most weren't by Amanda's brilliance simply because her mother, Corinne was a renowned archeologist who worked for the New York archeological center. Amanda was not only a nerd but also a drop dead gorgeous girl. Her long jet black hair was usually packed in a loose ponytail, her cat-like eyes seemed to glimmer whenever she was excited about something which was usually a science project and her long lashes fanned her eyes. Amanda was the perfect definition of beauty and brains. She was currently working on a school homework to be submitted the following day when her mother walked into her room. Amanda took after her mum's features as the older woman also had jet black hair but with some grey undertones adorning the sides. She was of medium height only reaching her daughter's shoulder who took her father's height. She was currently dressed in a chiffon blouse over a knee length skirt. "I'll be off now darling, you be good okay?" her mother said."Sure mum, I'll be good. Would you be home tomorrow?" Amanda asked."I'm not so certain honey but I'll call if anything happens. Your breakfast is on the countertop, warm it if it gets too cold. Love you honey. "her mum said before leaving the room."Love you too mum." Amanda said. After completing her assignment, Amanda decided to watch some of the movies she had missed. Her movies basically comprised of science fiction which would further brighten her knowledge on her chosen field. Some minutes into the movie, her phone beeped indicating she had a call. It was from her closest friend, Emily. "Hey girl." Emily screeched."Wow, slow down. How are you darling." Amanda said."I'm good, anyway I have some huge gossip." Emily said.Emily was a drama queen and sometimes, Amanda wondered how she put up with her. Nevertheless, she liked her for one thing and that was her honesty. Emily never told a lie and even when she did, she always had a good reason. "Okay, gossip girl. Give me the gist." Amanda smiled into the phone. She picked up a packet of potato chips lieing in the kitchen cupboard. As she made her way back to the living room, her favorite movie was just ending."There's a new guy in our school and from what I heard, he's hot." Emily screeched. "Uhhh sorry to burst your excitement Emily but have you forgotten that we're targets for bullies, what makes you think this boy wouldn't be one of them." Amanda said. "Oh no, I don't think so. Ian and his gangs are total douchebags but I have a feeling that this new guys wouldn't be like that. I just know it." Emily said.Amanda sighed. It was in times like this that it was so difficult to convince Emily. When her friend's mind was made up, that was it. Thinking about school the next day made Amanda a bit downcast. She couldn't stand anymore of Ian and his gangs constant bullying. They were a nightmare, one that she desperately wished she could wake up from. "Helooo, Amanda, you there?" Emily said."Oh yes... Yes, I am. Sorry, I spaced out a bit." she said. "Darling, I know what you're thinking of. Trust me, Ian and his goons are going to pay for everything they've ever done to you. Trust me on that." Emily assured.Amanda sighed, dabbing a lone tear that had fallen from her left eye. She switched off the t.v, needing some silence. Emily was right, Ian and his friends would surely pay for everything they had ever done to her and her friend, Leila who was also a victim of their bullying."Thank you. I believe so too." Amanda said, finally. "Oh goodness me. How could I have forgotten to tell you his name. His name is Parker and I heard he's tall, taller than the average boy in school." Emily gushed.Amanda laughed at her friend's eagerness. She could tell that she badly wanted to meet him. For a moment, Amanda wondered how she would feel especially when she met him. From what Emily had said, it was obvious that they were in the same class."Oh shit! I have to go now, duty calls. My mom would have my head if I don't prepare some dinner before she gets back. See you kid, and yes I'm still a day older than you. Love ya." Emily said before cutting the call.Amanda resumed her movie but this time another one of her favorites was airing. She had no idea what to expect from this new boy but deep down, she really hoped that he wouldn't turn out to be just like one of them, she didn't think she could handle anymore of those crooks. It was easy handling Ian and his goons and might she say, their sassy girlfriends who thought that they were the most gorgeous. She would just have to see what the following day held and hope for the best. The following day, Amanda dressed up smartly for school. Her bright blue shirt was neatly tucked in her grey skirt. Her long jet black hair was tied into a severe ponytail. She put on her glasses as she stepped out of the house. Her mother would be arriving home later that night as she still had one or two things to finish up at the office. As she made her way to school, she couldn't help but wonder why there were few people on the streets. Soon, she got her answer. Today was a day set aside to celebrate the state workers and most of them were supposed to be at home. When she got to school, the first person she saw was her closest friend, Leslie. Leslie was a brown haired girl which was styled in a pixie cut. Her glasses sat atop her head as she bounded down the stairs to meet Amanda whom she had already sighted from afar."Good morning Leslie."Amanda said. "Darling, Lord knows I missed you so much." Leslie said, tackling her in a big hug."Can't breath, can't breath. You can let me go now." Amanda gasped. "Sorry." Leslie smiled, sheepishly.Amanda laughed as they climbed the steps leading to the school building. When they got to the school locker rooms, Emily joined them. Emily was an African American whose hair was admired by most of the girls in school. It was full and had a black sheen that seemed to glow whenever the sun reflected on it. "Gosh you need to see him. He's in the hall." Emily giggled."We're not so invested in him like you are saem." Amanda said. "Fine. I'll be at the hall, oggling him." Emily said, leaving the duo.Amanda smiled as she put the books she would be using for the day into her bag. She didn't care about the so called new boy all she wanted was to get over this day without those bullies but it seemed that luck wasn't on her side as Ian and his friends chose that moment to walk in."Who do we have here?" Ian sneered."What do you want?" Leslie choked. "Just here to say a warm welcome." Amanda cackled. "Please leave us." Amanda said"And what if I don't?" Ian sneered. "Then you'll have me to contend with." a tall boy said.''Thank you.'' Parker said.Amanda who had been in the middle of waking up and sleeping yawned as she opened her eyes. She had just had the best sex ever and she knew that in time to come, she would never forget any of this. Parker made her feel like a woman, a woman who was dignified and not like those other women men used, stories she had heard from her friends.''For what?'' Amanda asked.''For starters, for doing this with me. I know you can easily get your pick from all the numerous men out there but you chose me. That means something to me.'' Parker smiled. He moved closer to her, taking her warm hands in his. He couldn't quite believe he had a beautiful woman in his bed. It all seemed like a dream but Parker knew it was no dream, it was real. As real as it could get.''You don't have to thank me. I love to be with you just as you are to me so no need to thank me. All we have to figure out now is how to manage this without letting anyone else know about it.'' Amanda said.Parker
"How do you feel baby?"Amanda asked. It's been a few days since Parker was attacked and to say he made a speedy recovery would be an understatement, it was amazing. At the beginning, when it first happened, Amanda had her doubts whether he would recover but at the end, he not only surprised her but everyone who knew.Jamie and Amanda both knew that it was his strength that saved him but at the same time, Parker was so strong on his own that nothing could actually hurt him."I'm okay baby, you don't need to worry about me. I told you to stop asking about me, I'm more concerned about you. Tell me darling, how do you feel?" Parker asked. That was just one thing about him. Even though he was in pains, he would still make sure she was alright. That was the kind of man she loved and Amanda was quite glad she got him."Asides being scared that you might not make it, I'm okay over all." She smiled.Parker leaned closer to her, giving her a warm kiss on her lips. This was the best moment for t
‘’The Dremis’s have sought for outside help.’’ Aliyah began. If Lucas was surprised to hear this, he hid it well. For a group not so grounded as the Dremis’s, he had a feeling that they might likely have sought outside help. Now, it was happening and he didn’t know what to make of it. ‘’Wow! Really, wow!’’ Lucas said.‘’I know, that was my initial expression when he told me this.’’ Aliyah said. With those words, she had committed herself and she knew it was best for her to tell him everything at that moment because he would never stop until he found out what she really meant by those words.‘’Diabla, what do you mean?’’ Lucas asked.Aliyah sighed, taking a deep breath. She didn’t want to be seen as a traitor. Even though she was the head and could do as she pleases, her loyalty still remained with her group and she would rather die than compromise that.‘’I lied when i told you i went to see the accident victim.’’ Aliyah said.‘’I knew you were lying but I just didn’t know where you
Lucas was getting ready to leave his office when he received a call from Aliyah. He had been expecting her call and he was quite glad when he saw her name flash on his screen. Ever since his first kidnap, he had also been very careful on how he moved about. He didn't want to do anything that would cause her pain or put himself in a position that wasn't good at all. He needed to be careful now because a baby, his child, was also in the picture.Lucassmiled broadly and picked it up. He heared gushes from her as she thanks him for the dress. He knew she was going to do this but still, he was surprised at how enthusiastic she sounded. This just told him that she actually appreciated the gift and within him, he planned to give her more gifts as the day went by.''Hey baby, I see you like your new dress.'' he smiled.''Aliyah, I not only like it, I love it. Thank you so much.'' Aliyah gushed. She had always been a sucker for pretty dresses and anytime anyone gifted her one, she never faile
"Oh my gosh! No no no. It's not going through." Aliyah said. She had been trying to mind link Lucas ever since but the damn server was being distrusted by something or someone. It was very frustrating to say the least."Oh my gosh! What's going on? Where's Lucas?" Aliyah asked, pacing about. She gripped her phone in her hands, pacing about with tears streaming down her eyes. If anything were to ever happen to Lucas, Aliyah knew she'd never forgive herself nor him because she had warned him not to go anywhere but his stubbornness and insistence to go had caused him a whole lot."What's happening?" She asked.Patrick rushed in at that moment, panthing in her normal form. Aliyah had called her when she couldn't get a hold of Lucas because in that moment, she knew it was only Patrick that could calm her down."You still haven't gotten a hold of him?" Patrick asked, morphing back to her normal form."No and the worst part of it all is that the mind link seems to be scrambled somehow." Aliy
"Babe, I need to get to another town this evening. I need to pick up something from my office there." Lucas said. It was early in the morning, with the birds singing in the air and the morning animals chirping in the forests round about them. It was also the day of the anniversary, the day when both Aliyah and Lucas would be in their strongest form. "You realize what day it is today right?" Aliyah asked. Lucas knew but still, he knew he had to take the trip. It was very important not only to him but to the entire company and he wouldn't trade it for anything else. "This is important to me Aliyah, you've got to understand." He said Aliyah didn't know what was more important than staying home when he clearly knew that going out on a anniversary day was not a good decision. "Can't it wait till the following day?" Aliyah asked. "It honestly can't. If I could, I wouldn't bother going today." Lucas said. Aliyah thought about it and judging from the look in his eyes, she knew it had
LucasI couldn't lie to myself that what Slyvia said hurt me a whole lot. The bite and sting in her voice hurt me a lot but the last thing I would do was to see how much she hurt me. I would rather eat sand than allow her to see that she actually got to me.''Bitch!'' I hissed. Her disgusting attitude and behavior was going to get her into trouble one day and I would be there to watch her downfall and also laugh at her.I made my way back to my room. There were many things I needed to do and the earlier I got on with it, the better for me. I didn't have time to worry about someone like her when there were other things I could worry about.Slyvia was of no importance to me and in that moment, I knew I needed to put her in her place. That was the best thing I could do to someone like her.''So… how did it go?'' a voice said.I didn't need to look back to know that it was Patrick who spoke. He was very inquisitive as well as nosey and would always want to know everything that was going o
"Parker, let's go make some cookies." Amanda said. She was in the mood to eat and actually make some of the delicious cookies with Parker. With him, she always felt safe, like nothing could actually go wrong which was her own safe space."Now?" He asked."Yes, or don't you?" Amanda asked. Not that she'd be angry about that but she just knew that the next time she decided to make it, she wouldn't have the energy to."I'm game." Parker smiled.Together, they made their way towards the kitchen, holding hands like lovestruck teenagers. Sometimes, they couldn't get a hold of themselves which at times was very annoying especially to Jamie who couldn't stand them at all."If Jamie was here, you know he'd probably shout at us for being so cringy." Amanda laughed."Yeah... Yeah, I told the guy to get a girlfriend but he feels so reluctant about it. I'll probably talk to him about it again." Parker said."Is he scared of commitments?" Amanda asked. That was the only thing that came to her mind
"Yo! Parker, I have to get out for a while." Jamie said. His plan was to go to the brotherhood's office to tell them that he would be leaving soon. It hurt him to leave but he had to get back to his mother and also finish up his school."Okay, stay safe bro." Parker said from the inner room.He was helping Amanda with some of her homework which some of her friends had mailed to her. It was off to say the least because it was usually the other way around with her teaching him. But if there was one thing Parker was good at, it was English literature. When it came to that, he was champion, nobody could beat him in that and it was no wonder he aced all his papers in that aspect."Will do." Jamie said.He left the house, shutting the door firmly. Ever since Amanda was attacked in school by that crazy monster, she'd been taking home lessons which was safer and both Parker and her uncle could keep an eye on her.Her uncle who had planned to leave before might not be leaving in a long time.
